Older people are more affected, generally. And that sucks. We hope....
He's getting some antivirals.
My Father-in-law has been on disability since he got it last time. It destroyed half his lungs and his immune system. (Which is why he was at the rheumatologist)
He was getting closer to being able to get back to work as his O² levels were slowly climbing.
Now that's gone....
I'm not. I never wore one unless a business required it for entry. I'm not "vaccinated" either. Too many side effects and just not worth it to me. I haven't caught it yet (as far as I know anyway), and will weather it if I do.Most are wearing masks here again for the fifth, sixth or seventh time, I cant keep up.
My FIL is a year younger than me.Older people are more affected, generally. And that sucks.
My time in Colorado was limited to just the airport. I flew from Las Vegas to Denver to catch a connecting flight to Tampa. It was dark and cold. Flight left at midnight after being delayed due to de-icing the wings. This occurred on a Nov 30. After taking off the windows were still iced over so I did not see a single light in Denver or even Colorada for that matter. It was freezing inside that plane. I was given a thin blanket. Still cold. I did not take it off my head until the approach to Tampa. Miserable flight and I love to fly.I have been to a number of StatesWashington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, New York. Some of them were just stop-overs, like Miami on my way to Grand Cayman Island, where I was visiting a sister who lived there for five years, and/or Chicago on my way to Denver, where I lived for some months in a log cabin in the foothills known as Indian Hills. The Indian Hills' population (according to the United States Census of 2010) was 1,280. I was there 30 years before that.
I drove down the coast highway from Vancouver to San Francisco, and also drove the same way (at least part of the way) to get to Reno, and then drove through Idaho and Montana on my way from Reno to Calgary; I thought Montana was really very beautiful. Not me driving, but as a passenger in the carI have a picture of myself in an Oregon motel while visiting the sand dunes there, displaying a sign saying the water was not safe to drink; I was holding two bottles of wine LOL. And yes, Niagara Falls was a place we visited while I was still living in Ontario
I also took my daughter there when we were back for a sister's wedding in 2001. We went up the CN Tower the same day
I was definitely driving then

I stopped wearing my mask earlier this year. In Tennessee, virtually no one wears one. My wife still does though. Most are wearing masks here again for the fifth, sixth or seventh time, I cant keep up.
I feel exactly the same way.I'm not. I never wore one unless a business required it for entry. I'm not "vaccinated" either. Too many side effects and just not worth it to me. I haven't caught it yet (as far as I know anyway), and will weather it if I do.
I refuse to live my life in fear.
ok these TLAs are new to me ..My FIL is a year younger than me.
MIL is a year older.
I'm really worried about him. He ain't doing well today....it's hitting him hard again.
What is FIL and what is MIL
nothign wrong with marrying with large age difference.
Wow, so you married young. (Not judging one bit... personally, I don't have a huge problem with that, unless your FIL's 30My FIL is a year younger than me.

A good friend of mine, diabetic but otherwise healthy and very active, got 'the shot' and then a stroke a month later.I feel exactly the same way.
The vaccine is not really a vaccine as it does not contain a dead virus. It is just a bunch of chemicals that react to the virus and supposedly neutralize. The stuff is poison and doesn't even work that well. It also changes your DNA and, in some cases, weakens your immune system.
Who knows the long-term implications for those that had both shots and the booster(s)? Five years from now 1/2 the population of the US might be facing extremely serious medical issues because of those shots.
My elderly neighbors across the street had both shots and also the booster. A few months later they both caught Covid. The husband died, but he had other issues besides Covid.
Shots are worthless and dangerous. Not for me. Not for my wife either or her daughter.
My wife is 17 years younger than me....Wow, so you married young. (Not judging one bit... personally, I don't have a huge problem with that, unless your FIL's 30).
All we can do is pray for his recovery. He should be getting antivirals, things that boost his immune system (vitamins C, D & Zinc have been noted to do good things against Covid), Ivermectin, etc, etc.
It's not like I robbed the cradle.
Hey, good for you bro! As long as you get along, can relate to each other, etc., then I envy what you have (not just or only the youth, but someone good to come home to every day).My wife is 17 years younger than me....
But she had her masters degree and her career when we met.
It's not like I robbed the cradle.
Actually I hid my talents from her for almost a year. I mentioned them briefly but did not demonstrate them whatsoever. She thought I was full of it and that I really couldn't cook well....You simply enticed it with a bevy of homemade baked goods.![]()
