It's vivid in your mind because you're projecting. You're seeing something you want to exist and when you see something that seems to confirm it you believe it.

For example, you believe in the pre-trib rapture and want that to be true. You're viewing the Bible through a kind of lens rather than just letting the Bible speak for itself. That can be difficult to overcome after decades of conditioning so I understand. None of us are perfect, but do try to resist the temptation to reject the overwhelming evidence against your false pre-trib doctrine.

It's better to be wrong and correct it than to know you're wrong and keep a false narrative going just to score fake internet points with your pre-trib buddies. You have your reward from your constituents for straying true to what you believe, but your reward won't be praise from God for being a champion of truth.
Yeah
Who da thought a parable about a bride and groom had anything to do with a bride being taken by a groom.

Since the literal verses say the end comes immediately after Christ' coming--
One of the verses you are alluding to is 1 Corinthians 15:24's "THEN the end..." (note: in the context of a passage showing a LISTING of several things taking [and having already taken] place).

I would direct the readers to my posts about how this Greek word "then" is "G1534 - eita" (distinct from the Greek word "then [G5119 - tote]").

The word in this verse (1Cor15:24, "then [eita]") is a SEQUENCE word ONLY, with NO TIME ELEMENT attached to it.

The LISTING in this immediate context has other items which take place at least [some-]2000 years apart (see Christ's resurrection in v.20).
Therefore, there is NO problem at all with the final two items in this LISTING (v.23-end and v.24a) also to take place 1000 years apart.

The "amill-teachings" that this verse is saying "Then IMMEDIATELY the end" is not biblically correct. This word is not "then [G5119 - tote]" (as is used in Matt24:14, for example; and there it is "kai tote" ['and then']).

Again, with this word "then [G1534 - eita]," there is NO TIME ELEMENT attached to it; Thus (in view of this wider LISTING context) it is saying, "Then SEQUENTIALLY the end" (not "Then IMMEDIATELY the end...").

[note to readers: the word "comes/cometh/will come" is not in this text (v.24a)... not that this makes any difference to the point being made in this post]

No, they will be very ready.

Tell us, what major prophetic event is Amill waiting for?
1) The falling away
2) Anti-christ revealed
3) The tribulation
4) Christ's Second Coming
5) The Judgment
6) The destruction of unbelievers and the world
7) The new heavens and new earth where 'only righteousness dwells. God will not dwell with US and we with him into eternity.

. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’ 30At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.… Matthew 23

"Truth is ever to be found in simplicity and not in the multiplicity of things." --Sir Isaac Newton

And I'll add to that SCRIPTURE instead of a bunch of definitions--all words must be taken in the context they are given--and if it can be read plainly than I suggest doing so and not adding confusion to what is already made clear. Do you think the new testament believers went around defining each and every word of scripture and the letters? Some things benefit from learning about the original greek, but in the matter you're doing it just makes for confusion

^ It is simple.

The "amill-teachings" that this verse is saying "then IMMEDIATELY the end" is not biblically correct.

The Greek word for "then" in THIS verse does not carry that meaning.

["Amill-teachings" complicate numerous passages by completely disregarding all timing issues and pertinent chronology issues in Scripture]

Correction God will dwell with us,

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God."--Revelation 21:3

Amil's 'complicating things'? You've got to be kidding me.

Immediately means immediately. Period. You are attempting to change the meanings to fit your narrative--why do people not want to believe what the bible clearly and plainly says?

ALL of these bible translation use the word immediately--if it were to mean something other than immediately than some of the translations would be different but they are not:

New International Version
“Immediately after the distress of those days “’the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

There is no valid reason to tell people virgins with an S means it is plural. Everyone already knows what the S means.
Yet there are many readers (and a few posters) who incorrectly believe the "10 Virgins" or even just the "5 [wise] Virgins" is who Jesus is coming to "MARRY". But this is not the case.

(though the "5 wise Virgins" are indeed SAVED persons, who will ENTER the earthly MK age as "still-living" persons at the point in time of Christ's "RETURN" to the earth Rev19... [that is, in their mortal bodies]; "when he will RETURN FROM the wedding"... THEN the meal [G347] Lk12:36-37,38,40,42-44 and its parallel [Matt24:43-51]... and other passages...)

The point is, the purpose of this passage is not who He is "MARRYING"

["plural virgins"... are NOT who the singular "Bridegroom" is coming to "MARRY"--That is so simple that my 5 year olds have understood this... but many ppl do not (Matt25:1-13 and its parallels)]

Why not be direct about it? Just say the bridegroom isn't marrying more than one virgin rather then go on about how virgins with an S is plural? That isn't the best way to communicate your point.

In the parable the bridegroom is going to marry multiple virgins. The practice is found in the OT. In Jewish wedding tradition, the bridegroom does come at an unexpected time for the one or ones he is going to marry. He doesn't come to get bridemaids.

Well, I can tell you one thing, you have left out Israel, and that makes a profound impact on God!

The reason for His Second Coming is Israel, to save them from the world who has joined the anti-christ in ridding this world of God's chosen people. You can see from scripture how God feels about this.
i never left them out at all, since we were only covering who the Israel of God is according to the Eternal Spirit of God.

