the word is apostacy = falling away

Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His words,
lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar.

i am sorry, i did not know you were an apostle - lolx 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

The REAL Apostle said:
But I will keep on doing what I am doing, in order to undercut those who want an opportunity to be regarded as our equals in the things of which they boast.
For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ.
Oh yea, come on with it David, show us how to degrade and punch under the belt like a good Christian!

We have more scripture for a pre-trib than you have for your theory! Why don't you explain for us Rev. 3:10? Tell us why Christ gave this to John to give to the Church.

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. -Revelation 3:10-13 (KJV)

Does this imply that the church is about to fly away and vanish? No. It means that those who have the seal of God in their foreheads and have abided in His Word, having unlocked all the Scriptures with the key of David, will not only not be tempted by Satan, but Christ also tells Satan not to touch a single hair on their heads. It is written. We Christian "bruisers" will be right here, with our feet firmly planted on the ground, marching around in full gospel armor and looking forward to the crown that awaits us. And the overcomers of the Philadelphia church will be given a new name because a wedding is about to take place, and the bride is always given a new name (the name of her husband, read verse 12 carefully).

Do you not believe scripture, Charlie? What is your interpretation of 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4? Please, Charlie, let’s not play games because the time is really short…

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

If you say that the word apostacy means the rapture you in fact are committing a grevious sin by changing what God said as the Serpent did in the Garden.

You are speaking against the words of our LORD = Matt 24:10

You are speaking against the words of the Apostle Paul = 2 Thess 2:1-5

You are speaking against the Holy Spirit = 1 Timothy 4:1

You are speaking against the Apostle John = 1 John 2:18-19

God said that in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. = Post #3,926

FOUR witnesses speak the TRUTH which you seek to adulterate.

Your in a very bad dark place Brother, assuming that you can change God's words to bow before an idol.

What if those witnesses are false witnesses, what then?

Me thinks I disagree and you are having a hard time dealing with that!

The "falling away" is the rapture/resurrection of the Church! That is what is "taken out of the way" in vs. 7. Then the anti-christ is revealed and the book of Rev begins to unfold.

It is the presence of the Church/ the true believers, and the presence of the Holy Spirit in the believers that hold back the darkness until the appointed time.

Fairly simple I think!

You are calling the LORD Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul, the Holy Spirit and the Apostle John false witnesses.

the LORD - "At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another," - Matt 24:10

Apostle Paul: " Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first AND the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 2 Thess 2:3

Holy Spirit: Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 1 Timothy 4:1

Apostle John: Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they departed that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. 1 John 2:18-19

Brother, those are the Scripture that details and bears Witness of Itself with no words added or taken away.

Listen, do you believe men or His Word?

The LORD loves you and so do i since you are my Brother in Christ - i will ask the Lord to bless your heart and mind to understand these things.

PEACE and Blessing to you for His Love never fails and His Truth bows to no man.

The same could be said of what you believe considering you can prove any of it!!! It's your interpretation and my interpretation, and I surly believe there is a better case for pre-trib!

So let's don't go there with the High and Almighty, Brother.

Hi!
the LORD - "At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another," - Matt 24:10
(I c what you did here..... )
Not sure what translation you are using, forced me to look at this verse and how other versions translated...

King James Bible
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Literal Standard Version
and then will many be stumbled, and they will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.

Translated as "stumbled" ?

In comparison this ^^^^^^ is not the same thing the Apostle Paul is speaking of:
"Apostle Paul: " Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first AND the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 2 Thess 2:3

Literal Standard Version
do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because if the departure may not come first, the man of lawlessness may [not] be revealed—the son of destruction,

there is a HUGE difference.....
God Bless...

I believe this to be an incorrect interpretation! Let me show you where the true argument concerning the differences between the pre-trib and post-trib camps lie.

Kenneth Wuest, a noted 20th century Greek scholar points out what the "falling away" that Paul spoke of truly meant and was interpreted before the KJV came along.

The "falling away" is a departure of the Church before the tribulation begins and then the Second Coming.
The falling away is the Apostasy, which is a departure from the Christian faith to the antichrist.

Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

7 churches are mentioned of the Christians in the first century yet pre-trib takes one line from one letter and uses it as if this one thing somehow proves the entire church will be raptured before the great tribulation. That's horribly bad exegesis.

The problems:

1. Obviously, it's only said about 1/7 of the churches so that isn't a pre-trib rapture of the whole church.

Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

2, The fact that tribulation is mentioned for one of the other churches further disproves any idea that the church won't face tribulation. ie: this verse cancels out the other verse. The truth is that neither is talking about the rapture or the great tribulation.

3. "keep thee from the hour of temptation" is not the same as "rapture you out of the world to avoid the great tribulation". This means to not fall for or accept the temptations offered like how Christ refused the temptations of satan.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to BEAR it.

One can escape something by being able to bear it. It is not a physical escape but a mental and spiritual one.

Do you drive an automobile a car or a truck or a suv or a sports car or a vehicle to work.
ALL the same friend as the point is you drove to work and just that phrase 'drove' covers all the basis for understanding.

Matt 24:10 , 2 Thess 2:3 , 1 Tim 4:1 and 1 John 2:18-19 are all saying the same thing with very slight differences in word usage but the SAME.

God is not obligated to us.
We are obligated to Him - to abide in His word.
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; John 8:31

Amplified Bible - Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed],

Contemporary English Version - But don't be fooled! People will rebel against God. Then before the Lord returns, the wicked one who is doomed to be destroyed will appear.

ISV - Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, for it will not come unless the rebellion takes place first and the man of sin, who is destined for destruction, is revealed.

NIV - Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

NLT - Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.

ESV - Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

BSB -Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness—the son of destruction—is revealed.

BLB - No one should deceive you in any way, because it is not until the apostasy shall have come first, and the man of lawlessness shall have been revealed--the son of destruction,

KJV - Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

NKJV - Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

NASB - No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

NASB 1995 - Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

NASB 1977 -Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

lol - i do not have a theory to prove.

God has spoken CLEAR as DAY on this - Believe Him for HE never said "Christ is coming pre-trib to rapture His Elect"

HE never said " Before the resurrection i will rapture My Saints"

HE never said "Before the Tribulation I will gather My Elect"

i have to go now - PEACE and will speak with you later
And He never said the Church is going through the tribulation! He never said it is the Church that is resurrected after the resurrection!

Be careful how you use "lol" when disagreeing with someone, Laura doesn't like it!
