You denied that you can be sinless and perfect.
No; I affirmed that we can be perfect; while it is clear from the writings of the apostle John that we cannot be sinless (1 John 1:8).
You denied that you can be sinless and perfect.
The revealed written Word of God did. You did not differentiate to specify before...Jesus the WORD did not say any of these things.
See Romans 6:6 and Colossians 2:11 (in the kjv preferably; but the NLT is also good).Because fallen man cannot keep His eyes on Christ 24/7 without end. We are fallen man.
This fallen body puts on perfection in real time at the resurrection.
Sin is rendered dead but still present, we still have the fallen sin nature.
Once; when I came to the knowledge of the truth, I knew then that everything that I believed before was not the truth. So how many times in your life ALREADY did you believe
what you believed was the truth and found out later you were deceived?
How many?
I do not believe you. It has been more times than you can recall.Once; when I came to the knowledge of the truth, I knew then that everything that I believed before was not the truth.
The reality is that I know that i know that I know that I have the truth now; and previous to knowing the truth I did not think that I had the truth. I considered that I merely had opinions about a lot of issues.I do not believe you. It has been more times than you can recall.
And you know it.
You don't know that you don't know that what you believe is mostly incorrect. The reality is that I know that i know that I know that I have the truth now; and previous to knowing the truth I did not think that I had the truth. I considered that I merely had opinions about a lot of issues.
Those who accept my doctrine have changed lives. You don't know that you don't know that what you believe is mostly incorrect.
Like I said keep teaching your theology to all your brethren. We think it is wonderful.
The majority of the Christian world already believes as you.
Look at them and their lives?
A picture is worth a 1000 words.
I am 67 years old I walk the streets and speak to Christians everyday rebuking them for their sins. Those who accept my doctrine have changed lives.
What I preach is not the same as what is commonly accepted in the church today, among those who have rotten fruit.
So, whatever happened to you?I am 67 years old I walk the streets and speak to Christians everyday rebuking them for their sins.
I did tent revivals back in the late 80's. I know the truth about the lot of you.
I know to the letter what you believe and your ever day behavior.
I know where you have been and where you are going.
I am above you in the Lord. So, whatever happened to you?
Did you fall from grace?
Why aren't you doing tent revivals any more?
I'm afraid that you are going to turn more people away from the faith by going about it that way.I am 67 years old I walk the streets and speak to Christians everyday rebuking them for their sins.
I am above you in the Lord.
You are all talk and no walk.
I see your kind every day.
See Romans 6:6 and Colossians 2:11 (in the kjv preferably; but the NLT is also good).
Also, compare 1 John 1:5 and 1 John 3:5 to 1 John 5:20, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Corinthians 1:30, and 1 Peter 5:14.
You are all talk and no walk.
I see your kind every day.
There's no comparing to be done on this. John is not telling us "we don't sin" He is telling us not to "practice sin."
Sin is not just in the actual actions of doing, sin is also in the thought pattern of fallen man.
Have you ever seen a drop dead gorgeous woman walking wherever in her heels, with her blouse busted open and skirt up to her butt?
Jesus said if you lust after her in your mind, you have sinned. Just for a split second you have that impure thought because of her beauty, you have sinned the same sin as actually having sex with her, which is fornication.
Have you ever been angry with someone and found later that you were wrong in your anger, well, according to Jesus you have sinned.
It goes on and on, Jesus has shown us what fallen man really is. He has shown us that our righteousness is impossible in any form. We are at the mercy of God, but thank God He has mercy on us and provides us with that perfect righteousness through Christ.
If you knew the truth you would knowI'm afraid that you are going to turn more people away from the faith by going about it that way.
You need to bring doctrine to bear on their lives that will show them that their sins will put them in the lake of fire (such as what we find in Matthew 13:41-42, 13:49-50).
How do you know what their sins are? Do you watch them live their lives?
You would do better to endeavor at living a holy life in your own sphere of influence.
If you were free from sin you would not commit sin.I am much more walk than I am talk.
Jesus has set me free from sin (John 8:31-36, Romans 6).
Do you have a video camera by which you spy on me every day?
If you did, you would see that I am more walk than I am talk.
But because you do not see my life, you have no capacity to judge.
The other day I saw a beautiful woman and appreciated her beauty. She even looked back at me. But I don't think that I lusted after her. If I had, it would have culminated in a specific action; the practice of which the Lord has now delivered me from as a former addiction in my life.
I generally don't get angry with people.
But even if I did, it is not necessarily always a sin to get angry (Ephesians 4:26).
I know that I have sinned and that I need forgiveness for that; and that if I were to reject Christ now, I would lose the forgiveness that I have for sins that I have committed in the past.
However, I don't believe that I am obligated to obey the flesh (see Romans 8:12 (kjv, NLT)).
So, I don't have to sin.
I think that this is also what John may have been saying in 1 John 3:9 (kjv), in hyperbollic terms..
