putting the @ in front of the name (no space) notifies them (which is what I did in previous post) also sounds like another member sent a message on your behalf.

Keep in mind that the Mods here are volunteers, and do things here on their own time, people do have lives offline too, not to mention that we have NO IDEA just how much stuff behind the scenes is going on here that the mods deal with, so it may take a little time before you get a response. ;)

It is not easy to counsel you not knowing who you are/were or where any possible offense may have taken place. If it was in the chat rooms, it is quite a different matter than being banned from the forums. If you were banned from the forums, first thing is, it is against the rules to create another account, so that right there is not in your favor, although I am not sure how else you could talk to the site owner or the active mod without doing so. Being banned from the chat rooms may be a temporary thing that only lasts a few days, but please do not quote me on that, as I am not a chat room frequenter at all. I have heard, though, that it is not necessarily mods who do the banning in chat rooms, but the people who are there, being that if three want you gone, they have the power to oust you if three make that move. That may be why it is temporary, if that is the case. Have you checked the user2user tech support threads to see if your issue is covered there?

Long story short I really don't have anyone and this was super uplifting. I just wish I could have a chance to at least explain myself or understand. Don't know if thiers anything I can do.

Chat and forums are two separate entities thus a ban from chat does not equate to a ban from the forums. Unfortunately, I have no access to anything from chat thus I can't be any help to this situation.

Years ago chat was solely moderated by staff moderators however in more recent years RoboOp chose to move away from that model and transitioned to user moderated rooms and as a result it takes 3 trusted users to vote to ban someone to remove them from chat. Only RoboOp has access to the vote to ban records thus only he is able to determine if a ban was justified or not. It's an imperfect system however when a site like this is ad free (thus revenue limited) there is only so much that a couple of volunteer staffers can keep up with.
