That is a misrepresentation of what Tucker "confessed". He did not confess to openly spreading false information on his TV show.

However, we do know that the NY Times and WAPO have been exposed numerous times for openly spreading false information. Just take the Hunter Biden laptop as only one example and all of the mainstream media were guilty. Not merely of suppressing the story but more importantly of spreading lies concerning the story.

At this point the number of lies spread by CNN and MSNBC are just too numerous to count, but of course the one about Antifa protests being "mostly peaceful" as the city burns in the background has become iconic.

I agree with the main point that once you know one of these "trusted news sources" is lying to you intentionally (like the NY Times did when they portrayed some low level hack in a cubicle across town as a high level official in Trump's cabinet, or when Project Veritas exposed CNN as nothing more than the propaganda wing for the Biden reelection team) at that point you stop listening to them.

I have stopped listening to Fauci, he is a liar. I have crossed NY Times, WAPO, CNN and MSNBC off my list as well. I am extremely wary of FOX news but will listen to Tucker.

One other point should be made, who says who is "mainstream media"? If it is based on ratings then Tucker Carlson is mainstream while Brian Stelter, Chris Cuomo, Rachel Maddow and Joy Behar are not. As the ratings take a bath it will be hard to justify considering CNN and MSNBC as anything more than left wing propaganda sites. I suspect the only thing propping these companies up is money from Tech giants like Facebook.

Yes, I saw the original airing of this. I did get the impression there is pressure from the TV station to toe their corporate line. I also suspect that this was a wink, wink at why he doesn't cover certain stories, because he feels he would be forced to lie if he did. Many conservatives complain about Tucker not covering certain stories.

I used to work for the School but decided to retire when they mandated the vaccine. I considered staying until the 24th so I could speak strongly against it. However, if you were not vaccinated on the first day of school you would be classified as "non compliant". This told me that to choose that path would have been contrary to the Bible's charge that we are to be subject to the authorities. Sovereignly I was interviewed by the TV during the recent protest in NYC and everyone at my school saw that. So I was able to make a very strong statement to all teachers and students (I had also sent a letter to everyone when I retired) and I did it while being subject because I was retired and no longer worked for the DOE.

We recently saw General Milly go behind the President of the US to promise China he would give them an advance warning if the US were to attack! That is conspiracy to commit treason. It is lawless. If he objected to the President he could resign, but as long as he is in that position he needs to be subject to the president.

Tucker is in the same position and faced with the same issue. He has the highest rated TV news show in the US. That is very influential and helpful at getting out the truth. He could resign in protest and start a new show on his own or he can stay there and stay within whatever boundaries they establish. As a publisher Fox has the right to determine what does and what does not go on the air, they will be held liable for whatever goes on so that is reasonable (unlike the Tech giants who have an exemption).