The earth bound Jews will be spared at the LORD' Second Coming - Matt 23:37

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling! Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you that you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

Question
Is Revelation 20 suppose to be interpreted literally or symbolically? What about the 1000 years?
Answer
There are many views of the millennium, or thousand-year period (Rev. 20:1-6). The three most prominent are Pre-Millennialism (Pre-Mill); Post-Millennialism (Post-Mill); and Amillennialism (A-Mill). In general, Pre-Millennialism believes the millennium begins after the Second Coming of Christ. In Post-Mill (meaning, "after the millennium"), the assertion made is that the millennium occurs toward the end of the church age. In the A-Mill, view we assert that the millennium was: (1) inaugurated in Christ's life, death, resurrection and ascension; (2) continues through the church age; and (3) then is consummated at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Those in the Pre-Mill camp normally look at Revelation and take it literally. However, can a chain literally hold the Devil? (Rev. 20:1). What kind of lock or seal is John referring too? Of course, we should also ask what is a Dragon as well? Is this to be literally interpreted too? Apparently not, as the Apostle John also refers to him as "that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan" (Rev. 20:2). In other words, John sees the Dragon as the serpent in the Garden (Gen. 3:1), who is the equivalent of the Devil or Satan. So, John himself says he is using the word symbolically. Since this is the case, then shouldn't 1,000 years be interpreted symbolically too?

The book of Revelation contains multiple visions. Since this is the case, the Apocalypse uses a lot of symbolism. For instance:
(to see list of symbols click on the article link at the end--could not post all because of word count limit)
While the list above is not by any means exhaustive, every chapter of the book of Revelation contains symbolism; this includes Revelation 20. So, one applying literal interpretation methods will necessarily misinterpret the entire book.

1,000 years should also be interpreted symbolically. There are many reasons for this: (1) the figurative use of numbers in the Apocalypse (Rev. 5:11; 7:4-9; 9:16; 14:1; 21:16); (2) the figurative use of other terms (chain, abyss, dragon, serpent, locked, sealed, etc.) in Revelation 20; (3) the figurative use of 1000 in the Old Testament (Deut. 1:1-11; 7:9; 32:30; Josh. 23:10; Job 9:3; 33:23; Pss. 50:10; 68:17; 84:10; Eccl. 6:6; Song 4:4; Isa. 7:23; Isa. 30:17; and especially 1 Chron. 16:15-17 = Psa. 105:8-10, where God's "covenant forever" and "everlasting covenant" are equated with "the word which He commanded to a thousand generations"). See Greg Beale in The Book of Revelation (The New International Greek Testament Commentary, Eerdmans).

Revelation ch20 does not give itself to symbolic form and is literal and the evidence it is literal i from Scripture Itself.

A.) This is the emphasis: LITERAL ORDER of EVENTS
Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father,
when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

1 Cor 15:20-26

B.) LITERAL = His Second Coming has not yet occurred - therefore the Thousand Year Period has not yet occurred.
Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands.
And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years were complete.
This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection!
The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ,
and will reign with Him for a thousand years. Revelation 20:5-6

C.) LITERAL = After the Thousand Years have expired - Revelation 20:7-8

When the thousand years are complete, Satan will be released from his prison, and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to assemble them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the seashore.

D.) LITERAL = The last enemy, Death, will be finally destroyed - Revelation 20:11-15
Then I saw a great white throne and the One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne.
And there were open books, and one of them was the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds.

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Here's a short explanation:

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
there will be no end,

on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.

this prophecy indicates that the Kingdom is established at the incarnation and it is established 'from this time forth and forevermore'.

A literal 1000 years has no meaning when we consider that Christ's kingdom has no end. Hence the 1000 years of Rev 20 should be understood in the same manner that we understand that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Doesn't he own them all?

Except that verse mentions peace and there has been no peace so, no, Christ is not ruling this Earth currently. Christ said satan would be ruler of World after he left to heaven and that's what we currently see in this foul, evil world. There will be peace for a literal thousand years and a brief rebellion that is quickly squashed by God, judgement and then an eternity of peace with a literal and physical kingdom upon the Earth.

This allows for the earth to repopulate during the 1000 year reign of Christ, where the post-trib view does not.
This makes no sense whatsoever.

You seem to be suggesting that - if there is 7 years between a 'rapture' and the 'Second Coming' (pre-trib view; separate events) - there will be people who "live through" to the Millenium - but that - if there is only [say] 7 minutes between those same two 'events' (post-trib view; same event) - no one will "live through" to the Millenium.

What??? o_O

What is the difference?

Whatever the view, the 'Second Coming' is the same with regard to what happens at that time - and, whoever will "live through" to the Millenium.

Only, in the post-trib view, the 'rapture' is part of the Second Coming - and, is the first thing to occur. (resurrection/rapture)

It is the 'event' reality of the Second Coming that people will-or-will-not "live through" to the Millenium.

It is identically the same for all views.

They did not have to - it was the original language - a different word was literally a different word - they knew the difference.

They did not have to interpret the language - only the meaning.

Immediately means immediately. Period.
Yes - but that is not where your interpretation fails.

Not everything following 'Immediately after' in Matthew 24:29 is included; rather, only what is in the rest of that verse.

The colon after 'shaken', followed by 'And then' at the start of verse 30, is the 'grammar of the language' separator.

Upon further study, you should discover that the description of the last part of verse 15 is aligned with the Trumpet Events and the Two Witnesses - the duration of which is a span of [at least] 3.5 years.

Even the return of Christ in verse 30 is not [actually] "Immediately after the tribulation of those days"...
