You may have seen a couple of 'He gets Us" ads if you watched the Superbowl. Or you may have seen these popping up elsewhere as you watch TV-- it's part of a $2Billion campaign funded in part by the owner of Hobby Lobby and other donors trying to get the message out to a bigger tent -- a broader audience.

What do you think? Have you seen any of these?

The commercials are powerful, no one can disagree with that. I also think they also present an important message, He gets us/everyone. I can see why the commercials make us uncomfortable; they cover uncomfortable topics.

It is an interesting commercial. Wow, is it really $2 Billion? That would pay for a ridiculous amount of media.

The adds are too vague. If you're going to step into big conversations then you better have a clear message. He gets us is just not enough to let people know what your agenda is. I have been to their FB page and I still felt the same way.

Similarly-- some Christians came out swinging when they say the depiction of the Christ on the back of the jacket Damar Hamlin wore to the Super Bowl. Blasphemy! -they scolded.

What does the world see, when Christians attack and scold and scald like this? They see attacking, scolding, scalding Christians-- and it's not a good look.

I think that the two Super Bowl ads cost a total of $20 million. The projected cost for the ad program for the Servant Foundation (dba The Signatry) is said to be a Billion dollars, but I've heard the $2B figure mentioned as other donors come on board. There are some very well-heeled supporters.

If the world is displaying a message like this in light of all the upheaval in society with lgbtq and more, I believe that there will be a push to love and be tolerable to the wickedness of this age with the emphasis on "Jesus gets us, Why can't you?" Just like the high jacking of "Judge not lest ye be judged."

I do not advocate that we do not love those in sinful lifestyles. I just know what is prophesied to come and the time is near for it to begin in earnest. I also know that there is great deception and even the elect could be deceived, if it is possible.

We must never forget what it cost to secure our salvation and that repentance, not acceptance, is how it is appropriated.

That’s kind of the point of the campaign. Also the focus of the ad you said you couldn’t bother to watch. Love those who are hated.

I am sorry, I actually did watch the ad you posted. I meant that I had not seen these ads before.

I got from the ad to love each other and don't let your passionate opinions get between accepting each other.

I'd think it is not a good look to wear a jacket that mocks Christ and makes Jesus into a paper doll with add-on accessories.

Imagine if instead that jacket would have depicted Allah.

I know, not a chance that would happen.

I've seen all the He Gets Us commercials.
The one that really sticks out is this one.

Yes it is vague but it gets people thinking, especially people who have a bad impression of Jesus/Christianity. Most agnostics/atheists even some Christians think God doesn't care. If the videos accomplish anything they show that God cares.
