the old ones from the 80's or the newer ones?
View attachment 239059 View attachment 239060 Personally, I like them both (well, I do remember seeing the originals when I was a kid :p ) but my kiddos prefer the more modern ones (can't say I blame them though, the animation is pretty cool)
Grew up watching Superbook on Doordarshan (DD channel). Moses, David, Noah, etc. Didn't know they made a reboot

I think the last two animations I watched were pretty cool - Moana and Frozen but after its been playing a million times on repeat you are reading to let it go. Most cartoons these days are a snoozefest for me. Now that I think about it the Lego movie was pretty clever.

Any thoughts on adults (people in their late 20s, 30s, no kids) who regularly watch cartoons intended for kids (like Disney movies, Pixar movies, etc.)? I want to be non-judgmental but I feel I have outgrown these movies. Not talking about cartoons intended for adults, like Family Guy or South Park, but more cartoon movies and shows intended for kids.
You are saying that a 50-something can't watch Roadrunner?
Or have a good time with Dispicable Me?
"I don't wanna talk about Bruno"
But "Be our Guest" in Beauty and the Beast rocks.

Of course these movies are child focused....big deal. I like them too.

I'm not a fan of Moana....kinda dumb....same as Encanto. Somebody decided that they needed a movie for politically correctness reasons and went script hunting.

Frozen was actually decent but had some lousy themes in the musical score and script.

Then the star wars movies came and really screwed things up....

So....
"Do you wanna kill some rebels?" **sung in a whiney voice**

I dont watch cartoons to learn morals lol, I watch mostly for artistic reasons. And yes it was pc but we cant all be Elsa :)
As for Stars Wars, Ive only seen one of the most recent ones. It was funny, not the movie just the fact I went with 2 others and we all fell asleep in the theatre at different times. So in the car we were trying to figure out what happened in the movie.

Home movies, is a great cartoon.
I prefer animation to live action. Its weird to to watch adults play pretend (for me anyway). Treasure Planet is fun.
I hate Marvel though. Terrible stuff.

I wouldn't watch Family Guy even if it is for adults. Same thing for Disney. Disney doesn't deserve my time.

If a grown adult makes a habit of watching children's cartoons by themself, I think they're probably stunted emotionally or have other issues. I don't know what a mature adult could possible get out of kids cartoons and movies.

Watch Mordecai and Rigby = good for the whole family, which is why they took it off the air.
Regular Show! I use to watch it with my son. We were hooked! Benson was one of my favorite characters there. I'll still watch it today if it came back.

My Wife and Kids were hoping for a New Season of Episodes and were greatly saddened when they did not continue.

Should we lift this up in prayer to the LORD? = ABSOLUTELY

Let's pray for a return of the Regular Show with New Episodes that continue with Honorable Family standards as we have watched.

I love cartoons, well the hilarious ones. Many of them are just timeless: The Simpsons, Tom & Jerry, The Regular Show etc.
