Neither I , nor any other Christian, talks about "salvage" in this connection. IN FACT YOU WILL NOT FIND THAT WORD IN THE KJB!
|

Salvation is a related term of salvage.
Salvage is a related term of salvation.

As nouns the difference between salvage and salvation
is that salvage is the rescue of a ship, its crew or its cargo from a hazardous situation or salvage can be while salvation is (religion) the process of being saved, the state of having been saved (from hell).

As a verb salvage
is of property, people or situations at risk, to rescue.

Oh ok

Salvation includes all of the things shown below (and there is Scripture for everything):
1. Justification by God's grace and the gift of imputed righteousness.
2. The forgiveness of past sins.
3. The gift of the Holy Spirit.
4. The gift of eternal life.
5. The gift of Christ within.
6. Regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit.
7. A new creation in Christ and newness of life (a new heart, an new mind, and a new spirit).
8. The cleansing of the soul from all guilt and sin.
9. The empowerment of the believer over the sin nature through the Holy Spirit.
10. A hunger for righteousness and truth. This is a part of sanctification.
11. A hunger for the Word of God.
12. A desire to commune with God in prayer.
13. Separation from all that is evil and sinful and opposed to God and Christ.
14. A desire to engage in good works and demonstrate the love of God to others.
15. A desire to share the Gospel with the lost, and bring them to Christ.
16. A desire to honor and obey God and Christ in all things, beginning with baptism.
17. A desire to exercise the spiritual gifts given by the Spirit.
18. A sincere love for the brethren.

So all of this includes (a) deliverance from Hell, (b) deliverance from the devil, (c) deliverance from the world, and (d) deliverance from self (the sin nature). But it also means being removed from the kingdom of darkness and being placed within the Kingdom of Light. Therefore those who are saved are (1) children of God, (2) heirs of God, (3) joint-heirs with Christ, and (4) within a Royal Priesthood. Their citizenship is in Heaven. They will therefore live and reign with Christ. Those who have been faithful in small things on earth, will be given large responsibilities in eternity. The first shall be last, and the last shall be first.

At the same time God expects His children to live and act as children of God while on earth. We must all stand before the judgment seat of Christ to be judged for our works and our words. Those whose works and words have eternal value (gold, silver, precious stones) will receive corresponding rewards and crowns. And those whose works and words have no eternal value (wood, hay, stubble) will suffer the loss of rewards and crowns, but not the loss of salvation (which is a free gift of God's grace).

Salvation does not exempt Christians from trials, tribulations, temptations, and testings. In fact Satanic and demonic attacks begin immediately and do not abate. Instead they intensify.
Therefore God gives His children "the whole armour of God" and the Holy Spirit within. All the apostles were martyred, and today thousands of Christians are being persecuted worldwide for their faith in Christ. But in eternity they will be greatly rewarded and honored.
I agree with everything that you have posted. Would you agree with me, that we have many deliverances (salvations) as we sojourn here in earth? If we assume that all of the salvation scriptures are pertaining to eternal deliverance, we are assuming wrong. God delivers his children many times. For example; If we have an illness, and pray to God that he would deliver us from that illness, and he does, is not that a deliverance (salvation) that we receive as we sojourn here in earth?

You are correct. God also delivers His children from harm, danger, illness, injury, or sudden death. I have personally experienced that on highways several times.

Who is the "all" that Jesus died for? John 17:2 - As thou hast given him power over "all flesh", that he should give eternal life to "as many as thou hast given him. Acts 13:48 - As many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Daniel 4:35 - And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? If it were God's will that all of mankind is to be saved, why are there some that are going to hell? Is it because they "stayed his hand"?

If that is so, do you believe that all of the salvation scriptures are pertaining to eternal heaven? Or, could some of the salvation scriptures be referencing a deliverance that we receive as we sojourn here on earth?

Since eternal life is the gift that God gives, then salvation is about eternal Heaven, and also living and reigning with Christ. God will perfect His saints so that they totally resemble Christ (1 John 3:1-3).

Salvation (4991) (soteria from soter = Savior in turn from sozo = save, rescue, deliver) (Click here or here for in depth discussion of the related terms soter and sozo) describes the rescue or deliverance from danger, destruction and peril.

Salvation is a broader term in Greek than we often think of in English. Other concepts that are inherent in soteria include restoration to a state of safety, soundness, health and well being as well as preservation from danger of destruction.
From your accurate description of salvation, can you see that most of the scripturess has reference to deliverances that the child of God receives while is living here on earth?

Re. Bible Dictionary:

Salvation is defined as being delivered, by God's grace, from sin and its consequence of eternal punishment and being raised to newness of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:4). Salvation comes to those who repent and, by faith, receive Jesus alone as personal Savior and Lord (John 1:12).
Who is it that repents of breaking one of God's spiritual laws? It is those that have been born again spiritually with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and has had their heart changed to a soft heart that can be pricked to feel guilt. Until a person has been born again, he has no ability, with his heart of stone, to feel guilty of breaking one of God's spiritual laws. 1 Cor 2:14.

Salvation comes to those that have been born again by God's sovereign grace.

Do you believe that the word Salvation is translated to mean "a deliverance"? If that is the correct meaning of salvation, do you think that a child of God can be delivered by God when they pray for the healing of an illness that they have?

2 Peter 3:9 | The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

If God accomplishes his will, and has all power among the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay his hand, (Daniel 4:35) how can some stay his hand if it is his will that none of mankind will perish in everlasting fire? (Mat 25:41).

Eternal life can be seen as the gift that God gives when we are saved (delivered).

I was saved at my conversion and at that point was given eternal life.

But I am today being saved from the power and control of sin and so am living eternal life: life being the key word - the noun. Life (zoe) is Jesus Christ (John 14:6) and it is knowing God and Jesus (John 17:3) - that is - eternal life is a relationship with Jesus.

But I still have a decaying physical body that I need delivered from: that will come in the future when I will be saved (delivered) and will then live forever with Jesus with a new body like His!

Yes, He does. He wills to give us a choice

By making the choice that He allows them to make. Why do you have a problem with Jesus loving people?
Your answer gives man part of the glory for his eternal inheritance, and discredits God's sovereign grace. Statement like this is not compatible with the doctrine that Jesus taught.

Those that God chastens, he loves. God does not chasten the wicked (Psalms 73:5) (Rom 9:13)

God gives his elect children choices to make as how they want to live their lives as they sojourn here in this world, but the choice of their eternal inheritance is made by God's sovereign grace. (Eph 2:1-5)

Ephesians Chapter 2

1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved

He is speaking of those who have already chosen. Giving us a choice is what grace is all about.

Are you aware that a man needs to repent in order to receive salvation?
The un-regenerant person will never repent of breaking a spiritual law of God that he cannot understand, and thinks them to be foolishness (1 Cor 2:14).

Only the born again people will repent. Salvation is "a deliverance". When the child of God repents, and God delivers him, he saves him here in this world. Children of God are delivered (saved) many times as they sojourn here in this world.
