Question: What are the vaccine hesitant looking for to convince them the vaccine is safe?

I told several family members that I would prefer to be more careful and wait for one or two years before getting the vaccine. They asked what would convince me it was safe or not safe.

1. I want to see if the birth rates in countries that have a high vaccination rate drops significantly.

2. I want to see if a significant number of athletes have to leave the sport due to myocarditis or some other issue.

3. I want to see if the death rate among the vaccinated climbs significantly compared to the unvaccinated.

These are three things they really cannot hide. They can provide alternate explanations and they can refuse to show you the data for vaccinated compared to unvaccinated, but there are ways to double check. There are countries like Israel that have a very high vaccination rate and there are countries like some countries in Africa which have a very low vaccination rate.

If I do not see 1, 2, or 3 a year from now it would go a long way to convincing me that the most pessimistic reports about this vaccine are not true. On the other hand if they are true I think we would definitely see 1, 2 and 3.

I think it goes unsaid that 2 years from now we may realize the jab is unnecessary. Or if they have to get a booster every six months you could decided it isn't worth going down that road.

But if you are debating with people who are vaccinated it is a very powerful argument, you aren't being unreasonable, and it wakes them up to actually pay attention to these things. When they see some athlete collapsing, or see a story that birth rates are down, it could help wake them up.

Agreed. 2 years will be enough to know if our most paranoid thoughts are true, but you really need 12 years to see all the possible long term effects

One side is saying everything they can to promote the vaccine and the other side is saying everything they can to undermine the vaccine. There's so much misinformation swirling around out there that there isn't a high degree of confidence anyone can make about the covid-19 vaccine safety.

At this point it's probably better to just pray for God's will and then cast lots to discern whether or not one should take the vaccine. I have heard people take it and not have any issues and I have heard people take it and say they had issues that there possibly related. So the information that abounds about vaccine side-effects isn't exactly consistent, but that doesn't confirm or deny anything; it just stinks.💩

I figure it is between people and what they feel led to do. I personally do not feel led to get one vaccine after another. Years ago I got the flu vaccine for work. It made me deathly sick for 2 weeks. During which never got pay for.
I have had covid and it was horrible,but God brought me thru. I prayed about all of this for myself and God laid it on my heart not too. He has told us 365 times in the bible do not fear. So for these reasons is why I do not feel led to get the vaccine.But will not push my views on anyone. Figure between you and God.
