Dizzy from the earth spinning as a globe, or as a merry go round?
Flat Earth doesn't require the Earth to spin. Neither does the theory of geocentrism, which is a still a globe-Earth theory. However, both these put the universe much smaller than the heliocentric theory requires.

I don't know which, if any, of you have encountered Dave (Professor) Farina's debates with

Dave (Flat Earth) Weiss on this subject, but it is amusing. Farina has no patience with Weiss.
BTW - I've no idea why this computer is doing this, but I don't know how to correct it. I'm a bit of a dinosaur.

A short true story, to go with the "eclipse" points made earlier:- In mid '99, a man was on the "Richard and Judy" programme (British TV), saying the World was definitely going to end at the eclipse soon coming. He even put £50,000 on it. I don't see how he would have collected it, but I suppose as he wouldn't need it, it underlined the boldness of his claim.
After the date had come and passed, R and J had him back on. He seemed somewhat embarrassed, and Richard said "Don't worry - it's not the end of the World."

I was with my dad on a missions trip to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania literally days before the US shut down the airports in 2019. while going across the bay of Mwanza I took a few pictures across Lake Victoria. I still have them somewhere. I could see land across on the Entebbe side of the lake.....

Flat earth point of view has been a understanding for quite a while. If it was debunked, why is it still a question, a topic of discussion? The earth is not flat because there are mountains and valleys, hills and depths. I will say this, THE EARTH IS NOT A BALL, OR GLOBE. What happens when you pour water on a basketball? It obviously falls of at the bottom. How could one possbibly flood a basketball where it would cover mountains(if it had mountains). It couldnt. I understand from the time we entered school the world has been presented in the form of a ball. So anything proposed otherwise must be absurd and crazy. Well if your in this forum most likely you believe that God exists and His scriptures yeild authority over any other scripts in existence. So I dont understand how so many people voted that the earth is globe versus the earth being "flat". I prefer to calling it horizontal, hence the horizon. If you read Genesis more attentively you will see what God thru Moses wrote about it and many other books written in the inspired word of God. So by looking at the outcome of the votes. I would conclude those who voted that its s globe or commented against those who believe in flat earth with their attempt to discredit it, are those who dont really know the bible, but because they think they
do, but are just religious hobbiests who dont know their elbow from their culios! Just saying.
