Regarding the OP: Yes. I'm retired, but when I was working I took days off (which is what the Sabbath is). The Sabbath is a day of rest, something that was unknown in primitive societies that were based on agriculture (even though some necessary work had to be done).

Here are the two verses from Chapters 3 and 4.
Hebrews 3:18-19
And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? And so we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.
Hebrews 4:1-3
Therefore, we must fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also did; but the word they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united with those who listened with faith. For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said.
It is very easy to see when you put the verses together.
The subject is the good news, Jesus Christ.
Belief or unbelief in God's promise, Jesus Christ.
The rest is eternal life that God promised in Jesus Christ.
The sabbath rest is not the real issue being discussed here. The fulfillment of the sabbath rest was always the promise. As the fulfillment of all the law and the prophets as only Jesus could fulfill.
The subject of Hebrews is Jesus Christ, the Good News.
Hebrews is always talking about Jesus Christ, the promise, the Good News!
The sabbath is not the reason the letter to the Hebrews was written.
People perished in the wilderness because they grumbled against Moses and Aaron.
The avenging angel destroyed them for their complaining against Moses.
Ultimately, it was always unbelief in God's promise.

So do you think people are trying to wiggle their way out of the requirement of 7th day Sabbath-keeping because it doesn't easily fit into their schedules, a lifelong pattern of stiff-necked disobedience to it, or due to a poor foundation of Scriptural knowledge? I only recently came to understand the Sabbath and it has been a tremendous blessing in my relationship with God so I can't entirely fault people who haven't understood it yet.

You understand that when you place yourself under the law. Then you will be judged according to the letter of the law.
I cannot be judged according to the letter of the law because I am not under the law.
Romans 4:15
For the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation.
The law brings about wrath.
That is what the God has declared and you have been warned.
The law only grants the knowledge of sin, the law does not make you righteous.
Your going to end up with a massive knowledge of sin and be judged according to the letter of the law.
THE LAW BRINGS ABOUT WRATH.
Uh I never said Sabbath keeping is required for salvation; that’s up to God. There is such a thing as being least in the kingdom of heaven for rejecting the commandments and teaching others to do so, but there’s also such a thing as not entering the kingdom due to not being more righteous than the Pharisees.
Paul said in Romans 2:14-16 that God will judge based on the law, perhaps at least partially. Of course the other part of judgement is whether or not someone is a believer or not.
So I say, risk it if you so wish. I wash my hands clean of any responsibility for the souls who have rejected the plain truth.
You need to read a lot more than Romans 4. When you’re ready to get serious the rest of the Bible is there for you.
If you find it a blessing fine, but it's not a requirement and you can't put that on anyone. You've said a couple of times you only recently had your eyes opened. May I ask what it was that made you see the light?

No one observes the sabbath. No one has a priest sacrifice two lambs, nor do they offer the wheat nor do they offer the drink offering. No one enforces the sabbath with the death penalty, does your furnace kick on on a cold friday night? If so you just kindled a fire and are in violation. Do you cook dinner after sun doen on friday? If so you violated the sabbath. Do ya get in your car and drive? That means ya went further than a short walk, and you violated the sabbath. Do you leave your dishes from friday night to saturday night? if not you violated the sabbath.
I opened this thread in June last year genuinely curious with a moderate lean toward anti-Sabbath keeping. I kept an open mind, prayed, looked at the Bible again and now I believe it’s required. Glory to God of course.
It has been a big blessing by giving me a day set aside to being prayerful and grateful. Whereas before I didn’t really have any such time for that. It has also helped me cut out unnecessary distractions and prioritize a closer relationship with God and it’s spilling over into the other days of the week as well.
That isn’t what I said. I’ve told you this twice now. Did you know that aside from having faith you’re required to do something? The New Testament is filled with heaps of commandments.
Jesus said, if you even think the thought you have transgressed the law.

you cannot have it both ways.
if Sabbath keeping is not part of salvation, then it is not a requirement.
if is a requirement, then it is part of being saved.
gotta be one or the other. can't be both.
The Pharisees thought the same thing as you, fortunately Jesus corrected them. I recommend you read some books in the Bible called Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John for more details.
There are things that are required for salvation, there are things that are required to give God glory, there are things required to obey God, there are things required to be holy.
Seems all you want is the salvation. Is that all you’re in this for? I’m here for the relationship and life with God.
While I am grateful for salvation, self-preservation isn’t my driving force. I’m afraid you’ve missed the point of why God offered us a way out of death in the first place.

if you teach that something other than faith and trust in Christ is required for salvation, then you are not teaching Biblical truth.
