well it just suggests you are VERY unhappy with your current life because a move to another country is quite drastic IMHO

its not the same as visiting another country or only staying for a few months. Because you can always leave. if you intend on staying theres a whole lot you have to think about to set yourself up and to adjust to.

Plus new laws etc. Otherwise if you break them you can be deported. You cant for example, come to nz and think its ok to shoot a lot of people in a mosque with a machine gun just cos you dont like them. which is what one guy did.

Canada gets a lot of snow so, thats ok but I dont think they do a lot of surfing there.
I enjoyed Canada the one time I visited but that was in summer, I cant imagine what its like in winter.

I used to read a lot of Margaret Atwood novels, so feel like I know quite about about Canada from her. But then again shes only one Canadian writer from Ontario.
One of the school teachers is from Canada though I forget which province.

Im not trying to dissuade immigration/migration but thing is too much can cause problems as well as not enough. Im always hearing how the US hates immigrants esp illegal ones. But then they do they make it hard to support migrants.

nzers also go to australia for better opportunities. Australia is known to be tough on migrants they dont like and treating them as second class citizens.

I go to the Babylon Bee myself for news

It says, Fake News you can trust. I'm getting a conflicting message here. lol

Would you say, it's more trust worthy, or less reliable than C-SPAN?

People leave their home countries for different reasons, some of these reasons aren't a reflection of being unhappy.

You ever thought about moving to a different country?

Sorry to hear about the shooting, that's not good.

hmm jobs for people that eat apples

well, the nz apple and pear board I dont know if they are still needing R&D scientists. Maybe.

https://www.applesandpears.nz/
Now we are talking. Do you think you need higher than a 6th grade education for that R&D job? I know my ABC's.. :)

Makes sense that people move to Australia, since you would think their economy is bigger, and have more opportunities.

I have family in Australia, they seem to be doing pretty good overall. I never went, since the plane ride is like 50 hours non-stop. lol

everyone Ive talked to said they immigrated to nz for a BETTER life, which assumes that their life wasnt exactly the best in their old country.

Othewise what would the other reason be? Come to nz for a worse life? though children wouldnt have a choice. Refugees come here, sometimes they have no choice in that either, but their whole country is at war and its kinda hard to live when everythings being destoryed and such....

No, never thought of moving to another country, im standing my ground lol

Most people these days have a higher than 6th grade or year 6 education since techincially you arent allowed to even leave school until year 11 or 12.
Being a R&D scientist isnt an an after school job, you actually have to study science....

I know nzers who moved to australia and then came back cos, it was too hot, or they got tired of the aussie accents, or they just got homesick.

anyway, whats wrong with Canada? If youve got a good job there, why would you think the grass is greener. on the other side? The grass is green where you water it.

and its much greener by the septic tank

You know what they say, about people who assume?

What's your favorite part of living in New Zealand?

Well, it looks like no R&D career path for me. Maybe they are hiring a manager for the R&D department. I'm good at pushing buttons, so maybe there is a chance.

What's the climate like in New Zealand?

The grass is pretty green in Canada.

well I just out two and two together by the number of people whove told me why they left their home country, and later they DO tell me various reasons

for example

they were so poor that they were begging for bread or surviving on eating crusts
they ran away from an abusive marriage or family
their govt was fighting some stupid war they didnt want to be involved in
the rest of their family came to nz and they didnt want to be left behind - cos being with them was better
there was ugly racism
the weather was too hot and sticky
they lived in overcrowded conditions
they got called away to do a job in nz that paid them well and offered accomodation
there were no higher education opportunities in their homeland
their country had no medical treatment available for their condition
they married a nzer!

No men's area? Do we have to go in the woods to do our business?
Hey, what's wrong with the woods?

Just keep away from my tree when you do your business...

I have just directed some people toward the Lounge Forum

They are looking for some dates so I said there's a resident lounge lizard that can hook them up
Sorta like a quasi dating site.

I didn't know you had a tree, but if a grizzly is near by, you can have the whole forest. lol
