MY Statement on Sex in Marriage.

Hebrews 13:4
GOD’S WORD Translation
Marriage is honorable in every way, so husbands and wives should be faithful to each other.

Hebrews 13:4
Amplified Bible
4 Marriage is to be held in honor among all [that is, regarded as something of great value], and the marriage bed undefiled [by immorality or by any sexual sin]; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

and, it is fun, brings couples closer together.

I have had some of my best conversations with my husband in bed. Sex should bring people closer to each other. By people meaning those in the marriage lest I be accused of open marriage or sex before marriage or some other thing I never said  It's just too bad really, when you have to be concerned someone is just waiting to pounce on your words and say 'aha!'. Thankfully, I don't think that is being done by most people here although comprehension seems to be some sort of general problem.

Not all my couciling is with Christians.
And I didn't take my classes in a Christian school. Nothing wrong with good advice and who better to give it then a believer.

Really have been on here too much today and I think it's enough for the day. Thanks.

There is a spiritual component to sex and not just physical. Perhaps more people should consider their spirituality and commit their physical lives to God.
For whatever it's worth, personally, I agree with what you said here.

In other words, there's a lot more to the two becoming one than just a physical union during sexual relations.

I mean, if there isn't a spiritual and soulish connection FIRST, then a man might as well just go look for a hole in a tree.

Sorry to be so graphic, but some people here seem to have dehumanized sexual relations while basically depicting men as dogs in heat and women as pin cushions.

Nice to see you back...again...again...lol.

While I agree with what you are saying...Here's the thing, this thread has been taken from one extreme to the next over and over again. You've got people going off in all kinds of crazy directions. No one, to my knowledge, anyhow was advocating treating anyone like a piece of meat or indicating that sex is the only thing marriage is built on.

It has all been discussed numerous times in this thread, and people just keep attacking and accusing others.

So like I said, I agree with your sentiments here.

But really, I wish I hadn't even engaged in this thread 2 years ago when it began. It really has been fruitless and a bunch of nonsense and accusations.
As I said in my initial response, I haven't read much of what has been written on this thread, so I've only commented on the little bit that I've actually read.

That said, I have seen some unusually disturbing...what can I call them?..."attacks" on here that seem to be directed towards those who are simply sharing their own sentiments/understanding of scripture.

(He checks to see if he's in the BDF...)

P.S.

I should add that knowing you, and having spoken to you many, many times in the past on the subject of marriage, I do fully believe that you understand that there is much, much more to marriage than just physical/sexual relations between a man and his wife.

Good night all, I need to cook dinner,
Daniel
Good night.

I just finished off a plate of shrimp and linguini myself.

Not typical bear food, I suppose, but I never claimed to be a typical bear...lol.

NO ONE CARES!

ITS NOT THE POINT. NEVER HAS BEEN. ONLY YOU ARE DISCUSSING THIS.
I care, and it's a very valid and important point that she made.

If you're correct in stating that no one else cares, then I genuinely feel sorry for all of you.

Hellfire and brimstone preaching no doubt about it. I don't have that background and I am not impressed by your giving someone and not me either, that ole timey you either agree with scripture or you don't. I don't think you see a thing I said. And yet here I am still trying to address the whys of things.
I don't get you at all. What is hellfire preaching? It's a Bible verse! If you're offended, no good to talk to me. I didn't write it.

You and I have very different communication skills. I call yours 'my way or the highway'. Yeah. I know. God said it. But He said a whole lot of other things as well.
Not on this subject He didn't.

There should be no argument here. The fact that there are so many people trying to add a "Yeah but"...
I have come to understand by experience and observation that the word 'but' means 'beneath the underlying truth'. It is like wait for the other shoe to drop is over. Not one of my favorite words either. I try to avoid using it. Those that add that particular word to their explanation have just nullified all that came before it.

Congrats are in order. My record is 11 years, 2 months.
Rookie.

That will only win you the bronze medal...lol.

Oh, hello...again (and again, and again, and again...).

With God as my Witness, I popped in today to check out the thread on the "Third Temple News", which I never read before and never actually read today, because I've been talking to people about the coming third temple for years, and I was wondering if I might glean something from that thread.

Well, as things turned out, I got distracted by a cat fight.

MEOW!!! (With the emphasis on the OW!)

To make matters worse, I feel as if God wants me to do a few things here before leaving again, so you might be stuck with me for a while because I'm especially strapped for time at the moment.

Is there no escape from this place?

Anyhow, I hope that you're doing well.

Well that cannot be true since I have had so many responses on what I am only TRYING to discuss since some have somehow attributed to me things I never said.

Why are you yelling? All caps does not make your point.

You are speaking from the perspective of a woman. I don't think most men can they are easily aroused and prone to lustful thoughts. An honest man would agree.
I can't speak for men, but I don't think it has anything to do with being lustful. As we said before, young men seem to be ahead of young women in sexual interest. Then that changes later in life. I dislike that men are being pinned as being lustful, uncontrolled, and wrong for expecting their wives to have regular sex with them. This is called meeting each others needs. It's very simple. But we have people here yelling about 1232321 reasons a wife shouldn't be expected to have sex with their husband, it's unreal.

Fine and dandy.
Lord, it's like a hard candy Christmas.
I'm barely getting through tomorrow,
But still I won't let,

Sorrow bring me way down .

Just a general statement, and NOT me choosing anyone's side here...

I've heard it said that sheep don't "but" (butt)...goats do.

Of course, I've also heard it said that you should put your "buts" (butts) in the ashtray...or even on the toilet...lol.

Anyhow, don't mind me.

No one else does.

Nobody said anything about "forcing" anyone nor did I say to use the Bible to get what you want. I wouldn't advise either one. I tried to make it clear that it would not be wise or successful to say anything to your spouse, neither would it be wise to do anything like taking them before any third party like a pastor for "counseling". No, once again, my intention was to convey that it's the "aged women's" job to teach younger women how to treat their hubbies. Hubbies are just commanded to "love your wives".(alot simpler than reading "10 steps to more whoopie huh?) I thought I made all of that clear?....I do try to use as few words as possible. Maybe that's what gets me in trouble. I dunno.
Nahh you weren't in trouble. It's difficult sometimes to hear intent online is all. I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. As much as I dislike being considered "aged" I guess I am there now haha My bluntness comes off as rude or offensive at times, myself. I try to temper it with a little salt, but I still get into trouble myself often :)
