The world pulls us one way and scripture tells us the world is opposed to God. How can we tell what is of God and what is of the world? The world gives us our entertainment, our livelihood, our luxuries. Surely God wants us to choose from all this what is of God, how can we choose within God's will?
Members of the church of the apostles chose as a group. They chose to live simply and not to accept the entertainments of the world. Were they wrong and today's church right?
“
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto
them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but
even their mind and conscience is defiled.”
Titus 1:15
the gospel is what purifies our conscience and mind it imparts the right judgement to our soul and spirit within that’s what I believe anyways so what I mean is if we keep this commandment within our mind as the truth
“But I say unto you,
That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
Matthew 5:28 KJV
it becomes purifier of the true issue that makes us unclean and corrupt
“For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh, and
the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and
the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
1 John 2:16-17 KJV
so what I mean is this heart doesn’t ever become pure in this kind of world filled with lists and temptations everywhere no matter what if we don’t purify this
“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
Mark 7:21-23 KJV
Satan corrupted man in that place infiltrating our heart and mind . That’s us the world pulls us on the wrong direction we are sinners at our core . The gospel doctrine addresses what’s in us in our heart that makes us impure
“For
the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and
is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 KJV
That’s why his teachings are aimed at our internal issues lust, pride, unforgiveness and grudge bearing , wrath and revenge , greed and idolatry ect
the issue is. Ot the thkngs in the world it’s the hearts of people in the world constantly pulled into those sinful lists and desires and perversions excess and possessions vanity
if we have the gospel in us ot is going to make our lists die out as we carry it in our faith and patience , pride is severed in the presence of God , grudges are shattered by his commandment of forgiveness and mercy for the merciful and forgiving we learn not to look at others with an umpire heart and intent knowing Christ lives within us and we have his circumcision to remove those evils from our heart
so then a man with a pure heart , he is going to drink a glass of wine with dinner, but a man full of list for excess is going to have poor jidgement and drink a bottle or three .
it isn’t the wine that’s bad or good , it is the person and how they use it because of what shape thier heart is in
our issue is baked in through the ages , the gospel is the two edged sword to t corrects our heart and cuts away what doesn’t belong
so what changes is that push and pull because his right judgements become part of our hearts and the wrong lists and things are cut away by the same doctrines that are internal
“ adultery of The heart, pride , self righteousness , greed , envy unforgiveness ect
the internal issues that made us sinners needs to be put to the cross of the gospel doctrines and then our hearts can be raised up in the gospel doctrine for Thy e born again and having our hearts created in his will Thy at lasts forever as the lists of the world have been crucified through hearing and believing his teachings
They are soirit meant to go into our faith and belief and remain there until they cut away the flesh
