Matthew 28
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost
What's the name? See all detailed water baptisms. (Acts 2:38-41, 8:12-18, 10:44-48, 19:1-6, 22:16)
Name of WHO? The verse is clear enough. IN THE NAME OF:

The Father
The Son
The Holy Spirit

So, whose name are you asking about?

According to this verse, you'd better be baptized in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Spirit.

So, what is the name of the Father? And what is the name of the Holy Spirit?

Do you know?

If you do not know, then give up on your claim about naming Jesus for baptism.

Wansvic god honers motive:Besides we use a different sounds they did[ lord Jesus] when it was adoni Yashua or something like that,,,thus r we not pleasing to god because we did not utter the right sounds? It's not even what u know!Rather who knows u.
I agree all is lost if the Lord Jesus does not know us.

Brother, this is all you need.
Acts 16:31
“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Exactly.

So if you don't mind I would just like say that i am not actually talking about me.
I am talking about a scenario in order to solicit a response.
I am trying to put something in the 3rd person (if that's correct)

Side note although funny but very sad.

I was actually sprinkled in the Anglican church, but I had to make a true conffesion of faith to be sprinkled.

Sad note the sub vicar would recommend I should not be sprinkled because of something I did in his youth group.

Anyway the vicar disagreed and I was sprinkled/baptised.
Made the full confession of faith.

When I got involved in a baptist church I was asked if I was baptised.
I said yes, when I told them per the Anglican baptism they said it's not baptism and that I needed to be fully immersed.

I was gutted thinking I was not saved, but to be fair they did not say I wasn't and my confession is what's saves me but immersed is proper baptism.

Jesus gave that command to his apostles to baptize in the name of... The apostles obeyed His command by baptizing everyone in that name. And that name is the Lord Jesus Christ. A list of every detailed water baptism speaks to this truth: (Acts 2:38-41, 8:12-18, 10:44-48, 19:1-6, 22:16)

Matthew 28:19
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

ok i see what their saying but i think it's silly argument .be "baptized in Jesus name" Acts 2:38 & Acts 8:12 Galatians 3:27 so their saying u can't say father or holy spirit in baptism silly
Thank you for actually examining the scriptures. Many don't know that the forerunners of the Roman Catholic Church modified the way water baptisms were to be performed. This occurred in 325 A.D. Many churches are following a manmade tradition not what Jesus commanded in the word. As seen by how the apostles water baptized people. There is salvation in no other, and no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

All rubbish. You don't need to be sprinkled (I was in the Catholic religion), or immersed (I was as an adult). Baptism saves nobody. Not a one. And, making a confession of faith, well, anyone can say those words. It is irrelevant.

What has saved you is your faith in the One whom God has sent. Yeshua.

And we are all hoping that one day you are saved.

Baptism is an outward sign of an inner transformation. Baptism is reminiscent of the mikvah, a cleansing bath.

Baptism is important but it doesn't save us. Only one thing does that.
And it can only be done if God calls us to his good news.

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

No part of this argument makes sense or is in the least bit useful.
I would recommend praying about whether this is in fact useful. Think about it. Why does the biblical record show everyone being water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus if there is no significance to it.

The bible says that truth will always be confirmed by 2-3 witnesses in the word.

I like 2 remind everyone that it is not the utterance of the correct sound but the motive that counts,,,,as the sons of Sceva found out acts 19:13-16

I believe the whole counsel of God, not just a few passages that make me feel like I'm doing the right thing so that God gives me the thumbs up. (y)

That's mean and arrogant.

Who reads mean arrogance and says, I want to find the way to what makes someone mean and arrogant so that I can be like that too?

No. I just checked the NIV and says the same thing.

Do you know of a translation that doesn't say this?
Some of the early text such as some of the Latin text and some others but this causes a stumbling block to many.Remember motive please.
