Yes, but the examples of faithfulness in the so called "Old Testament" are so powerful that not looking at them is a huge loss! That's the difference between speeches of words and speeches of living examples! The fantastic examples of faithfulness of the past will always be alive for those who keep thinking of them to lighten their lives! Faithfulness is something rare in our modern society! But that's what we are told in the Bible and that's what we see today! That's also why such examples are so precious!

Israel's becoming a nation, the mass regathering, the increase in prosperity and technology, the growth of agriculture, their growing world power status, the amazing discovery of nat gas, their feuds with Syria/Iran/Lebanon/(and Russia to a degree), etc etc all of this accurate highly detailed fulfilled prophecy seems to mean nothing to my non-believing friends that are well educated, open minded, logical folks. It is as if they inherited that reprobate mind God mentions at the end times. Discuss a different non-Biblical subject with these folks with this much evidence and they would readily accept the theme.

The impressive part is that such a 'tiny sun parched country' has reached such a high level of success, power and influence. As if God is mimicking his theme that the humble and meek and weak and sickly will inherit The Kingdom of God. Ever since 1948 superior forces(bullies) have fallen at Israel's door(s) with little effort, imagine the much larger future attacks on Israel failing. Interesting that the angel sent after Joshua died may have been incarnate Jesus.

Hopefully there will be some future awakening before the times of Jacob's troubles begin, Jeremiah 30:7.
