Hey there!
"Adam ate the fruit knowing what he was doing"
EXACTLY, and confession to the LORD was in order......we can't have it both ways, we are accountable for our actions....then and now....
Notice,
Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Gen 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
Gen 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
He called the man, confession was in order, he gave 2 excuses....before our Holy God....
Instead of "I ate of the tree you told me not."
but I now understand ,it was not in him to do it...now we should see how sinful sin really is.
and how much more we need(ed) a Saviour.....
Be blessed!
I see it as a statement of fact. The woman gave it to me and I ate. That's what went down.
The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
Btw, there's a whole lot more going on than meets the eye. Adam ate the fruit knowing what he was doing. Eve was deceived as she stated.
