I've been meaning to ask, what is a hillbilly doctrine and what makes it a hillbilly doctrine?
i was raised in the Southern Baptist Doctrines of OSAS and GRACE.
ironically, while preaching this BALONEY, 2/3 of the Church Members including DEACONS and Pastors were also high ranking members of the Klu Klux Klan.

that's as Hillbilly as it gets and makes their version of interpretation of God's Holy Word a Hillbilly Doctrine!

just to add:

in the town i grew up in they caught a black man after sundown [look up sun down towns]...
Sundown town
Description
Sundown towns, also known as sunset towns, gray towns, or sundowner towns, are all-white municipalities or neighborhoods in the United States that practice a form of racial segregation by excluding non-whites via some combination of discriminatory local laws, intimidation or violence.

members of that Church [who were Police] took this man handcuffed his wrists and ankles to ball hitches on 4 pickup trucks and drove away parting him into 4 pieces.

that ain't God and their beliefs are pure EVIL!

So when you say hillbilly doctrines you mean doctrine taught by Southern Baptists who are in the Klan and teach OSAS?

that's clearly what the Jews thought and tried to stone Him for it.

30 I and the Father are one.”
31 Again the Judean leaders picked up stones to stone Him.
32 Yeshua answered them, “I’ve shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these are you going to stone Me?”
33 The Judean leaders answered, “We aren’t stoning you for a good work, but for blasphemy. Though You are a man, You make Yourself God!”
elaborate thank you

Southern Baptist roots are exactly what I described. Most Churches who are Southern Baptist once and some still are what I described. Most in the South were segregated until the 1980's.

But what they preached then is still being preached today like it's 100% Biblical Gospel.

OSAS and hanging people still thinking God is rewarding them Eternal Salvation.

The Gospel of GRACE where you can murder people of different color and God is going to overlook it because you are Saved.

I'm Sorry but it doesn't add up at all.

The Ancient Jews live by the SHEMA.

Ironically, the English Language claims the word for God is the compound but ask any Jew and they will tell you the English interpretation is nowhere close to reality.

So knowing how the Jews in Jesus' day would think [Mark Chapter 12 is a good indicator] when Jesus said He and the Father are ONE they more than likely thought Jesus was making the claim He was the Father.

Look at 4 Chapters later when Jesus said you see Me you see the Father and vice versa and that the Father dwelled inside Jesus doing the Works.

Logically, that is probably what the Jews were thinking Jesus meant and clearly why they picked up stones and were going to kill Him.

NO TRINITY AND UPTO NOW NO ONE HAS CONVINCED ME
Of course. God is a Trinity. Jesus Christ commanded His Disciples to be Baptized "In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". He does not say names, but Name, thus showing that the Three Persons are Equal and One God.

Have you been Baptized in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, as Our Lord Jesus Christ commanded?

"7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these Three are One." (1 Jn 5:7, NKJV)

Three what? Three Persons. As Jesus Christ (the Word) is a Person, so the Father and the Holy Spirit are Persons.

One what? One God. As the Father is God, so His Word (Jesus) and His Spirit (the Holy Ghost) are One God with Him.

Hence, St. John the Apostle, like Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, teaches that the Three Persons are One Lord God.

God Bless.

John 5:18
For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

John 5:23
So that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Philippians 2:6
Although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be held on to.

Colossians 1:16
For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things have been created through Him and for Him.

Since everything exists for and through Jesus, then it's only logical.

That Jesus is YHWH, the God of the Old Testament.

No wonder when He came to visit His friends, they turned on Him and crucified Him.

The Holy Spirit points us to Jesus.
The blood is the sacrificial blood of the Christ for the forgiveness of sin.
The water, baptism more than likely.

There are two witnesses referred to in the book of Revelation not three.

Revelation 11:3
And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.

So who are the two witnesses?

so the blood and water are the two witnesses who will prophesy in sackcloth for 1260 days....the blood and water has been testifying for 2000 years....read that verse clearly....these are prophets sent by God...this are not blood and water....besides, it says the two witnesses will be killed and risen up to heaven...blood and water seriously blood and water in John 5:8 is not the twoo revelations witness...

And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also [c]our Lord was crucified....so their dead bodies will lie after their prophecies...the two witnesses in revelation 11 are not the witnesses in 1st John ...read the scripture again friend...be blessed

The Three Witnesses in Heaven are the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. And these Three are One means God is a Trinity.

