if a person falls away and never returns, that person CHOSE to walk away.
True.

God is not going to FORCE that person to have Eternal Security when they don't want it.
It seems you don't understand what you are saying. It seems you think a person can give away God's gift of eternal life.

So, where do you find that in the Bible? Please quote any verse that supports your claim.

STOP ACTING LIKE WE ARE ROBOTS!!!
 You think I'm a Calvinist?? That's a good one. Now, back to reality, the serious stuff.

If you can't quote a verse that clearly shows that a believer can give away their gift of eternal life, you need to rethink your claims.

It seems you didn't even bother reading John 5:24 and 10:28. Why didn't you? Those 2 verses prove beyond any doubt that once given eternal life (get saved) the recipient shall never perish.

And rather than address those 2 clear verses, you claimed something else that can't be found in the Bible.

My post you seem so upset about was meant to be facetious.
What you meant is that if one believes something false to be true, it is true for him. And no amount of argument will change that.

Those that believe they can lose their salvation CAN lose it.
Eternal salvation (deliverance) comes only for those that God gave to his Son, who was a sacrifice for their sins, offered to God, for God's acceptance, and not to mankind, for mankind's acceptance The sacrifice of Christ gave them the security of their eternal inheritance (John 6:39).

Sometime between their natural life into this world, as an unregenerate infant, until their natural death, God will quicken them to a new spiritual life.

Salvation = a deliverance, saved = delivered, save = deliver.

Once an unregenerate person has been quickened to the new spiritual life (Eph 2:1-5), they will never lose it. They can, however, lose their fellowship with God, not their eternal inheritance, when they commit a sin, until they repent, God saves (delivers) them from the consequences of that sin. when they repent. Their eternal inheritance is never in jeopardy, because, as far as their eternal security is concerned, Jesus took care of that on the cross.

This is an oft-debated question in Christian circles, but I'd like to bring up a particular situation. Rather than the case of losing salvation through a certain sin or sins, what about when a once-believer loses belief in God/ Jesus - as in - eg - Matt Dillahunty, who was devout Christian and later became an atheist?
That sounds like a misnomer! One who was THOUGHT to be a 'devout Christian' may not have been, but only one who pretended. If one is truly "born again" as John 3:16, etc. they are "sealed" by the Spirit of God as a "child of God" forever (though they may be a "carnal" believer as God speaks about, and live more for the world). They are usually discovered along the way. I would say he was ALWAYS an 'atheist'.

If you still persist in your sinful ways the devil is your father. If you accept Yeshua as your Lord and Savior, your conduct should reflect his character

Why should I believe what you believe? Where does the Bible say that anyone can give away their eternal life?

All you have as a myth. Show me the verse!

You did nothing to receive the gift. You can do nothing to lose the gift.

john 5:24 and 10:28 prove that all who receive the gift shall never perish.

I believe the Bible. Not your myths.

Should is a Very Key Word In God's Truth, Correct? ie:

"For we Are HIS Workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. " (Eph 2:10)

When some Do Not DO as they should, their actions/behaviour does not
Nullify
The Truth of Eph 2:8-9, Correct? Nor These 12 Dozen Passages?:

God's OPERATION On all HIS New-born babes In Christ
God's Eternal Assurance

+
On Judgment Day! = The "saved" Not doing what they should:

"If any man's work shall be burned, he Shall Suffer LOSS:
but he himself Shall Be Saved; yet so as by fire. " (1Co 3:15), Correct?

You don't have a Verse that says what you believe if someone becomes a Satanist they are still saved.

Paul said if they remain!

Becoming a Satanist is not remaining.

Why would I need a verse specifying anything?

Why don't you believe what Jesus said about who possesses eternal life ans WHEN they do? Jn 5:24
The, why don't you believe what Jesus said about recipients of eternal life? Jn 10:28

With clear verses such as these, it should be obvious that there is NO activity than can remove one's salvation.

Paul said if they remain!

Becoming a Satanist is not remaining.
OK, what is the context. What IF "they remain"? Does the verse say the person who remains will remain saved? Of course it doesn't

Again, you do not have verses that SAY that salvation can be lost.

otoh, I have shown you verses that SAY that recipients of eternal life shall never perish.

Now, can you admit that if a person believed in Christ, then some time later on, for whatever reason, left the faith for whatever else, that recipient of eternal life shall never perish?

btw, I'm not advocating for anyone leaving the faith. They will pay a dear price, though it won't include loss of salvation.

What will be lost is God's blessings, God's protection, fellowship with God, and rewards in eternity.

Oh, and what it WILL GAIN is God's hand of discipline, which will be painful. Heb 12:11.

Too many Arminians opine that if salvation is secure, believers will "get away" with sin.

Disbelief disqualifies belief.

Huh? Where did I mention a verse about "as long as they believe"? I don't even believe that.

One's salvation is NOT dependent upon "as long as" anything.

Disbelief disqualifies belief.
Your opinion doesn't change Scripture.

If you have a verse that SAYS what you just said, please share. Otherwise, I'm not interested in your opinions.

As to my "only having a verse..." is a bogus claim. I've given you the verse that SAYS that believers possess eternal life, in Jn 5:24, and the verse that SAYS that recipients of eternal life shall never perish, in Jn 10:28.

If there were a verse that clearly says that the possession of eternal life can be lost, then Jn 10:28 is a complete LIE and FRAUD.

What Jesus taught is real clear: once given eternal life, the recipient shall never perish.

And John 5:24 tells us EXACTLY when a person receives eternal life; WHEN they believe.

So, from the moment of saving faith, the person shall never perish.
