The role of pastor is greatly overstated in the modern church. And yes, ordaining women to be pastors is unbiblical. However, they can teach and should teach if they are so called to do so. "Pastor" is mentioned twice in the NT. Elders should also be apt to teach.
Yeah, Phoebe of Cenchrea (Romans 16:1-2) had a deaconess role in her church and Paul trusted her enough to ask her to deliver the letter to Rome.

Is this the same Southern Baptists that were shamed into releasing a 205 page list of "hundreds of pastors and church-affiliated people" accused of sexual abuse that was made public by a whistleblower employee? Those Southern Baptists?

Thank you so much for the article! I'm always flabbergasted when religious institutions try to hide this kind of stuff. The Bible says we're suppose to expose it and address it tout suite. Paul the Apostle set a good example of how to deal with these types of issues: 1 Corinthians 5:1-5.

--so hateful.

A rant from the basement pulpit at Westboro Baptist..... good company.

I don't really know if this is Westboro Baptist. I've read about them and it's more of a cult then an actual valid church.

We can speculate from now till doomsday or just accept God's word at face value: 1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." It's not rocket science.

Nope. This is a real Baptist church.
Wesboro is Baptist in name only. Their pastor preaches a fake gospel, so it's a fake church.
WB doesn't even believe in baptist distinctives and have nothing in common with this church other than a disgust of the sin of sodomy.

The Southern Baptist pastors used to preach against sodomy too.
The Southern Baptist pastors used to preach against these issues.
Do you seriously think it's ok for Barrack Sodom Hussein Obama to make a month set aside for the sodomites and cross dressers?
Obama isn't Christian. I'm not sure why Rick Warren is hob-nobbing with him.

You should get to know him and what he's about. He leading large portions of the body of Christ to Hell.
Yeah, he has a lot of influence having formerly lead such a large church as Saddleback. I first heard of him though among church circles because of his book, "Purpose Driven Life".

I found a radio discussion on his book on whether it is biblical or not:

Actual Radio Recording:

I also heard he's participating in that one-world religious ecumenicalism, which in the Bible, God was never thrilled about.

The apostle Paul said he doesn't think women should preach but last time I checked, Paul isn't God

This is a pretty great video short. I was always confused about what women can do in regarding to serving the Lord in preaching and teaching. This video clarified this so much. Thank you!
You're welcome. The liberals have turned it into another one of there ways to divide and control their agendas. I will add that most men are not qualified to pastor a church either.
There are a list of qualifications in several places about that too. However, all believers are supposed to preach the gospel according to John 16:15 and many other passages.
Everyone has an important role to do.

Here is book review that is more positive so people can determine for themselves:

I think Obama was a strange mix of leftist humanist and Muslim, definitely not Christian.
Opposed to the great orange one who bragged about grabbing women's genitals and walking in on 15-year-old girls while they were changing... Oh and don't forget when he talked about how hot his own daughter is. Totally exemplary Christian values

It's not when someone chooses their own opinions over God's word.
I get that. But sometimes you act like you're speaking for God when it's just really just your opinion.

Christians are not to just believe everyone blindly. We Christians all have access to the Lord and He can tell us Himself what is what on virtually every matter. You're not the only one that listens to Him.

I think the scriptures are the scriptures. Popular or not, like it or not, God has said it.

Warren's church has also been involved in the WEF, so I'm thinking something's going there and it ain't good.

Why is his church involved in the WEF??? What can he contribute to the World Economic Forum???

I counted 22 people but I only got through the A's (the list is alphabetical). The Southern baptist look like a great tree with a whole lot of evil birds roosting in the branches.
