Who said person who sins will not be punished?

once again you or slanderous ways are your defeat
Let’s not be willfully ignorant.

You know full well when I said “punished” I meant “EQUAL PUNISHMENT”.

And you know full well OSAS teaches a Licensed OSAS person who commits iniquity is NOT going to receive the same punishment as an Unlicensed lost person, which is the Lake of Fire.

At worst, the Licensed OSAS guy loses a few jewels in his crown, right? BIG DEAL. What a silly conclusion.

If we keep the whole law yet stumble in one point we are guilty
the smallest sin one can think of brings death to the sinner
That’s why grace is the only way we can be saved
Repent man. Repent.

Bro, I think you made a TYPO?
It says we are guilty of the entire LAW.

James 2:10 (HCSB)
10 For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of ⌊breaking it⌋ all.

James 2:10 (NJB)
10 You see, anyone who keeps the whole of the Law but trips up on a single point, is still guilty of breaking it all.

James 2:10 (GWT)
10 If someone obeys all of God's laws except one, that person is guilty of breaking all of them.

An Unsaved person is punished if he commits iniquity, but a OSAS saved person is not.
There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

God chastises His children; does this not differ from punishment?

Besides, God is good to all, not just the saved... unless you are speaking of the final judgment.

The unrepentant receive the final irrevocable punishment of everlasting death,
whereas those saved by grace through faith in the shed righteous blood of Jesus
Christ have attained to life ever after, and we are told we can know we possess this.
Know as in know it now, not at some future, unspecified and unknown date

For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames. From 1 Corinthians 3

His retort on THE Day will be “ but Lord, Lord, did I not try with all my might not to sin and did I not preach Your Law!?”

We all know what Jesus’s answer will be to those that rejected His Sacrifice for payment of their sin, and instead try to pay it themselves.

The awful words “I never knew you....”

i heard a osas pastor say one time " some folks are saved, they just don't know they are"

what a ridiculous statement.

so, as much as we disagree with much, we hopefully can agree that osas is a joke.
Why is it a joke? John writes to us telling us certain things that we may know we have eternal life = knowing we are saved. Not to mention (why do people say this and then go on to mention... ??? LOL) those who struggle with whether or not they are saved. Are they saved? Can we know? Surely it is possible at least some of them are, and their uncertainty of that fact causes them much distress. We see it often here.

Yes, we see it often, and it is also often heartbreaking to witness. Hardly a joke.

Bro I think that is what I said. Even the smallest of sins make us guilty.

Being unsure of salvation doesn’t mean one is not saved. Just means they’re doubting salvation. It happens to many Christians.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and
this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does
not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things
to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you
may know that you have eternal life.

Yep
not I knew you but you walked away

not I knew you but your sin caused
Me to disown you

Not I knew you but now don’t know you

I NEVER knew you

The words Never and eternal are foreign to them as they have no meaning

Everyone commits iniquity because everyone sins. Only Jesus never committed iniquity.

Yes, and it is hard to go through. Ultimately it is about trust and trust can feel risky but trust in God is not because he is faithful and true. Feelings can be deceitful.

Here are a couple of songs that have been helpful to me to encourage me to trust God

It looks like we are going to be in an very heated debate my Brothers and Sisters of the OSAS side of this issue; but remember to keep your COOL, no matter what they say or do. The Laodicean Church and the Legalist are against OSAS, and they seem to be gathering their forces. Keep in mind Christ walks around the Lamp Stand of the Laodicean, but Not Sure about the Legalist's. Just quote Scipture when and where it is appropriate.

FYI, the debate has been raging for centuries.

OSAS License proponents have been strengthening the hands of sinners in their disregard for God’s Edenic command to resist and overcome temptation (Genesis 4:6 KJV) by promising them eternal life. Ezekiel 13:22 KJV condemns this false promise of security.

We already know about Christian Origination - the discussion is about Christian Obligation.

A Christian is not OSAS - if he permanently withdraws his surrender from the will of God and surrenders himself once again to his own will, that formerly grace saved, born again man will have his agape “wax cold” and dead in him and he will go to hell.
