I read a memoir of a transwoman. someone born as a boy, but inside thought of themselves as female. When this person reached their 50s they decided to have surgery so that their outside would pass as female too and be more what they thought they should be. It cost $30000 and they had to go overseas for the surgery, take estrogen, block their testoterone, get facial surgery and hair transplants, and then dress as female, including buying things like shoes, stockings and makeup.

But they still sounded male and didnt change their name to a more feminine name. Now this person was married and had a wife, and came out to her and her wife was like ok, good for you (they didnt have any children) so they stayed married now as two women.
when the transwoman went to a pub, she got hit on and ogled by some males and for the first time realised how uncomfortable and degraded that made her feel.

welcome to the club, fellow female.

I think as long as we are not veering into trans territory, there is some flexibility in how men and women behave, wear, etc. I think it is people who despise the sex they are born into, they decide to be trans (in alls in various forms ranging from crossdressing to full surgery). Nowadays it is acceptable for women to wear men's clothing style such as pants and jackets but still come across as feminine. In past times and even now, men have worn non-pants such as kilts, robes, vesti wraps, etc.

I think in marriage, there is more opportunity to practice gender roles. However, for the singles, the person kind of has to assume both roles. For ex, a single man has to cook and care for his home, which are considered women's duties. A single woman to be in charge of her finances.

Disregarding issues of sex changes, same sex relations etc, to me the rest of what you have written depends very much on personal circumstances.

Yes, as a single person, you are a Jill or Jack of all trades. But in any kind of group (partnership) scenario, it's more about directing the square-peg talents of the individuals that form the group, into square holes. Thus we deal with the issues and tasks confronting the group with the best of the resources at hand, making sure that no one person within the group is being asked to do something they aren't equipped to do, and at the same time being careful that none are being overworked.

There would be some ladies, as there are men, that are spendthrifty.... no doubt you would agree that they'd be the last ones you would want to take care of any finances.

But I agree with your inference, that as a norm God has ordained that women make the best mothers and home makers, and to do that properly they need to be home based, making sure that the home is in good order and that the bills are paid, and that they are available to provide nurturing input to their children.

The world has pretty well cruelled God's order for marriages and family. as also some elements in man's church (that claim to be Christian), have done. With God's love for children being what it is, it makes one wonder how long He will let such continue.

homemakers is a bit of a misnomer to say women are the best at it because its actually really the men who BUILD the homes and do a lot of the maintenance, and they need to be skilled at that too.

Though Ive seen some shoddy DIY home making.

There's a difference between a house maker, and a home maker. I may not have built, or own the house I dwell in, but it is my home. 🙂

I wouldn't call her/him a female, I'd call him/her an abhorrence, and an insult to women. The Lord God would be disgusted.

oh ok
I'd just say they were confused. A lot of people now self-identify as non-binary meaning neither male nor female.

When animals change gender they are either one or the other or they are hermaphrodites.
Fish do this I know for a fact that all snapper are born female and then change to be male after a certain length of time. Its not some freak of nature, its part of nature.

I dont think I'd call a fish an abhorence, if this is just what they do. But unlike humans they dont pay $30000 to change gender.

Though some people do pay $30000 just to have a baby, they do it by IVF eg test tube. I wonder if they get called abhorences as well.

I am not sure what to think about transgender if you think you are born in the wrong body. People call it body dysmorphia, but then people can be born male and not like their own body even though its male eg they not tall enough, big enough or muscly. They'll shave off their beards.

Just as females beat themselves up for not having perfect female bodies. Thats is why some go for botox and breast implants, hair extensions, IPL, fake nails, go on extreme diets etc.

If you read through scripture, and collate a true view on God's expectations of his human creation, then you will see that what I have said is in accord with that. Anyone that claims otherwise has the spirit of the anti-Christ confusing them.

not really, the word abhorence isnt in the Bible

I would just say its the spirit of confusion

In the book of Acts there was one demon that was speaking as a HE in a girls body. They'd be afflicted or oppressed. Though a lot of people dont really know how to cast out demons. You cant really do it by surgery...its not how God works, as Hes not concerned with the flesh.

In Old Testament times it was the thing, males were circumcised. But because of Jesus the ENTIRE body was put to death on the cross and hearts got circumcised instead.

People overly concerned with the flesh and our earthly containers havent yet grasped this I suppose. When Paul wrote there is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female slave or free, all are one in Christ Jesus. He was kinda meaning our gender identity didnt matter, and our ethnicity didnt matter nor our job status (or even marital status) but people stilll cling to these things....instead of their identity in Christ.

Well, yes, but I think it would be wrong to suggest God has done away with gender, and made His original creativity, design and engineering redundant. That would be putting a context to Paul's statement that he would not have meant. Also, Paul, using gender terms, said that he would never allow a woman to teach a man... he of course was referring to a woman attempting to teach a man, or group of men, or a group of men and women, scripture. That would be abhorrent to God. As a rule, let the women teach the women, and men teach the men, and a pastor and his wife teach and encourage those in their charge about matters regarding Christian lifestyle, as influenced from a scriptural perspective. I'm not saying that men can't learn from women, and vice versa, of course they can.

It seems to me that a feminist-like phylosophy has crept into parts of the church and adversely influenced how the church is to operate. The world will chop and change to work out its own modus operandi, but as far as we Christians are concerned, we have to defer to God's modus operandi, we don't get to change that to suit our or the world's feelings, and of course it would be downright foolish and insulting to attempt to modernise God.

mm I think things have come a long way since adam and eve (and they fell pretty soon after creation) and also because of imbalances in populations (in some countries, girls are put to death, in others, its only boys) things arent ever going to be as equal as anyone would like.

Jesus went so far as to raise up women and children to be treated as human beings, which in the past they werent, often seen as no better than animals (and sometimes animals were treated better. ) For a patriarchal society as the israelites were...it was a huge step.

Being female in jewish orthodoxy is actually pretty tough. Boys get a bar mitsvah, they are recognised as men. Girls just get a token bats mitsvah otherwise theyd really have nothing to recongise that they could have any say in anything they ever did, unable to inherit land, and without a husband or children they were destitute, the only occupations open to them being prostitution or gleaning the fields. They were also not allowed to go to school and learn Torah...this was seen as preserve of boys.

Wait, what? How did we go from transgender to women preachers?

One of them is quite alright... unless you wrench Bible verses out of context to try to support your misogyny.

These are:

abhor
abhorred
abhorrest
abhorreth
abhorring
Yes. And whether the word is mentioned in scripture or not, and indeed it is (see below), we know that homosexuality, lesbianism, transgender etc acts are trangressions against God's order, and there is no changing in Him. He is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Isaiah 66 verse 24 NASB 95
"Then they will go forth and look
On the corpses of the men
Who have transgressed against Me.
For their worm will not die
And their fire will not be quenched;
And they will be an abhorrence to all mankind.”

It's worth mentioning that modern Jewish orthodoxy isn't the same as Israel Biblically. If you look at the book of Ruth, it seems that women could own property in their own right. Mary - Jesus' mother - quoted a lot of Scripture in her song of praise. Women were obviously being taught the Scriptures somehow in many instances. (Which is what God commanded)

we know that homosexuality, lesbianism, transgender etc acts are trangressions against God's order
And, if you look up those verses, you will see the word 'abomination' used...

(because, that is what God calls that type of thing that is not 'natural' - according to His 'order')

No, just quoting Paul, and he said imitate him, because he is imitating Jesus!
