I've been giving away cookies for decades. I'm kinda infamous for it.

Every Christmas I give out around 1,000 large cookies and over 1,000 pieces of fine chocolate truffles.

I make everything. I got it down pat.

And you are correct that the bakery isn't exactly open yet....it will be soon.

It depends upon how soon we can get a crew hired in.
Health inspection might be this week or first of next depending upon the plumber. Then there's the extra fridge.

That's what is keeping us closed at the moment.

Then it's just a matter of filling the display cases and making it happen.
That you have a baking reputation already I would think is a great advantage. People know about your baking prowess already so a bakery is a great upgrade.

You're going to do great. 😀💕🍪🥧🧁🥯

We gotta keep an eye on you. 😜
For real! Reminds me of one time I visited a neighboring church and someone there made some very good sourdough cinnamon rolls. I made a comment about how a whole pan of them might happen to wander out. A church member said, "We'll stop you at the door." And the tone of voice he used told me it wasn't a joke. It wasn't a threat either, just a statement of fact.

I faced this dilemma at dinner yesterday. It was a gathering and as good as it all looked, I don't eat wheat. I have some non gluten flour at home, chocolate chunks, and half a gallon of Hagan Daz ice cream in the freezer.
I forgot all about the cookies and brownies from yesterday, now why did you have to bring that up and remind me? 😋

I mean how can they not, lol
Weeeeeell... That depends.

Occasionally I might happen to take all the cookies, and then it becomes a very hated topic, especially when I start gloating about getting all the cookies.

I mean... It's not MY fault they're too slow. But boy it sure becomes a real unpopular topic! :p

I noticed that Cookie Monster, a recovering cookiholic and Betty Ford joined forces to just say NO to drugs...and alcohol.....and cookies......and cheesecake.

I like the soft chocolate chip cookies, not the dry ones where I can hear myself crunch. I'll take a few (put down 3 here). I still like cookies with milk.

Hey Everyone,

The title says it all!

Choose as many answers as apply -- and just for fun, the poll results will be visible.

Then, for the sake of conversation, tell us how you would feel in this situation (facing a large stack of chocolate chip cookies RIGHT THERE,) and what the results would be!:unsure::LOL:

Looking forward to hearing the playful banter that this will hopefully bring out. :D

Just a fun little no-nonsense thread to start out the week. :)

People actually try stuff like that... I always made homemade dinner rolls for the potlucks at my husbands work and made enough for each employee to have two rolls...

Yet people were walking entire bags of them out to their cars, so I had to start figuring in some theft so people could still have two rolls if they wanted...

Crazy world.
