I have met all kinds of Redheads..some of them wild, and without morals. Than some that were the most sweetest, gentle, and helpful spirits. That is like Blondes, my daughter is a blonde. She states that "Blonde is not a hair color, it is a state of mind!"..lol She is right, as I have seen true Kelly Bundy people, and they were not blonde! I really thought Kelly Bundy was a made up personality, and than God surprised me!

I noticed on a site, where people that claimed to be Christians was chastising people with red hair. Claiming that redheads have no soul, and was hated by God...What is the deal with this? As from what I have witnessed, redheads are no less soul less than any other hair color..Is there scripture that points these things to be true? Will you please show me? If people are in their minds being taught this, no wonder why my life has not gone well! Thank you in advance!
You're sure this was a serious claim...? I've only heard the "gingers have no soul" thing uttered as a joke.

I read somewhere that the idea that people with red hair were evil goes back to the middle ages and possibly beyond that.
It was believed by some that Judas had red hair. There is no biblical reason as far as I know. It is just a superstition.
In Victorian Britain women with red hair were not considered socially acceptable in some circles. One reason the Pre Raphaelites paintings were not received well at first was because Elizabeth Sidall, Rossetti's model and later wife had red hair.

Neither the word 'redhead' nor the words 'red hair' together are found in the Bible or in the Apochrypha.

Therefore this is nonsense regardless where it came from.

Show the verse. I do not recall having ever read this. Being born with red hair, I think I would have noticed. Until you can show it, I think the thread should be disregarded.

There are people who delight in throwing out ideas that are obviously (to most) completely ridiculous. COVID conspiracy theories and flat earthers are typical examples. Common sense, observation and God's word confirms that redheads are no different from anyone else.

It has long been believed by some that King David was a redhead. Red hair is as common among Jews as the rest of the population. Just remember that it is man that looks on the outward appearance. God looks at the heart.

It is probably because Esau had red hair and Jacob the younger brother was blessed which Jacob's name was changed to Israel for the 12 tribes came from him.

But it does not matter your hair color everybody is the same and God said what makes you to differ from another person and if you think you are something when you are nothing you deceive yourself.

Everybody has a soul.

It is like people that think that the mark that God gave Cain was black skin which is not true.

My Grandma was Catholic and believed there was something wrong with my Dad because he was left handed and they are prone to rebellion and not doing right which they call it the devil's hand which must of been a superstition years ago because the majority of people were right handed.

But how many people that are right handed reject the Gospel and reject the Bible and how many do wrong which we know many right handed people reject the truth and do wrong.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and the Bible says there is none that does good, no, not one.

God is no respecter of persons so it does not matter your physical makeup we are all the same and all have a soul and all have a chance at salvation.

What is strange is that my Grandma believed that superstition about the left hand in the 20th century.

Let your English teacher teach English, not Bible. He or she is ignorant.

The Biblical term is usually "ruddy"....

Adam, Edom, David, (I'm drawing a blank on the left handed Judge a Benjamite....Ehud?) and others were. It's a slight reddish tinge to the Israelites semetic hair....not as flaming as the Irish have but it still persists but is highly uncommon.

Just one of those things that isn't commonly focused on in scripture.

By and large most people in the world have dark colored hair. From Asian, Semetic, Arabian, Africa, and South America....it isn't until you get to Europe that the predominant hair color changes....and North America being immigrants from Europe.

So obviously it's just a way to tease and poke fun at the Irish. The Irish have been characterized by being "ruffians" and alcoholics hundreds of years.... especially after they had a large migration to the USA. They suffered persecution for their nationality just like every European group and other nationalities that has immigrated to America. From the Italians to the Mexicans and all points in between...it's just a leftover from a bygone era.

Of course "gingers" have a soul. You don't have any faith in God if you believe that.
But as someone who pokes fun at everyone including himself...it's still fun.

I've never heard this. It sounds like either a now-obscure superstition from the past or a made-up tale to ridicule Christians.
