The Catholic Church rejected the doctrine

Protestants are against it

For me, it is just what the book is conveying

I would rather suggest it is linked to the Church Fathers and why they triumphed... rightly
Not exactly...

2 Corinthians 2:14 (NASB) But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.

I am not Orthodox though, for the record

I do not think that is a good way to baptize a baby

Also, playing dressup is weird

I'm no longer into esoteric Eastern mysticism. I'm united to Christ.
They are saying the same truth to different cultures

My Christianity is based on John 17:20-26

It says this is the proof of him.

Krishna says the same is proof of him...

He talks about climbing beyond the opposites

It is good to get a feel for how they each attempt to convey it until it happens to you, then you see some were better than others

The thing itself is most important though

The reality of living the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4)

Jesus says he is the truth... good good

He says he is the way... good good

He says he is the life... hmm

Yes, well that aroma will one day bring judgment on the ecumenicists who reject such passages such as this one...

John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

See, before it happened I recalled this... when left with object and subject alone I asked what could these both be?

I recalled 1 John 4:8 and bang

Bang?

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
(1Jn 4:8)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
(Joh 14:6)

Connection?

1 John 4:19 (NASB) We love, because He first loved us.
