in my experience the among the first things affected are balance & fine motor control. judgement is affected later.
contextually that's clusters that remain long after the harvest when people are thinking about pruning back the vines.
so those are grapes which have naturally begun to ferment, being unplucked, being partially exposed to oxygen from broken skin, and containing natural yeast.
it's not fresh, ripe grapes - overripe ones that have been previously overlooked.

In my past before my conversion I drank several things classified as alcohol, alcoholic wine, beer, 'liquor', etc.

it's true that little is a relative term
for the folks who are under the untenable impression that Biblical wine has zero or nearly zero alcohol content, i suppose the recommendation is to be read as a great number of liters -- tho i am thinking that would result in bladder pain?

Being in possession of the most valuable gift in eternity should alter our view of self dramatically, but the focus should be God, others, self. Not saying I have attained this perfected view as of yet, but I strive to run this race with all the help I can get.

I saw a video awhile back where a woman had a gasoline-drinking problem. That, I'd imagine, would qualify as sin. I thought that would kill you! I remember as a kid siphoning gas out of the car for the lawnmower and getting a mouthful. I never imagined someone would do that on purpose!
I remember a class years ago where a lady spoke of a poor family that was addicted to sipping gas.

I am actually working on a collection of short stories entitled, “The Sipsey Chronicles,” about the life and times of people that lived along its path.
I think I have used the word Sipsey so much during my life, that it just oozes out in conversation. It is an English spelling of a Choctaw Indian word spelled sipsi, and the name of a nearby small stream I grew up on. It means cottonwood tree. They were once plentiful along that stream and duly noted by the native population of long ago.I guess as long as they were sipping it and not drinking it out of a jerry can!
