Did you see the miracle on the Hudson?

They put him on trial and it was based on the computer simulation. That simulation had real world implications, but the planes crashing into buildings did not kill anyone.
You are all over the place and making no sense here.
Yes I remember the Hudson thing. He landed the plane in the river and no one died
I don't want to straw man you so just for clarification are you saying a computer simulation said no one would die if a plane crashed into a building or are you claiming that no one died because planes crashed into buildings?
And lastly, are you claiming that someone being tried based on a computer simulation is evidence that real life is a simulation?

In the movie that described what happened behind the scenes the insurance company was upset because the plane was a big loss and they thought he could have landed at an airport and landing in the Hudson was just some publicity stunt. They did a computer simulation that showed he could have made it to the airport. But he argued that the simulation was unreal because the people doing the simulation had practiced the routine many times before getting it right and because as soon as the birds took out the engines they performed the maneuver without taking any time to evaluate the situation. When they gave the pilots 30 seconds to evaluate the situation before performing the maneuver they crashed. There were two different airports but in both cases they crashed and the crash was into residential housing and apartment complexes. So that simulation depicted hundreds of people being killed and maimed and yet, no one was really hurt.

Our life on this earth is like that compared to eternity. Still we can evaluate your performance and judge you based on how you perform in the simulation without you actually doing any real damage.

What I am claiming is that the Bible tells us that no real damage is being done, hence God will wipe every tear away, however, God is using what happens in this life to judge us for eternity. So the simulation is a real test with real consequences but you aren't really able to do any real damage.

The Lord said

Luke 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

The Lord is telling you all the riches of this life are not real.

Scientists use quantum computing to create glass that cuts the need for AC by a third

Quantum computing, machine learning, and contact lens polymers combined to dramatically reduce energy costs.

Two researchers at the University of Notre Dame in collaboration with South Korea's Kyung Hee University recently utilized quantum computing to help develop a new transparent window coating capable of blocking solar heat. In findings published in ACS Energy Levels, Tengfei Luo, Notre Dame's Dorini Family Professor of Energy Studies, and postdoctoral associate, Seongmin Kim, worked together to devise their transparent radiative cooler (TRC) layer, which only permits external visible light that doesn't raise indoor temperatures, thus cutting buildings' cooling costs by as much as a third of current rates. According to the International Energy Agency, air conditioning and electric fans comprise 20 percent of buildings' energy costs around the world—roughly 10 percent of human electricity consumption.
To determine the absolute best materials configuration, the team relied on machine learning and the promising field of quantum computing for a solution. Although in its relatively early phases of development, quantum computing offers immense potential due to its ability to far surpass traditional computing methods. Currently, even the most advanced of classical supercomputers rely on a binary state—representing information as 1's and 0's—to do all their calculations, meaning that there are limits to what they can and can't achieve. Quantum computing, in contrast, can represent information as either 1, 0, or even a combination of the two. This hypothetically gives scientists a massive advantage in numerous fields, such as natural science simulations and nuclear fusion research.

In order for Luo and Kim's TRC design to work properly, incredibly thin layers of materials needed to be compiled in an exact way to ensure optimal heat reduction. In this case, machine learning and quantum computing teamed up to test models within fractions of a second, parsing through virtually ever possible mixture and material combination to find the best one.
The result is a 1.2 micron-thick layering of silica, alumina, and titanium oxide upon a glass base that is then coated with the same polymer used in contact lenses. The new combination subsequently outperformed ever other heat-reduction glass coating currently available. "I think the quantum computing strategy is as important as the material itself," Luo said in a press release from the University of Notre Dame yesterday. "Using this approach, we were able to find the best-in-class material, design a radiative cooler and experimentally prove its cooling effect."
As advancements progress, these kinds of transparent heat-reducing layers can be increasingly applied to windows and glass structures in order to help dramatically lower energy emissions as the world races to stave off climate change's worst potential futures.

