European countries require companies to offer generous parental leave. But I dont see that happening in the US. If anything I think it goes back to capitalism if people are being overworked. But, now there is a trend towards work life balance and more people making choices based on this. So maybe capitalism will resolve this issue.

So by not having it as a 'right' I guess the US will just lose money on it. People who really want one can just go to Mexico or Canada maybe,...?

I thought maybe the captialists would come with an alternative industry, like I dunno, nannies or childrens homes for unwanted and unloved babies. And maybe a school, for dads.

wouldnt that be intersting, educating men on how to be dads. Wonder if that will ever happen since 'planned parenthood' more like a front organsiation for how to do away with your progeny.

One would think that if that were the case these claims of "rape" wouldn't take place until a month or two after the fact when the woman discovers she is pregnant. It is very hard to make up a story at that point. For example, suppose she texted and called the man she is now accusing of rape. Suppose she talked to her friends, especially in texts and emails.

Suppose a week after the supposed "rape" she went out to dinner with him and you have numerous witnesses at the restaurant.

Women better be careful about making phony amber alert accusations, if you heard something like that it can destroy you for life, you will feel very smollet.
That’s plausible, but sometimes it’s revenge.

At any point during consensual sex a woman says “no stop”, and the guy doesn’t cease and desist immediately, it becomes rape in a flash. That’s how couples who are dating, going out, living together, talking, etc, can still be accused of rape.

We can’t hold the assumption that just because a couple have an intimate relationship that they are entitled to have unrestricted access to each other’s body; the courts certainly don’t view it that way.

Anyway, that’s how easy it is to accuse someone of rape even if they are dating or living together in an otherwise peaceful relationship.

A false accusation is a crime and can destroy you for life.

When I taught Forensics I told the students on day 1 that anyone who could plan out a crime that would not leave any trace would get an A and would not have to take the tests or do any of the other assignments. No one ever got an A that way though we would get a few attempts each year. It is not possible to commit a crime that doesn't leave a trace.

That said if you plan it out carefully, if you are just as focused on cleaning up the evidence as you are with committing the crime, and if you do the one thing that common criminals never even consider you can commit a crime that would be very difficult to solve.

That is why deciding once you find out you are pregnant that you will accuse the person who got you pregnant of rape is never going to be a "clean" crime. You will have left a ton of evidence that you are a liar. You may think that your training as an actor (Jussie Smollett and Amber Heard) will help you tell a lie. You are deceiving yourself.

I heard what Tucker said tonight and I totally disagree. I don't think corporations as a whole care at all if you are married or single. Plus, they have no control whatsoever over our personal lives. No one at work except a few people know anything about me. Nowadays at the corporate level there is more emphasis on work life balance, and more companies are offering telework and other flexibilities as a result. There is not a goal to hire just young single women; hiring is generally based purely on qualifications. But, I have to admit there can be agism in general when hiring. It is harder for older people to get hired. At the lower level management, or maybe it is just human nature, there is an assumption that single people have a lot of free time etc. For a while, I did have to work long hours...but my boss (male) worked even longer hours. I did get upset and complain.

The laws in the US make it illegal for them to ask questions about whether or not you plan to get married or have kids in an interview, much less on a questionnaire. However, you can be sure that the accountants in the all the fortune 500 companies have figured out exactly where the costs are with labor and how to save money. There is a reason the government had to pass the pregnancy discrimination act to protect the following rights:

  • Your employer cannot fire you because you are pregnant.
  • Your employer cannot force you to take mandatory maternity leave.
  • You must be granted the same health, disability, and sick-leave benefits as any other employee who has a medical condition.
  • You must be given modified tasks, alternate assignments, disability leave, or leave without pay as needed (this depends on company policy).
  • You are allowed to work as long as you can perform your job.
  • During your leave, you are guaranteed job security.
  • While on leave, you continue to accrue seniority and remain eligible for pay increases and benefits.
Also the Family and Medical leave act requires that all companies with 50 or more employees give a woman having a baby 12 weeks off. However, Mass. requires they give 12 weeks of paid leave, California requires 8 weeks of paid leave, and there are other states as well that offer a variety of options between extra time off and paid leave. Imagine you have a receptionist or a cashier and she winds up having a baby every 18 months over the next six years, having four babies. If this is paid leave you basically paid her for an entire year when she wasn't working.

And that is only the start. I have seen many women have to leave work due to family emergencies, sick child, or some issue with the child at school.

You can be sure that the boss who may have a family is empathetic, but the accountants who count beans are very clear that this woman is much more expensive and far less productive than those single employees who never get married.

These views are very contradictory. Tucker complained that now half of the banking sector (if I remember the sector correctly) now hire women, and that more women are being hired, yet at the same time there is discrimination against hiring women/young mothers? Doesn't make sense.

women make great employees in a business filled with cubicles. As a rule women play well together. However, the problem is that women have families, children and they will often care more about that than their job. So you hire women, pay them low wages but offer a nice communal environment where they are happy, and then disparage women who want to get married, promote all the "freedoms" that women have achieved and virtually mock the suburban soccer mom. Push transgenderism in schools knowing you can destroy a woman and man's reproductive organs solving the problem that way. You push for abortions, knowing that 60 million aborted babies will be sixty million kids the corporations will not have to pay for. Also, what woman wants to take 12 weeks off for an abortion, most want to keep that secret. The worship of money and career is in direct conflict with being married and having a family.

When i was working out side the home i needed time away from work to take a kid to the doctor meet with the teachers, those kind of things . To the point i stopped working... when i was no longer responsible for kids i did not need the time away from work went back to working out side the home . Knowing what i needed i could make a good guess that a woman pretty much between the ages of 18 and 38 are going to be away from the job more then a woman of 40 .

I so wish for families today one parent (mostly Mom) could be home to raise the kids . Taking early childhood classes in college kids need parents .

I have worked at multiple places and have never seen the corporation or anyone dissuading me from getting married/having children. Recently with telework capablities, which is now the trend for white collar, non in-person customer service jobs, our managers have given us increased flexibility as long as we work the total hours within the day and complete our takes. A lot of my married w/ kids coworkers use a mix of daycare and look after the kids during during telework days. Nowadays, one income is not an option anyway due to increased cost of living and increased housing costs.

You cannot see the forest for the trees. You work in an oligarchy. The US policy is controlled by corporations.

What I shared is what Disney, Google and other woke corporations are pushing as policies for the US.

They don't discuss it before it happens.
I know many women that lost jobs once they became pregnant, one was a lawyer and she sued the firm and won.
And that was not that long ago.
I know another Ph. D graduate (male) who was told he was not hired by a university because they have a "diversity equity policy" in place that they had to follow and therefore hired a woman even though they even told him he was more qualified.

I'm of the position that any exemption to an abortion ban is unnecessary. Any woman who has been raped has complete and unfettered access to the morning after pills. It is as effective as any other means of birth control.

It is even bigger business to allow the child to be born as they will now become a consumer. The only business that benefits from abortion are the clinics that perform this gruesome procedure.
