From a biblical context, we’d have to go back and read Genesis 2: 18 - we know that God created his creation accordingly and since Eve (female) was made to be the helper for Adam (male), this joining was evidently going to be passed down through generations, right down to us who are living in the present times.

So the question: why do women like men? It’s in our DNA to be attracted or drawn to the opposite sex, (because of what we read in Genesis). For some Christians they are content on being single which is fine (as mentioned by Paul the Apostle) and, for others they desire companionship.

But I’ll answer your question like this instead: what do I admire about a man?

I actually see how they fit into the equation of being in a marriage and having that specific role of a Christ like man. There are certain qualities that only a man can do that a woman can’t, such as being the leader and headship in a family. Another quality would be the ability to protect a woman or his family not only physically but spiritually - we can find many examples of these men in the Bible i.e Abraham, Hosea, Jacob. Another quality is that men aren’t so easily scared (apart from the odd ones who like me flinch at creepy crawlies!) but most men I’ve come across in my lifetime are built to not fear or be scared of things, people, or situations. There’s almost another layer of “Superman like powers” that men hold - which mixes in well with their protection nature.

I can list many other reasons but I think I’ve gone too deep already with answering the OP.

Isnt it funny that Jesus never married
I cant imagine him doing so because all the other women might have gotten jealous. I remember one time I tried to start a thread on who would Jesus date and I got a very stern warning from the mods that this was blasphemous. Not on this forum though another one.

Jesus did have girlfriends though, Mary and Martha were both good friends of Jesus.

You did hit on one of the great biblical literary themes.

It started in Genesis with " it is not good for man to be alone"

Jesus is fully man and fully God at the same time. He is not going to be alone. His "Bride" is the Church. (As described in Proverbs 31)

Not because that we are worthy but because Jesus is.

I happen to like that theme...one I ran into while studying about the biblical prostitute.

Oh, I am GOOD at killing flies. The secret is to use a spoon. Thwack! A near flawless method.
Ya know I did not know this to a few years ago. Well not the spoon but that flies, going from the dead start they actually fly backwards first then go forward. So just changing that up and swatting towards the back of them has increased my hit to miss ratio compared to swatting to the front of them.

Which one? Rachab, the woman at the well, the woman with the alabaster box...

Well, who's that man?
Says He's a prophet
Well, I wonder if He's got somethin' up His sleeve
Where's He from?
Who is His daddy?
There's rumors He even thinks Himself a king
Of a kingdom of paupers, simpletons and rogues
The whores all seem to love Him
And the drunks propose a toast

And they say, "Surely God is with us
Surely God is with us"
They say, "Surely God is with us, today"

Spiders and heights are my biggest fears. I'm hoping to find a gal that loves spider squashing. My three year old niece does, so surely there's a grown up gal out there who likes it too!

Wasp and heights are my biggest fears. Both bring out the dark side in me.

Disclaimer: For any and all that last part was clearly meant to be comical, no need to private message, hey brother we need to talk......LOL

I always thought it strange that girls dont like boys and the boy dont like the girls in primary school....but when they go to high school its the boys who chase after the girls. And the girls then start liking them. What has changed. Did the boys become less gross?
Did the girls become less whiny?

yea complete mystery. As far as I know nothing really has changed, The boys just cover up their bad smells with deoderant and the girls just start gossiping on social media instead of giggling and snickering with each other in little girl groups.
Is primary school, grade school? If so us boys liked girls we just showed it by torturing ya's. We were just conditioning ya for the future so if ya marry us ya know we only torture the ones we like....LOL

Seeing how I have yet to grow up if any gal should ever find that I walk up behind her and give her hair a good yank. Put your phone down no need to call the law. That is merely me taking action to say hey come next Valentines Day, I wanna pass some sweetheart's candies your way shaped like a heart with a message written on them. That says, these candies are sweet but the end result is they will give me cavities. You are sweat and the end result is you will make me to mount up so I can walk on rainbows while I dance in the sun, clothed with the clouds. Be my valentine............LOL

Hmmmm.... A little advice. Don't fall for that "King of the Castle" crap. A husband and wife are a united front, Jack and Diane conquer the world! God just holds Jack accountable... Just sayin' ;)
King of the castle? Come on, more like king of the man cave she allows you to have............LOL

I was actually looking at the use and symbolism of the term and why it's discussed so much when there are a lot of sins much worse.

I think beards are fine as long as they are washed..it doesnt bother me if a man decides to grow one.

I guess some women have a thing against hair? Wasnt all of Samsons strength in his hair? Anyway, if dont like it you can always cut it with scissors while hes asleep.

That's because you haven't tried to kiss that face. If you had a husband I bet you would change your mind real fast.