(Sodom) Husain Obama and Al Gore told Africans to save the planet by elimination of air conditioning and reducing transportation. Biten had another idea. Buy expensive oil from other countries like Venezuela. Spend a bunch of tax money to ship it here, while closing existing pipelines and capping US wells. What is the lesson here?

Office of Management & Budget numbers may be where directives originate? Claims I saw in recent yrs Dakota oil break even point at least $100/brl. If so maybe cheaper to buy foreign. Can't prove any of this but that is possible. Canadian tar sands supposedly takes lot of energy to extract & clean too. Canada needs nuke plant just to extract oil possibly.

I've been seeing videos on YouTube in which people use AI to generate images based on the song lyrics
The Metallica song Master of puppets which is about the dangers of drug addiction has a lyric that says "chop your breakfast on a mirror" of course is a metaphor for using cocaine
The AI took it literal and produced an actual image of a boiled egg on a mirror
So it seems we still have a long way to go with AI

The USA has scrubbers on cheap coal burning plants , while China and India do not. Which are shutting down and not allowed to be built? USA clean power plants. Bitten begged for the import of oil from Venezuela and the middle east. All that's necessary really is for some guys to get the go ahead to turn open valves in the US for cheap fuel. If Canada needs some, they have a bunch of oil refineries with cheaper gas across their southern border to trade with.

I've speculated about what John saw in his vision, as documented in Revelation 13:15:

15The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed

The image referenced above is sometimes translated as statue in some versions/translations. Well, John could have been attempting to describe something on a television screen or a robot.

Seems like the objective of this image of the first beast is to cause all to worship the image of the first beast. That sounds a lot like propaganda to me.

Also notice something, those who refused to worship the image are to be killed. How would they actually know who isn't worshipping the image? Maybe that's where the mark on the forehead or right hand comes into play? Perhaps required to worship the image X hours per day and the mark on the right hand or forehead is a bit like a login token, something to scan and check-in to the system every day?

Energy sources and production and who controls is complex. Government derives lots of revenue from this. My speculation is possibly way off, but news reports have some accurate numbers, maybe. All the debt passes down to grandchildren. If Jesus doesn't return in 40 years, they'll get on this thread and argue.

But if an AI isn't doing what you want it to do can't you just pull the plug?

I'd just be happy if they just made a user friendly, bullet resistant window film that didn't cost a fortune. If you have ever been shot at, you'd agree. It doesn't matter if a computer came up with something faster than someone else if the greedy companies and manufacturers keep the price point out of your reach.

I'm with you that technology is usually neither good nor evil. I started this thread to not really look at that as a point of debate, but rather what big tech has already done and planned for the devil's uses against humanity.
Would you agree that the most powerful tech is out of reach for the average person and available only to those gts and subsidized corporations who use stollen from the people?

The greatest portion is just as you say in my opinion. But, serendipity is still a factor for people that think about innovations. And my sense is...................
Ezekiel 20:26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.(((((((...and

Jeremiah 16:18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things. 19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

...................These verse might be talking about the way God sees our technology. Nothing in Creation at first was detrimental until getting booted from the Garden. All downhill from then on. Jesus gonna put every one back to gardening and cleaning up this mess.

Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

I would say people experiencing war and terrorism qualify as Ezekiels 'pass through the fire'. Probably not many agree.

I agree that the weapons will have no purpose when Jesus destroys the armies if Satan. The scrap metal uses would be farming tools at that time when He is the Prince of Peace to all the new world. I often wondered if technology would advance from that point on. I can't find that answer in Scripture, so I will be quite content if we live as our ancestors did for thousands of years, but at peace. The old world Mennonites live comfortably from what I can see.

I read the chapter and The passage of Ezekiel you quoted. When I look at the rest of it, I believe that God is addressing the sacrifices of babies and children that their own people did when they reverted to the heathens' religions.

"Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you."

In addition, they would offer their living children to devils. Like the Alex Jones video depicted at the Bohemian Grove ceremony, they would throw them into the ovens that were fashioned in the image of those false deities. You probably saw that didn't you? I discussed that on another thread, I think it was shortly after you joined.
