If you dont want kids, have lambs instead.
Simple. stop fornicating, and be parents the right way and your children will follow. I would never call a child a kid or treat them like a kid.

My daughter raised her KIDS?

so she has kids, not lambs...got it. Most parents talk about their KIDS ie. brats.

They dont have lambs because they are not christians. Simple.
Children are not Christian just because their parents are. My daughter knows what the Bible says but refuses to follow it. She will regret it.

"Parent the right way" includes discipline. As the parent sees fit. As a parent, I followed the instruction given in Proverbs. And reaffirmed in Hebrews, in case you want to use the, "That was OT" argument.

As for corporal punishment today . No way would some blue haired nut case put their hands on my great grand kids . Those kids are home schooled.
Just googled it and apparently it's only legal now in 19 States. It's legal in my state but they have to have consent from the parents.
Don't know for sure but I imagine it's like that and the other states too. To avoid lawsuits

That's interesting. They seek parental approval for corporal punishment, but not for abortion or sex change procedures.

I don't know for sure but I imagine a doctor also has to have parental consent before he can perform a medical procedure on a child

Not all abortionist are doctors. In CA they (the School) can take your daughter to planned parent hood for an abortion and you are not told. What the law says and reality are not always the same.

Just curious. Those that are against physical discipline....do you have children or are you working in a profession with children?

Who is administering the physical discipline makes a huge difference? Some liberal teacher smacking a kid for the wrong pronoun? A parent smacking the kid for playing in the street?

Schools can handle misbehavior through more in house counseling sessions, more communication with parents, remedying the issue (expelling the culprit) so other students are not bullied, taking away privileges like extracurricular activities and dances, etc. Detention should include some counseling.
These are already in schools but talk to any teacher, most will say its not working. If the government does not allow parents to physically discipline children then why not let the schools correct a problem quickly and effectively.

You are right. But they are encouraging the children to act without parental consent. That they are complicit is the problem.

I kind of feel like homeschooling would suck because you wouldn't be getting the social interaction my parents sent me to a Christian School for one year and I hated it so bad I begged them to go back to public school and they let me.
All the teachers were rude and hateful
WE did the same in Columbus, Ohio - And the kids all wanted out after one year. Al$o, it co$t a fortune!!!

I feel like interaction with other cultures it's part of what makes well-rounded adults.
Homeschooling and private school and creates a siloing effect

While that can happen it doesn't have to. Homeschooling itself offers opportunity to try unconventional methods that public schools cannot.
Your experience of homeschooling no doubt mimicked the traditional public school approach and so offered the negative aspects of public education without the parts you enjoyed. But many homeschoolers can learn at their own pace, engage in activities in association with other homeschooling families, and enjoy a much broader and extensive learning environment than is offered in public schools.
And, if I'm not mistaken, homeschoolers won the National Spelling Contest for a number of years.
I realize this wasn't your experience so your view is limited and negative. I'm not denigrating your view. Merely trying to inform it.

The other effect public school had was to make my kids wary of black folks. Columbus schools had "Salt and Pepper days", where the white kids found it expedient to stay home. My older son used to carry a weighted billy club to public school - in case.

And what are the regulations on homeschooling
What if they're teaching their kids then the Earth is flat and two plus two equals 57

You don't always have to assume the worst. I'm sure there are abuses. But typically homeschooling families have multiple children, are faith oriented, and place a high priority on the education of their children.
One added bonus: our routines were never altered when schools shut down. Even my children in college were better prepared because they were used to a learning environment from home.
