Those from the Middle East identify themselves by their family name, usually. Its the same in Hebrew culture, Jesus identified as from Judah, or Judeaen from Josephs side, and he was born in Bethelehem.
Usually called House of David. Since thats the royal lineage.
They didnt identify themselves by having different colours for each tribe or house, the way some people do in. the US. Which is a weird (or lets be honest, stupid )way of categorising peeps.

It's the diaspora in USA. Generally people living in MENA just self-identify as Arab, with their nationality or with their ethnicity (Jewish, Kurdish, Assyrian etc).

I think it means he went full on Popeye with the topic.
The topic reminded me of an interview that a TV broadcaster did with the pastor. The news guy tried to make the preacher look like a racist for not supporting Obama's policies and for exposing him. The news guy tried to paint him as a racist. It was like, " You just don't like him because he's black!"
And the preacher said, "we have an integrated church with people of every nationality and I say Obama's white. Look at his mom. I can say he's white as much as you can he's black."
I just couldn't find the clip, but came across the sermon the newsman didn't like, that got the preacher on the news. I liked it.

From that region def light skinned. Even though the topic is not about Jesus, I grew up with pics depicting a white Jesus. Didnt really think about it til about a few years ago when I watched a video debating his skin colour. What Im wondering is more why do some Americans call themselves black when its a colour? They used to say African American and now some have taken off the African part and just say American which does sound better but then Im not from there so Im just gonna identify you by your name
Then I suppose for those who are guests in our nation, the hospitable thing to do would be to allow them to identify themselves how they wish to (within reason). Most people don't ask you what race you are, they ask where or what country you're from. Culture and national origin are far more predictive of a person's behavior and mindset than the broader category of race.

Long grey head of hair and the lady turns around and might be 19. Hey! It's in style!
Her grandma is probably dying her hair like her daughter's color.
In the meantime, the Hispanic lady is staying out of the sun, while the light skinned blondes have membership at the tanning salons. The other day a lady looked like she had great grandparents from Jamaica, but straight blonde hair.
