Transparency is a core value.
Let's be absolutely clear:

Do you affirm that Judas does not have eternal life and will not reign with Christ in the resurrection on one of 12 thrones judging Israel?

Do you affirm that is your belief Christ prophesied Judas would reign on one of 12 thrones judjing Israel in the resurrection and it is also your belief that Christ promised Judas eternal life?

Do you believe Christ is God?

agree! I believe God and never have I said otherwise.
How do you still not understand that when you say Jesus says things that aren't true you're calling Him a liar?

How do you still not understand that if Jesus says He won't lose any of His sheep it means He will not lose any of His sheep?

You're so weird.
I thought these were such obvious things, but you are teaching me a whole new level of human nature

Since Jesus said Judas would have eternal life and then Judas clearly lost it, you're the one who believes otherwise

If Jesus says Judas has eternal life and Judas does not, then Jesus is a liar.

That simple.

Jesus is The Truth and there is no lie in Him
There is no argument about the fate of Judas.
Therefore Jesus did not say Judas has eternal life.
To say He did is to make Jesus false.

That simple.

You believe there is no lie in Christ, or you don't.

I can't believe we have to keep going over this, it's so elementary.

But we keep doing it because you still don't believe that Jesus The Good Shepherd does the will of God, which is that not one of His sheep be lost. Which is the whole reason you want to think Judas was saved and then lost: so you can say salvation is not a sure hope.

This is also not believing everything in the Bible. The Bible is very clear: whoever believes has eternal life and will never perish. Tho they die, they will live.

I not against you. I am against you saying that you believe what the Bible says when you actually don't. I am against you believing lies; I am against you lacking faith.

You CAN trust Him at His word. He WILL finish what He began. He WILL save you no matter how much you don't deserve it, if you just believe Him and trust Him. No matter how crap you are at trusting or understanding

EVERYTHING He said is true and accurate
He is faithful

Well...I'll admit I'm curious to jump in on this back and forth but I have mixed opinions about both viewpoints. Maybe you both are just seeing things from a different perspective? Using Judas as a linchpin for losing one's salvation seems like a terrible starting place to me and I don't see why anyone would...it's an outlier to me. I did sort of stumble upon this though to be fair. I'm still growing and I don't know how to factor Judas in really...there should be a bit of elbow room in each of our maturation processes.

On topic? My one sentence answer is that I believe the Bible preceptually (line upon line) but not letter upon letter.

I wish otherwise

But i think you are wise
I would wish it too were it not for knowing that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are
called according to His purpose. You are wiser by far than I, and have the patience to endure his abuse. To God be the glory...

It’s very simple, posthuman, Judas lost his salvation. See how that works? Everyone who has salvation has been told they have salvation. Everyone who loses it is told they lose it. Repeatedly in the Bible, walking in the Spirit, faith, and obedience to God are required. Repentance is required.

If one doesn’t do or have these things. they are subject to losing their salvation. I don’t believe in OSAS like you do or faith alone like you do. So my talking points will always reject them. All of that is religious dogmas from denominations. The Bible is very clear.

You got it all wrong. Being introduced to the reality of Judas has really thrown you for a loop it seems. Rather than submit to God, you’re all to eager to lash out at those around you and falsely accuse them of evil things.

How many times have you been saved? Surely there have been countless of times when you did not walk in the truth and lost it. How many?

Luke 6
12In those days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the night in prayer to God. 13When daylight came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also designated as apostles: 14Simon, whom He named Peter, and his brother Andrew; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; 15Matthew and Thomas; James son of Alphaeus and Simon called the Zealot; 16Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

I could ask the same of you. As far I know, none. That’s a judgement call by God isn’t it.

Of course.

As well as

John 6:64
"there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.

John 6:70
"Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?"

Judas obviously believed that Jesus was God's son. (Very few believed what Judas did)
But Judas used the money pouch to enrich his own life.

So....both are true.

But Judas erroniously believed that God would protect his son from being harmed...and if Jesus was in trouble God would intervene in a mighty way to protect Jesus...instituting the Kingdom immediately....and as an apostle Judas himself would benefit. Judas may have been paid the 30 pieces of silver but he could have cared less about that measly sum...he was expecting a lot more than that from his treachery.

Which is why when we see a fabulously wealthy preacher today we can say that he/she is a Judas. However, usually the church treasurer is nicknamed "Judas"....but it's more of a term of affection than anything else.

So where Judas was a believer in the identity of Jesus....he really didn't subscribe to the same ideals that Jesus did. And that little difference is a great chasm of difference.
