I learned how to replace the belt on my lawn tractor today, what a pain! Took me all day, but I finally figured out you have to be in the right position to do the job... I bought a come-along and some chain and jacked little red straight up! Then I could sit on a 5gal paint can in the shade while I worked. EASY

Rainy day here again. Confined to barracks. Time to stir up the slow cooker and get something working at least. Have to go and vote in our Federal elections later on, then on to a cafe to help get over that trauma. May everyone have a joyful day in the Lord.

yesterday went to an escape room haha we didnt make it out in time and I had to keep calling for clues but we did make it out eventually! The escape room was old school theme.
It was fun, I reckon I could do something like that at real school but would need to invest in a lot of padlocks!
caught the bus into town but we ended up walking round in circles trying to - bus stop to get the bus back as the routes are different going back
today went to a garden centre and there was this tour group of very posh garden designers society going round, exclaiming over every plant for their designer gardens...the poor staff were like arggh everything has to be perfect cos they were like garden royalty...!
We didnt end up buying any plants but one of the workers snuck me some succulents that had broken off accidentally
then did some gardening...so a somewhat busy weekend for me, at least I am over the cold.

It's the weekend so I've been trying to get as much physical rest as possible. My feet have been hurting me, even when I'm not using them.
yesterday school had spring a surprise staff meeting in me, which is bothering me and this is way I hate hate staff meetings because honestly if I wasnt there and none the wiser it wouldnt make ANY difference, plus they not paying me any extra for staying behind
no practical solutions or strategies found, just a lot of talk, and it reminded me of 'change management' or restructuring meetings to get us used to the idea of some kind of corporate takeover...I have my suspicions.
when they make you write stuff on post its and sheets of A3 paper on what you think about poxy questions that dont make sense I know they got no idea on what is happening. Because it reminded me of how cults operate, get everyones 'feelings' on a new model and then pull the rug out from under them.
honestly its a headache but how can we make sense of it when none of the staff have agreed to it except for the principal who is leaving the end of the year and possibly the next person we'll get will be either brilliant or a tyrant who will bring nothing but misery to the table
anyway, so yesterday my day was ruined but I decided to not bother with thinking anymore about it when ppl talk business or management jargon that makes zero sense.
today was a bit up and down. I decided to completely remove a computer because one boy was hogging it, playing games when I thought IT had blocked them, and now am thinking why not just give it to him cos he obviously needs it more than I do. I have two other computers and thats enough. Its weird that ppl say oh kids need to learn tech and computer skills and then at the SAME time they. complain they have too much screen time. thats the stupid thing about computers they have so much stuff on it that you have no use for. I dont use half the apps on this ipad and never bought any itunes, podcats or done the photobooth thing but cant get rid of those useless apps. but if its cutting into reading time its got to go.

I think I just need to pray and make sense of whats happening in my world. Cos what just happened is that half the kids dont come to school and they have no idea what they are learning, and the parents dont either cos they dont go. but one kid was very happy I had made him library monitor as his first ever job.

Down visiting my older sister for a week. She usually has a stack of jobs for me. Spent most of the day hanging on to a water blaster cleaning pebblecrete.
i put the computer at entrance near the desk but boy still went on it but least can keep an eye on him and guide him to library website.
some boys just really really need a computer fix... hes stuck in a youtube video and a video game

From beverly hills to the ocean?? LolHeh heh heh... my new toy... 14' sit in. I figure I'll leave it on the trailer, thinking if we have a week or so more of the rain that we have had over the past few days, I can float it straight off the trailer and paddle down to the Bay.
I have been very busy caring for six other seniors and my brother. Maybe I will have time this weekend.
