What is the image of the beast that speaks as mentioned in Revelation 13:15?
I'm not fully sure but I watched something on hologram technology and it might be related to that.
What is the image of the beast that speaks as mentioned in Revelation 13:15?
So Jesus has returned, and he is enacting judgment
12 That they all might be damned (judged?) who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
And he reveals the true nature of the AC to those being judged.
Is that what you are saying?
But the revelation actually precedes the Lord's return I think...........Yes.
Ah ok ----- you think there is a Thunderbirds moment?
My transformation is going to look something like this...
My transformation is going to look something like this...
In Hebrews there Paul uses the verb 'optanomai' (to allow oneself to be seen, to appear).
The first appearance was after his resurrection (Acts 1:3)
I suppose the question in my mind is whether an appearance and a coming are the same or different things.
E.G. Matthew 16
28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
Paul had a vision on the road to Damascus of a light in Acts chapter 9. The people with him could audibly hear Jesus speaking.
Acts 9:7 (KJV)
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
And Jesus made it clear He will be with us always even to the end of the Earth (Matthew 28:20). In a sense Jesus is always here because He's God.
I think what we refer to as the second coming is the time Jesus will come back in bodily form to set up residence on the Earth and so much more.
But the revelation actually precedes the Lord's return I think...........
How so? Isn't it the appearance of the true Christ that will make people understand the other one was false?
for what purpose though? they are already damned
Why 'event'?The truth needs to be shown so all know who and what they worshiped as "god".
Again I ask, what possible event could reveal the antichrist as a false God to all prior to the second coming?
Why 'event'?
The Church knows he is the AC so they could demonstrate that he is not Jesus, for instance.
But the rest of the people are deceived and won't listen to them. It takes a special event to make the deceived realize that they had been lied to. That is the second coming.
I'm not sure why Jesus has to reveal the nature of the
AC to the unbelieving as they head towards their gnashing and wailing.
But if they weren't partial to the truth before, why does it matter to learn the truth at this point? It's just what happens. They believe the antichrist is God but they will find out that he isn't.
But if they weren't partial to the truth before, why does it matter to learn the truth at this point?
Does the light of the sun care about the darkness it dissipates? The truth happens, regardless of whom might witness it.
Cool. I think you are looking at this passage through Ray-Bans, as it is becoming
increasingly obvious to me that it is a First century event Paul is describing here.
