This OP doesn't get it. Losing a girl you barely know is one thing.
The girl you saw a good quarter of the country with. The girl you read quirky Shakespeare with. The girl who respected and understood your professional goals. Who shared your dreams. That's a real kick in the backside.

I will say this as diplomatically as I can. To be so focused on 3 messages from 18 months ago, may very well be hampering your own personal growth in the dating world. You may also be bordering on obsession. I'd seek some genuine counsel on this.
