What is your view or definition of femininity, and why is that your view? What is femininity to women, and what is femininity to men? What are the benefits and positives of femininity in our society?

Well, I'd say that it's when a woman doesn't feel the urge to knee you roughly in the groin and to follow that up with a karate chop to the back of your neck on your way down to the ground for even asking such a question.

Yeah, that's a good place to start...lol.

Okay, okay... serious answer:
To me being feminine has a lot to do with emotions. Where men focus on "This is here, that is there, I have these abilities and these limits, and this thing can be fixed with that," women pay more attention to "If I say this in THIS way he will feel like crud under the fridge, but if I say the same thing THAT way he may feel like he can do something about the problem."

This is important because men and women are made to work together as a team. They need to be good at different things so they have all the bases covered.

This also causes a lot of the friction between men and women, when each side thinks their own viewpoint is more important and doesn't even try to understand the other's viewpoint, much less acknowledge the other might be better at something.

This is also the source of the old canard about a wife kicking her husband under the table when he says something out of place. :giggle: Sometimes women just know these things.

Mind you, this is an ability some women misuse a lot. When you understand emotional content better you are also a lot more able to tear people down.

Wow Caleb you are on a roll! Sorry if I get your threads mixed up theres so many today hehe. Femininity (I always have to say that in syllables to spell it correctly) is a woman with softness. Softness with her words, softness with her touch, softness with her influence. Its not always a physical appearance thing. I was watching this clip of Marilyn Monroe and she always spoke softly in her roles. Dont know if that was her away from the cameras but it appealed to me. Different times tho. This is my view because more and more today I see women and girls in shouting screaming exchanges, they almost sound like guys and look like them too! Its just very unappealing to see that. Benefits of femininity in society = girls growing up with class. Children who naturally seek their mothers advice instead of tiktok. Traditional roles like housewife, mothers given more value. A feminine women just like a masculine man knows who she is and does not have to be confined to some modern standards.

well I dont really have a view on it since I AM female so it is what it is.

I dont really feel the need to talk about feminine hygiene in mixed company lol.

But I suppose if you really want my opinion I think womens bodies have different needs than mens and on the face of it need a lot more maintenance. And its never ending.

I think even after menopause women need to look after their bodies in a way that men do not.

If you want to know the definitions of both Yin is feminine
Yang is masculine

You can look up the qualities of each...Chinese have known this for thousands of years.

In one sentence femininity is the softness of a woman, when she slowly exhales you see her body in a relaxed calm state, but more importantly its her inner softness, that brings out the warm smile, the kind thoughts..

In my opinion, femininity in this day and age focuses more on the appearance and how a woman is presented, or the more rosy and fluffier type of things that can be replicated with restraint (though not very well) by males.
However womanhood, though the definitions are rather similar, I believe is something that is deeply engrained in the biological woman that is God-given and cannot be replicated. Not perfectly at least.
Womanhood is natural maternity/motherhood, nurturing, deeply protective and loving, and so on. Womanhood and femininity go hand and hand; femininity (defined usually by feminine or "girly" actions or appearance) is a result of womanhood. The true beauty of both cannot be copied, or even preserved by means of surgery or injections; but is ageless and rooted in the woman. But that's just how I look at it in this moment. :unsure:

Whether or not womanhood can be perfectly replicated, the Apostle Paul used the example of a nursing mother to describe the type of care that he and certain others had for the saints at Thessalonica:

II Thessalonians chapter 1 (Berean Study Bible)

1You yourselves know, brothers, that our visit to you was not in vain.
2As you are aware, we had already endured suffering and shameful treatment in Philippi. But in the face of strong opposition, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God.
3For our appeal does not arise from deceit or ulterior motives or trickery.
4Instead, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, not in order to please men but God, who examines our hearts.
