I appreciate it when people have diverse views... it expends my thinking in certain ways.
But I'm very curious when my thinking is so very different than another's, that I want to explore more.

Are you suggesting that 100% of the people that have navigated the airspace and waterways around
the Arctic & Antarctic are all deceiving us?

With so many private and commercial entities out there whaling, fishing, exploring, and whatever... it just
seems inconceivable to me that no FE proponents have come back from those areas with hard evidence
that clearly shows the edges/walls of this world.
As I said, 90% of these people are deceived, like 90% of those involved with the moon landing hoax. There are quite a few pilots, sailors, military etc. who, from their experience, now believe the Earth to be flat.

The early explorers in Antarctica reported it to take a long time to circumnavigate (because it's on the edge and large, not the bottom and small), and never reported the 24 daylight that the Arctic is famous for in Summer.

Why else would there be an international treaty to prevent people exploring Antarctica? Perhaps because when people did, they would easily be able to refute the beliefs of the globalists.

This FE foolishness will eat itself.

According to some flat Earthers, the Flat Earth Society is a government-controlled organization whose true purpose is to make ridiculous claims about flat Earth and therefore discredit the flat Earth movement.

As if they needed any help

Have you visited the Flat Earth Society website? It mixes truth with lies. They declare there is no gravity, then try to explain that the Earth is constantly accelerating upward. Lol. It's definitely a shill site. And as you should know, shills exist to discredit the truth.

The "evil bunch" leaves nothing to chance.

They want to discourage anyone who may be "on the fence"...

I once breathed helium. I got a large plastic trash bag and filled the bag with helium. I placed the bag over my dead down to my shoulders.
When I tried to speak, I made a high-toned squeaking sound. Two (2) minutes later I was dead.
I promise you; I will never do that again.
:)-
well I guess not if you were dead...:cautious::unsure::whistle:

nice to meet your ghost then

You are so right!

The 2nd Book of Anti-Gravity Chaper 5 clearly states that an interest in alchemy is the unpardonable sin.
And scientists are unforgivable.

What??? Selling brains? I thought you believed that God was the creator.
Have you taken your medication today.

Chapter 6 is problematic as well. Explains why people don't drift off into space if they venture beyond the edge of the flat earth. You have to be wearing your anti-gravity boots though.

Boots?!
I thought it was a helmet that kept gravity away from one's mind...?
No understanding of Gravity can reach the brain, see?

Oh, I'm so confused.

It has been documented that wearing a tin foil pointed hat will negate the gravitational waves by directing it away from the wearer. Or is that radio waves? Microwaves? I might be a bit confused as well.

Tin foil hats are good for storing leftovers in a pinch as well. I love multipurpose products.

Ad hominem.

Only in heliocentric theory are the "stars vastly further away" than the sun. In ball-Earth theory, they are usually relatively close, like the sun.

Have you heard of X-rays? Also just another frequency on the electromagnetic spectrum. Happens to travel through flesh and all sorts of other objects, unlike visible light. The frequency/wavelength determines its properties. Radio waves travel further than light waves, for the same reason, which is why I asked the question.

I see you keep posting that opinion "radar definitely is evidence that the Earth is a globe". Post some numbers to prove it (as these will be easy for me/us to refute and demonstrate that they better support Flat Earth theory). I'm wagering you don't have the numbers, because this is just your belief that you are selling as a fact.
Typical marine radars have power levels between 2-4 kilowatts, about double the typical microwave oven. The distance that the radar can "see" varies depending on the power, weather (rain interferes with radar as the sensor on my car informs me from time to time), and the height of the radar antenna relative to the earth's surface. For navigational radar, the power becomes irrelevant because the beam simply cannot follow the curvature of the earth. For long range, low frequency radar, a ground wave is generated that follows the curvature of the earth. Power may be in the megawatt range.

Why different frequencies? It's all about resolution. Low frequencies can only give approximate locations. For example, stealth aircraft can be detected by some radars. However, the resolution is insufficient to get a missile lock. Stealth designs are specifically chosen to deflect and absorb high frequency, fire control radars.

Like I said, do the experiment yourself. Then tell me why the evidence of your own eyes is insufficient.

Also, most of the world believes Roman Catholicism is christianity and the Pope is the vicar of Christ.

There is no such thing as "the law of gravity".

There is only a proposed 'theory of gravity'

"no lie is of the truth" = 1 John 2:21

BTW - Globe shaped planet spinning thru space is part of a 'global deception' thru the 'god of this world' which began thousands of years ago.

PLEASE refrain from adding to my words as that does not please our Lord Jesus Christ = "no lie is of the truth" = 1 John 2:21

The fact that you have accepted gravity is a 'law' already demonstrates the level of deception upon the world.

Question: How does a balloon filled with helium resist the gravitational field?
Try jumping off a cliff without a parachute. You will find that the theory of gravity works just fine.

Won't work. I tried to get him to jump out of a tree and he wouldn't. Don't think he will get anywhere near a cliff. Maybe we should have started lower or offered a net.

Maybe you missed this one, as there is a lot of noise in the thread. Basically, radar disproves ball-Earth. Radar would not be able to travel over the great distances it can, if Earth were a ball. As you rightly point out, the curvature of the Earth would prevent radar from working over relatively short distances (irrespective of power, because radar travels in straight lines). That radar works at distances greater than where the horizon would be - if Earth were a ball - proves that Earth is not a ball. Repost below:

I did some quick research, else this is ever going to be a stalemate.

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-range-of-an-average-marine-radar-on-US-Navy-ships?share=1

It sounds like a typical, off-the-shelf military radar has a range of about 25 nautical miles (although some have much further range). I believe 25 nautical miles translates to 46.3 km.

Presuming the radar is mounted 10 m above the water (I think this is conservative, as lots of boats would be shorter), and the boat it is detecting is 10 m above the water, the maximum distance the radar could detect this boat on a ball-Earth is 24.79 km.

Just enter the heights of the observer and object in the calculation page attached.

https://rechneronline.de/sehwinkel/distance-horizon.php

So, ball-Earth theory predicts a maximum radar range for this scenario of 24.79 km, due to curvature of Earth, but a standard radar (probably mounted much lower) can detect up to 46.3 km. Bear also in mind even more powerful radars can purportedly achieve better range, trashing ball-Earth theory even further.

As I indicated previously and suspected it would be, marine radar is a proof/verification of the Flat-Earth we observe, and a refutation of Ball-Earth theory.