The Three Witnesses on Earth are the Water, the Spirit and the Blood. The Early Church understood that as a reference to Baptism, and I agree. It is the Water of Baptism, the Spirit of Sanctification, and the Blood of Redemption that is spoken of. These three operate together in Baptism, which itself is done in the Name of the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Can you please clarify, Franc, what you believe? Do you deny that Jesus is God? Or do you claim the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are One Person only?

That the Person of the Holy Spirit was explicitly named in Baptism is seen in Acts 19:7. Paul meets certain believers who, surprisingly, had not heard of the Holy Spirit. Immediately he asks, "into what then were you baptized"? Hence, it is clear that the Apostles Baptized into the "Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Spirit". This is summarized as the "Name of the Lord Jesus" because (1) Jesus is God and also to distinguish (2) Christ's Baptism from that of John the Baptist etc.

"1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 7And all the men were about twelve." (Acts 19:1-7)

God Bless.

Let me clarify....JESUS IS GOD and that will never change however what im saying is that a trinity is contrary to the teachings of the Lord....the first mistake youve done is using the 1st Joghn 5:7 to justify the trinity which is actually wrong

the three witnesses are the Father the Word (not the son) and the Holy Spirit ..no where in that chapter are three are called persons in that verse says there are three that bear witness no persons named what the bible actually says is that the witnesses in heaven and on earth are God's testimony about the son....So if the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit are persons in the Godhead then the trinity is false because look its says God is testifying about the Son and according to the Trinitarians the persons of the trinity are the Father the son and the holy spirit but this verse is the Word and the three in this verse are testifying about the son...if the three are God...then the son is not part of that trinity because the three who are one are testifying about hi ...lets read 1st John 5

This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear witness [b]in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of [c]God which He has testified of His Son. 10 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has [d]life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Shh! Stop shouting. It’s Sunday morning. People are tryin to sleep!

Here are all 3 members of the Trinity at the same moment, as separate Beings.

If that’s not enough “proof”, then I can’t help ya:

Matthew 3:16-17
New King James Version

16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

ironically, John 14 tells us from the mouth of Jesus the Father dwelled inside Him doing the talking and miracles. we also know from Matthew 12 the Holy Spirit lived inside Jesus when he told the Pharisees He cast demons out by the Holy Spirit and then explained they were committing Blaspheming.

so if the Holy Spirit and Father were already inside Jesus, why does the Baptism Scene in Verse 16-17 turn into this supposed clue?

logically, from Matthew 12 and John 14 and the Scene of one person of God in 1 Kings and 2 Chronicles [[when the entire host of Heaven is present around His throne]] the Father was on His throne in Heaven while inside Jesus on earth. i believe God is triune, but those in the trinity have no real idea how to explain. just like your example proves NOTHING when we already know the Father and Spirit were inside Jesus from word GO!

hehe fine i had just lit the bat signal i knew that would wake the batman...okay jokes aside....

The word of God in the book of Phillipians 2:5-8

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!

So from the beginning Jesus Christ nature has been that of God....that is his true nature as the Father but to save us he had to humble himself to become the servant ....so the moment Christ became man, he had to become a servant ....and follow everything that servants of God went through, he prayed,he ate, he wept something the son of God had to go through because he was a man...but from the word go....Jesus already knows who he is and thats why Jesus said concerning the voice from heaven ....this is what he says

John 12:28-30
Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29 The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

30 Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit, not mine.....

but the bible also says this John 14:
If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. ....

Peter tells us what happened whenever the voice speaks....

2nd peter 1:16-18 He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.....the voice from the majestic glory but Jesus already had God living in him notice peter doesnt say his voice....which makes me wonder is that the same voice from the throne in revelation 21
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God...who was saying this?.....

so the voice is not proof of the trinity and btw hebrews 10:5
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:

“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;
.....

why is he being given a body...because Christ couldnt com in his true form as the father ....Deutronomy 18:14-16

"The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the Lord your God has not permitted you to do so. 15 The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. 16 For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.” so Jesus couldnt come as the father when he spoke in Horeb people said no we will die and he had not come down....so Christ had to humble himself when he came as a servant of God...meaning he had to be subservient and become like the son....the word has been there from the beginning ...however,sonship has its beginnings and it will also have its humbling but Jesus still remains even after the son has been humbled...Haleluyah

it's very simple- " I will pray the Father and He will give you another comforter ..."

Jesus ( 1) prayed to the Father ( 2) and He will send another comforter ( the Holy Sprit) ( 3)

so, there is the Trinity.
