Far too often Phariseeism and legalism is the rule rather than the exception in churches today!

1. Pharisaism also Phariseeism The doctrines and practices of the Pharisees.

2. Hypocritical observance of the letter of religious or moral law without regard for the spirit; sanctimoniousness.

3. (lowercase) rigid observance of external forms of religion or conduct without genuine piety; hypocrisy.
You're dodging the salient issue with vain sophistry. Nobody can deny the Scriptures as they are codified. The commands as specified in the text are beyond refutation.

Oh please. No one is going to die because they believe that women have a right to speak. That's just a touch over-dramatic.
This is the risk you are taking. Christ Himself is making the point........very dramatically.
Thus far the countervailing arguments amount to nothing more than deception, misdirection, circumlocution, outright rebellion and haughty sophistry IMO.

Matt 7:23
And then I will declare unto them, 'I never knew you; depart you from Me, those working lawlessness.'

You are squabbling over etymology. The passage I just stated speaks for itself. The Bible instructs us not to squabble over the meanings of mere words.
Your position is indefensible. If you don't want to "squabble over the meanings of mere words", then use the words that the Bible uses. Don't make excuses for your carelessness.

You either understand the syntactic relationship surrounding this word, or you do not.
I have explained my position on this matter. Your interpretation of this passage stands on a non sequitur. You either understand that, or you do not.

The word "pastor" doesn't appear anywhere in that passage.

These are your words: "She does not need to acquire the role of pastor. The Bible clearly says that a woman should not take such a position."

So again where does the Bible "clearly" say this?
Show me one woman "pastor" who neither speaks nor teaches. You and the rest of the detractors have descended into the abyss of the absurd. Ridiculous and tragic.

"Any man can fully serve the Lord. He does not need to acquire the role of pastor. The Bible clearly says that a man should not take such a position."

When you reverse roles, it makes you realize how misogynist you are. Misogynist means "woman hater." So sick of people using a KJV, commissioned to be translated by a King who hated women, being used as the standard for so-called "roles" when in fact, Greek has nothing in it that points to women not being equals to men.

Paul stated this clearly in Gal. 3:28:

"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal 3:28
You would not be the only one who thinks that Jesus Christ is the "oppressor"....
IMO the modern-day liberal "woke" Church is in outright rebellion. As a result judgment is coming upon America........as everyone who has eyes to see with can see.

Tell us truthfully are you a Biden-Harris supporter too? BLM supporter?

Psalm 2
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

If you do not comprehend the proper exegetical treatment for that Scripture, I would urge you to spend some time and find out. Hint: it has nothing whatsoever to do with ordaining women pastors.

I am not a woman hater by any means. I myself am a woman. The God designed role of women in the church is equally as important as the role of a men - just different. There is no difference in the value of the work.

None of this applies. You are blowing this all out of proportion.
The first Misogynist Church of Paranoid Delusions may impose what ever extremist set of rules they wish on their congregations.
But just get over yourself. You are most assuredly not speaking for The Lord or for Paul.

Also, I have used the precise words of the Bible by quoting directly from it. Unfortunately many people are arguing against them. This is not my carelessness. It is theirs.

If you have any Scriptures to share to support your position please let us know. I have not seen the slightest scintilla of evidence to indicate that women pastors were ever allowed in the duly constituted Church of Jesus Christ.

This idea of misogyny or oppression is of the world and of the wicked one and does and not belong in the Church. Are you of the world or of the Church that's the question.

1 John 2:3-5
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar,
and the truth is not in him.

But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

"Now, let’s talk about the word “keep.” It stresses the idea of observant, watchful obedience. Actually, the word can mean to guard, the idea of guarding His commandments. It’s not just the idea that you obey in the most marginal way - just, you know, barely above the line beyond disobedience. It’s not some desire not to sin, to avoid sin, and so you do this. But, rather, it is this positive attitude toward guarding the commandments, observing that obedience because you revere the commandments. In fact, the Greek scholar, Alford, says in his lexicon the word means to guard or watch or keep as in the case of some precious thing. That’s important.

It’s in the present subjunctive, which means it’s continual. There’s a continual sense in which you exercise a guardianship of the commandments because you consider them precious. It’s the habitual moment-by-moment, day-by-day safeguarding of the Word and, therefore, it’s an attitude of the spirit rather than an act of letter or law. And by the way, the word commandments here is not nomos, it’s not the word for law, it’s entolē, which is a word looking at an order or an assignment or a precept or a command."

Your comments might be something other than completely ridiculous if Angela were American.

The Greek word, poimen does not appear in the Greek of 1 Timothy 2. The English equivalent, "pastor," does not appear in the English of 1 Timothy 2.

Kindly quote the precise words of your Bible to prove me wrong, or concede the point and we'll move on.

I would have agreed with every word in this text and given it the thumbs up. However, you brought politics into it. Imo it is never right to bring political judgement into church. It is Gods kingdom, not the worlds.

I only used the word pastor because it is the title of this thread. But as we all know we are referring to the teaching roles within the church.

It is Easter. Christian's should be celebrating our risen Lord, and meditating upon His sacrifice for us. Not bickering. It must break His heart. He died on the cross for us and this is how we thank Him ??
