One of my supervisors is rude, obnoxious and miserable. Could we all pray that he finds peace in his heart?

He is rude, shoves his colleagues, barks at people and has no manners at all. Nobody at work likes him, and I fear he is pushing people too far and that something bad might befall him. I invite you in joining me in prayer that he may find some joy in his life and that others will forgive him and maybe even value him.

He is rude, shoves his colleagues, barks at people and has no manners at all. Nobody at work likes him, and I fear he is pushing people too far and that something bad might befall him. I invite you in joining me in prayer that he may find some joy in his life and that others will forgive him and maybe even value him.
I'll offer a different perspective as to not that I wish to limit prayer to changing others but that it is often how we respond to such a toxic environment that can be a great influence. Joseph was accused of trying to sleep with Potiphar's
wife and thrown into prison. But notice how Joseph responded.

But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. 22 So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. 23 The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.

Joseph kept on doing what was right in the Lord's eyes and even in prison he prospered.

No. He's been employed for two years, I really feel something would have been done already. I'm not certain anything would be done.
However unlike Joseph, in most countries you have employee rights and he may be violating those rights. If so you may can see the EEO, a union (if they are worth a dang), or legal counseling.

I appreciate that, however, I'll most likely leave if he doesn't improve. He's a bitter, insecure, little man. He tries to push around much stronger and more respectable men and they've started to push back. His way of behaving is backfiring.

In short...he's not worth it. I will most likely be moving onto another job with another month, however I always feel I should stick out certain difficult circumstances. God has granted me strength of character and He is always teaching me.

I encourage you to report him. Be that person who does something, so that he does not continue to hurt others.

I appreciate that. However, a lot of the issue with him is his attitude...there's not much that can be done, as he's not really crossing a line by being unfriendly.

"Shoves his colleagues" goes way beyond "being unfriendly."

Have you tried talking to your supervisor about his issues. Maybe you and others should try asking him is he's ok, you never know what a person is going through

Well funnily enough, we had a staff meeting. His name came up frequently...and people didn't have positive things to say about him. Someone who knew him better did talk to him, and urged him to 'bit his tongue'. Our work is stressful for all of us, but we need to all stay postive to function as a team and to give our best levels of customer service.

That's what I'm assuming, and how do you stay positive when you clearly stating a negative situation? Rude, obnoxious, etc are some of the negatives that you mention. How do you stay positive in a situation like that?

There's not much that can be done about someone not being especially friendly. I imagine his job is the only thing that is giving him any sense of self-worth, and I think management know he won't be able to work anywhere else, so he's a 'useful idiot', if you like.
