I haven't voted in decades. I refuse to vote for politicians who I think are going to hell.

You shall know them by their fruit. We are to judge between right and wrong, good and evil

I won't agree that all politicians are equally bad or anything, nor that many of them will not see Heaven. Judgment will go in large measure on how one fought against Abortionist-Killing with all one's strength, one of the Greatest Evils in the world today, that has led to the killing of some 60 million innocent children in America alone (worse than the Holocaust, or the Stalinist Genocides in the Communist Soviet Union) and some 2 Billion Worldwide. Good Pro-Life Christians who fight against it with all their strength, including Pro-Life Politicians who vote against it, will be richly rewarded by God for doing so, in this life and the next. And the bad pro-abort liberal "Christians" who support it will face divine Judgment for doing so.

While Christians are called to judge we are cautioned in how we do so. For we ourselves will be judged in the same way we judge.
We are cautioned because we can see actions but we cannot look upon the heart. So our judgments should be done with care and only functionally. Eternal judgments are left to God because He alone is qualified to judge the souls of men.

I apologize. My comments weren't directed towards you. I was trying to make a general comment directed at no one in particular.

Hi Cameron. Ok sure, no offense taken. And I agree with your general point that we cannot judge the subjective state of anyone's heart, which is known to God alone. We can, however, and should imo judge that certain actions are objectively evil, and oppose those evil actions, such as abortionist killing and pro-abort behavior etc.

God Bless.

Take just the 3 Pro-Life Christian Supreme Court Justices appointed by President Trump. Virtually every single Democrat opposed their Confirmation, and many explicitly gave Abortion as the Reason. Most Republicans supported them.

So those careless Christians who say there is no difference between Dems and Repubs and therefore one should be indifferent to voting etc are simply misguided and totally mistaken in my opinion. The facts don't bear them out at all.

Not that the Republicans are perfect or anything. They are like 90% good out of 100, whereas the Dems are -90%, i.e. 90% bad. If only all Conservative Catholic and Evangelical Christians stood together, Legal Abortion would end in no time.

I stand by what I said. If any politician votes supporting abortion, he or she will be called to give an account for it when he or she stands before the Throne of God before Divine Judgment. If the Lord said even a careless word calls for Judgment, and that causing a little one to stumble means one is better off jumping into the sea with a milestone tied around one's neck than facing God's Judgment, what, I wonder, will be the fate of those who promote abortion and never repent? Not good, for sure. The sad reality in Christendom today is even fairly conservative Christians are quite liberal here. If one's own children were at stake, say being kidnapped or held by murderers, think with what tireless zeal we would pray and fight and work to deliver and rescue them at all costs. Yet, some Christians are indifferent to this issue.

The Lord's Word: "Whatever you did to the least of these, you did unto Me" also applies here. Those who kill children in the womb are like those who killed or wanted to kill Jesus Christ, the greatest of crimes. Herod tried to, and Judas finally did it.

In Christ,
Xavier.

I agree. And I also it is the failure of Christians to take such stands that allows many atrocities. You know the old saying...the only thing necessary for evil men to thrive is for good men to do nothing...

Take a good look at your favorite politician. You may only see them this side of heaven.
How do you successfully lie to 300 million people?
Joe Biden is a pathological liar. That’s easy to prove. Just about every public statement that he’s made is an outright lie. His claims about his law school career and standing were false. He claimed to have marched during the civil rights movement — a lie. He’s lied repeatedly, boldly about Hunter’s corrupt business dealings, and his intimate relationship to them. He’s spent 47 years stacking lie upon lie, building a colossal monument to his depravity and to the public’s gullibility.

Biden lied about COVID, the efficacy of the “vaccine,” the necessity of lockdowns, and the utility of masks. He’s lying about the border crisis, and how it will deform our Republic. He and his administration are lying about inflation — a trip to the grocery store or gas pump will prove that lie. He and his stooges continue to lie about January 6th, in particular about three police officers who were killed that day — a tragedy that never actually occurred.

Recently, he lied about how his son Beau died, claiming he was killed in Iraq when, in fact, he died of brain cancer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2009. You may be tempted to give Biden a pass on that bizarre statement, but Biden is speaking out of the dark and twisted lair that is his soul — a lifetime of lies is now manifesting itself through his dementia. Biden lies as a matter of course. We all know it, and far too many of us ignore it.

