Heretic.... you aren't allowed to question my self identification. That's hateful and racist (or is that speciest in this case?).
What? This from the woman who has repeatedly made oblique disparagement of my self-identity as a lynx?

There are lots of forum posts I could use, that you cannot edit. Were I so inclined, I could take you to court. :p

That moment when you want to continue the joke by objecting to his calling your felt dog identity a woman, but know that it's considered incredibly rude to call human looking females by the term for a female dog..... I think I'm gonna give up this ridiculous self identity nonsense and go back to biology.....

Sorry people guess I have to be a human woman.... whether I like it or not. Self identification just gets way too complicated way too quickly.

Oh shoot, I never thought about that!

Good thing you caught it first. If I'd caught it I never would have felt right mentioning it.

Fortunately there is NOTHING derogatory about being called a male feline. =^.^=

Again, to put it on topic... What does this mean you identify as?

And I never have been to those places where they do foam art. I'm more for utility than decoration.
A person...unique unto myself.

I have many labels. I own them all.

Nope...skipped training as a barrista. I have no idea as to how to steam the milk properly. Then the art on top of the cup? Um ......I can watch videos and again I'm lost.

I thought that this was a very low skill thing. It isn't. This all takes a lot more craftsmanship and finesse than I knew.

If your barrista puts art on top of your great coffee...tip them well. They deserve every penny.
I definitely wished I lived in close enough proximity to identify as one of your cafe's regular customers.

I'd just have to insist that they let you come out and play barista now and then. 😬

I came from a unique generation. We refuse to own any label society wants to label us with. We don't even label ourselves because we enjoy being everyone and everything.

Doofus I have not really heard used, though it sort of conjures up images of Beavis and Butthead cartoons

I know what a dweeb is. Garfield said of his owner Jon is a dweeb.

I havent heard of twerp? Though its kind of like what an older sibling would say of a younger one.

Princess and Prince...not really heard used much here either as often they are used to refer to actual royalty eg Prince Harry, Princess Diana etc.

Though Princess Diana actually said she was 'the people's princess' rather than belonging to the royal family or her husband...

Christian I hear is sometimes used derogatorily, like the first people used it as some kind of insulting label. But its become something most believers identify with lol

I love the smell of coffee, but I don't enjoy drinking it at all...
So, I guess that makes me "Decaffeinated" :geek:

Actually the plan is to keep me away from people...I'm not allowed to interact with customers.
Not even bars to keep me caged. A big glass window in case I feel the need to go chimpanzee and fling dough....

While up in St Louis I got a loaf of Sourdough...*sigh* it's been so long since I've had any. This one is seeded but I'm ok with that....but it is a nice loaf.

And I'd love to have you come by at some point.

I'm just curious as to why the powers that be want to keep you away from the people, esp. since you're a major part of the powers that be.

You seem like a pretty personable person... Are they THAT worried about you scaring off the customers?!?😳

And you never know, some of us CC- lians have been known to pass through the land of Tennessee-e-o-ia. 🤪

In school I kinda was just a nobody that did a little bit of everything. I played sports, spent my lunches in the art classroom or science lab, the rest of my time between classes/during study hall, I worked in the library or photo lab. I was friendly with everyone, but never really belonged to any group.

I am the major "power that be". My partner is fronting the money. But if it weren't for me the thing wouldn't be in the works. I'm instrumental in how this thing will run and happen. I've set up the goals and parameters. I'm the menu maker and recipe writer and margin setter. I'm purchasing and human resources. And I'm the one hiding in the back.
I built into the plans a back room that is a special closet for crying...

My partner, for the first time this past week, started to analyze things from a tasting point of view and was successfully able to express what he liked or disliked about coffee. He was extremely giddy about it too. He has been ramping up very quickly and I have to give him a lot of credit over it all. He's learned restaurant math and numbers and how they work. (We live or die by those)

He hasn't learned to analyze a restaurant, bakery, or coffee shop yet when walking through the door....but it's coming. I caught him playing tourist instead of analyst this past week...when it really mattered too. *sigh*

As far as people go....meh....I'm good for ten minutes and then I need to go hide before I say something I shouldn't.

Im more of a tea person than a coffee conoisseur...coffee people are way too jumpy.

Tea is refreshing, but coffee I never really got the whole I MUST HAVE COFFEE or I die vibe.
