If you don't believe this then (a) you do not believe the Bible, (b) you do not believe God, and (c) you do not believe Christ. THERE IS NO "THIRD COMING".
You are simply repeating what you have heard, but have you ever researched this topic and studied how God revealed Himself in the OT or did God change in the new? But if I'm wrong, prove it with chapter and verse.

The widespread belief of the “Second Coming” of the Lord is probably taught and believed in over 90% of the church. All dispensationalists believe in the second coming as their “hope” is always in the future, never thinking of abiding in the present moment in Christ.

If we are going to believe in the “coming of the Lord”, I suggest that we call it the “THIRD COMING”, not the “Second Coming”

Before I state my case, let’s read the following verse that clearly speaking about the “Second Coming”:

Hebrews 9:28 (NASB95) “So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.”

  • In context, the writer of the Hebrews was writing to Hebrew believers of the 1st century who were being tempted to go back to the Law and hope for the best because the life they were living was too hard due to the cruelty of the unconverted Jews who persecuted them and accused them of being heretics.
  • In view of the context of these scriptures, the writer of Hebrews was referring to the soon SECOND COMING which was expected to come when Jerusalem was judged for its many sins (Mat. 23:34-38; 1Thes. 2:14-16), and the destruction of the Jewish temple that took place in AD 70.
  • Since the first coming took place in the incarnation when God became Man, and the invisible second coming came to be when Christ judged Jerusalem, while officially ending the old covenant, do you believe in the 3rd coming?
How so? Please respond succinctly if you believe the Lord will be coming visibly, for all to see.

By the way, this ridiculous picture of the Lord's coming is nothing but an atrocious way of attempting to imagine the "Second Coming", or the "Third Coming." 😁

talk about absolutely manipulating Scripture for a very unbiblical view!

look how that verse reads from the 4th century Greek:
28 so also Christ, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall to those that look for him appear a second time without sin in order to salvation.

this explains that because Jesus Sacrifice covered our sins, we can now look toward His Second Coming which is part of our Salvation!

Jesus made a promise to send the spirit until he came back

you sound like someone in this group of scoffers

“knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

(?whys it taking so long ?)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:3-7, 9-13‬ ‭KJV‬

he’s coming back just as he left in the same manner just as he visable went up and then disappeared from sight , he will return suddenly and appear again returning in the exact same manner he left in thier sight he’s just giving people time to repent so they don’t perish with the world

“And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:10-11‬ ‭

They saw him go and whoever is alive will see him return many who die before that day won’t but they will have already seen him his return will be wotnessed by the whole earth when it happens

Nope. My beliefs come from viewing the scriptures in their correct context which leads me to understand the whole spectrum of God's word in the correct way of applying scripture. If you want to call it Preterism, go ahead, I don't follow doctrinal beliefs although I pay attention to what is being said today. Most, I discard. Dispensationalism is hardly two hundred years old which makes it into a cult. Partial preterism goes back to the scriptures as they study them according to biblical logic. Either way, I am independent in my secondary beliefs.
I would agree with Partial Preterism also, though I do not hold to a fixed interpretation of the scripture.

Revelation 1:7
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”

Yes, Rev. 1:7 speaks of His SECOND COMING when He closed the Old Covenant by destroying the temple, and at the same time, He judged Jerusalem for all her sins against Him, especially when they dared to crucify the Lord of glory. Check out AD 70.

What are you going to teach me, professor? I have been researching the scriptures since 1984 while asking the Lord to teach me His word, NOT what is popular, but His word which happens to be TRUE.

You wrote so much that I have no idea where to start. All I said is that Jesus came back for the second time just as He promised to judge Jerusalem and to destroy the empty temple. His coming didn't have to be visible. God does not reveal physically Himself to sinners. Never did and never will.

When did the old covenant (the law of Moses) officially end? Most of what Paul wrote about the coming of the Lord had to do with the closing of the old covenant which immediately brought judgment against Jerusalem who was ripped for judgment (1Thes. 2:14-16).

Matthew 23:33–38 (NIV) “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? 34 Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. 35 And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.

37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 38 Look, your house is left to you desolate."

Yeap, the invisible presence of the Lord effectively worked against the Jews in AD 70 and judged them for having broken the law of Moses to no end.

No, I have been simply reading the scriptures, praying, and waiting on the Lord to show me what is in His word. Most modern Christians start studying the word of God in the middle, having accepted what their pastors have taught them without ever investigating whether it was true or not. That's the beginning of a deception. I started from the very beginning believing only that Jesus was God, the Spirit had been given to me to help me be like Christ, so I decided to let Him teach me what I didn't know. I wouldn't dare to manipulate the scriptures; actually, you should verify what I'm saying, and recognize that most of what is taught in the NT was written to the believers of the first century NOT to us.

We must learn to respect the scriptures and learn to read them from the perspective of their recipients, and not assume it is talking about our future instead of recognizing that the writers were speaking about their own future.

To discern the truth of the scriptures, we must read them in the context it was given. One example is Rev. 1:1-3. What does it say to the seven churches? The answer was that all that John was about to see in a vision, was going to happen very soon, NOT two thousand years later. It happened!

To me it isn’t so much that Jesus personally returned a 2nd time in 70 AD to destroy the temple. Seeing to it that every stone was not literally left upon another.

Matthew 24:2
2“Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

While this is virtually true, it’s not literally true. The western wall of the temple is still standing to this present day.

It’s more like when God brings a judgement against a people, He’ll sometimes stir up an army to come attack them. It isn’t usually surgically precise, but it can be.

In the case of the destruction of the temple, the Romans tore it down generally and effectively, but they didn’t see to every stone literally being thrown down.

It isn’t as if the Romans woke up one morning and collectively thought, “Hey let’s go destroy their temple.” No, this was a process that didn’t happen over night. They had precedent for destroying the temple and it was due to a revolt in the area they were governing. Jesus prophesied this would happen and He was correct.

When God moves to action on Earth, it isn’t a “coming of the Lord” because God is actually present at the moment and watching day and night.

Of course, God can manifest His presence in different ways. The second advent of Christ will be visible and everyone will know beyond a doubt that there’s something major happening globally.
