What does that even mean? Man was created with the potential to live ever after. God alone dwells in immortality. God's plan from the beginning was to make it possible for man to attain to life ever after by grace through faith in the shed righteous blood of His only begotten Son. Adam and Eve did not eat from the Tree of Life.
Before Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, their sins were not counted against them. After they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they knew right from wrong and therefore became responsible for their choices. As original creation, just like all the other living creations, they were to procreate and the characteristics of the original creations were to be handed down to their offsprings. Because of this original sin, we are all born with knowing right from wrong and following our own will instead of God's. God gave Moses the law in written form, but the law was already given when Adam and Eve became aware of right from wrong and we are all born with this knowledge (our conscience) written in our mind and heart. Given a free will, they chose to disobey God and eat of the fruit. With a free will comes responsibility so God warned them what would happen if they disobeyed. Read and consider some of my posts that explain and answer some of these questions.
Not potentially but actually immortal. If it were not so how could something we could avoid be the cause of death? Granted immortal life was a gift of God that we lost.
God alone dwells in immortality. That is Scripture and you keep overlooking/ignoring it. Man was not created immortal, but with the conditional potential to live ever after. One must eat of the Tree of Life to attain to life ever after. Adam and Eve did not do so.

I wasn't an English major, but I'm pretty sure there is a significant
difference between has and dwells.
In point of fact, the verb "dwells" denotes occupancy; which is related to
places to hang your hat, e.g. house, tent, apartment, cave, castle,
cardboard box, condo, etc. whereas "has" denotes possession.
1Tim 6:16 says God possesses immortality rather than residing in it. But
then again, I wasn't an English major so if you want to construe possessing
to be synonymous with residing, well; I'm not really qualified to correct your
grammar.

God has eternal life, and is eternally Self-existent. Why is that so hard to grasp? You don't need to be an English major to get that. God alone has immorality. Dwells, what's the difference? He lives in His eternality, that is dwelling eternally. You want to say God is dead or that He can die otherwise? That seems odd.

In my thoughts about it, that tree was never a temptation for them until Satan presented it to Eve.
they did know. remember the word of Eve " Genesis 3:3
" but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
IN that very statement Eve understood God said do not eat of that tree.
Not being of the Watch Tower or JWs, I know from the Word that Jesus-Yeshua is not in heaven as a man for His Body was glorified, and we are promised to be made just like He. We will not be He, but we will be just as He.
No one in the flesh could ever ask for more of a blessing. To thik we will all be as we are now, in this decay called flesh is a very sad thought.

I disagree The Body of Jesus is in Heaven in a glorified state. He was seen by over 500 witnesses read 1cor 15. They touched HIM, he ate, and HE ascended literally. The words of the angels in Acts chapter one was " This same Jesus ( the resurrected Lord) in like manner as YOU have seen HIm leave shall return.

1» It's human. (Heb 2:5-8, and Heb 5:1-6)
2» It's capable of dining upon ordinary foods and beverages. (Matt 26:29,
Luke 22:15-16, and Luke 22:28-29)
3» It's visible. (Matt 17:1-3, Acts 1:11, 1John 3:2, and Rev 1:7)

I believe when our Lord teaches us about not practicing the giving and taking of wives in Heaven, He also adds we will all be as the angels. My understanding is there are no distinctions before our Father, but I already know well that no man is perfect in understanding all of the Word other than It's Author.