One of my favorite lines from NYT best selling author Andy Andrews is, have you ever noticed when you lie to them [politicians] it’s a crime, but when they lie to us it’s just politics? You can find this profound statement in Andy’s book, How Do You Kill 11 Million People? It’s an obvious statement, but have you really thought about it? Isn’t it patently totalitarian to prosecute citizens for an immoral act politicians commit practically as often as they breathe? Why don’t we modify Andy’s question and ask:

The consequence of allowing our politicians to lie to us is dire. Most of the time, it seems innocuous. We sometimes tell what we like to call “little white lies” in an effort to spare someone’s feelings or to just get along. But lies, even the small ones, corrupt. It’s like saltwater dripping on a bar of iron, causing oxidation, a loosening of molecular bonds — a process invisible to the eye but insidious, relentless, and resulting in the destruction of what was once whole and strong.

Lies act as a corrosive to societal relationships from the most basic between a husband and wife, to the civil society at large. Should you choose to consult God on the matter, He takes a rather dim view of the lie:

“These six things doth the LORD hate:…A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” — Proverbs 6: 16, 19

For a generation indoctrinated to believe that God is just love, it may be jarring to learn that He does hate. God is love, but He is also holy. In fact, one cannot exist without the other and truth is the soil from which love draws its vitality, it “rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth.” — I Corinthians 13:6

This has been obvious to the best minds as well, “The truth of things is the chief nutriment of superior intellects.” — Leonardo da Vinci

Joe Biden, and people like him are, at their core, very small people. They are the progeny of history’s dull demagogues who sought to enslave people throughout all time. Their chief weapon is the lie, since their minds are impotent to compete successfully in the robust marketplace of ideas. They are the slovenly, backward, and despicable spawn of their infernal father whom God hates and who superior minds deplore. Why would a sane people grant such people access to the levers of state power?

As a famous and successful liar once said, “How fortunate for leaders that men do not think. Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually people will believe it.” It’s as easy as calling a piece of legislation the “Inflation Reduction Act.” This piece of legislation, demonstrably, will not positively impact inflation as promised. It will make it worse by channeling vast amounts of newly created money into pork barrel troughs. Liars love to play semantic games. Using the title “Inflation Reduction Act” is a big lie, it’s simple, and politicians have been regurgitating it ceaselessly. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, it’s as if they’ve taken a page out of Hitler’s playbook and used his quote above as their strategy.

How do you successfully lie to 300 million people? Make the lie big, make it simple, and keep repeating it.

So how does it affect you if your representatives are dishonest? Practically speaking, it results in less money in your wallet when law makers create an immoral tax code beyond the comprehension of any individual. It also creates an environment which results in the adoption of an unethical money system — the creation of fiat currency, easily manipulated and resulting in cycles of inflation, eroding your ability to afford even the essentials. Lying politicians also create suffering as we all witnessed during the COVID pandemic.

Ultimately, allowing our political leaders to lie leads to atrocity — millions of Jews can attest to the horror of that reality.

The corruption in American politics can be addressed and reversed. As part of Andy Andrews’ new Life Skills Project, you can participate directly in the solution. I’ve partnered with Andy in presenting a three week interactive Zoom seminar, during which truth is understood, discussed, and practically applied to effect change in our lives, communities, and nation. Join us here and discover what we can do in November and beyond.

I haven't voted in decades. I refuse to vote for politicians who I think are going to hell.
And yet you recently started a thread where you were upset with folks here whom you assumed voting for people
who cut benefits to the needy and NOT voting for others whom you liked? Seems odd for you to not vote yet insist
that others vote according to your discernment...

Politician Dies And Has To Choose between Heaven Or Hell.

While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

'Welcome to heaven,' says St. Peter. 'Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you.'

'No problem, just let me in,' says the man.

'Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.'

'Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,' says the senator.

'I'm sorry, but we have our rules.'

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises... The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

'Now it's time to visit heaven.'

So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St Peter returns.

'Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.'

The senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: 'Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.'

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now the doors of the elevator open and this time all he see's is fire and brimstone and all his friends are in torment.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.

'I don't understand,' stammers the senator. 'Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?'

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday I was campaigning.....but today you voted."

The fight you see and speak of is not a fight between men but of angels and demons. Principalities, rulers of darkness.
It can only be won by the righteous.
