we are to honor God in all we do. And the context of chapters 2 of Luke and Matthew was his birth and gift were brought to Jesus . The word "Christmas" is not in the Bible as Trinity is not but the advent season is an orthodox expression of faith of the church throughout History of the Church. I stand by the preaching, honoring , and celebrating of the birth of Christ because IT is in the very word of God. you are wrong and clearly ill-equipped of Church historical context of the Birth of Christ.

You have an issue with the RCC take up with them. BUT for your information Mary was the name of the Mother of Jesus who was a virgin when she gave birth which was an old Testament fulfillment. The term " Christ- Child" in contextually correct as we see in Matthew 1:18 and 2tim3:15. They are not the something as an Egyptian goddesss. Only a fool would draw that collusion in light of the word of God.

no, as I said before "XMAS" is the removal of Christ in Christmas. The Advent season, which is the time to reflect and set apart time to commemorate the birth of Jesus, one of the holiest times in the Christian faith. The only time I have heard of "XMAS" was by atheists and non-Christians and those who had to interject a false narrative about Christmas. The Church Historically has set apart times and seasons known as the Advent and that calendar starts with many holy ( set apart) events which all are documented in the word od God.

There is bad history of the early Church but the birth of Christ and the Advent season is praise-worthy and edifying. Insulting the Mother of Jesus and trying to draw a narrative of an Egyptian goddess which are false and unreal with an actual person a woman who was named Mary a virgin who conceived by the Holy Spirit which the Word of God says ALL men will call you blessed. I will not insult the Lord's Momma. YOu can if you like. BUT don't lie about the association of false goddesses and mary a real person documented in the Biblical account and genealogy of Jesus.
Isn’t that what the RCC did though..they let other religions keep some of their practices as long as they incorporated the RCC’s teachings to? I have read that the 25th of December was a pagan holiday and Christians tried to make a Christian holiday. However..wouldn’t it make more sense that the RCC was just doing what they do? They added the pagan holiday to their teachings to incorporate the pagans into their religion? Catholic does mean universal.

Though I do know that Mary was Jesus’ mom..we shouldn’t worship her..she’s human. Yet..satan made sure that many times in history mother/child worship was a thing and the catholics continue the tradition.
the RCC worships her but we a don't throw out the word of God because of RCC error. The word of God says Mary shall be called Blessed not the RCC. Then address the RCC error don't try to make all who are Christians practicing pagan beliefs by default. Don't assume all practice pagan worship just because one says merry Christmas. I think one should think about what they do and if they are doing wrong...turn away from it. Just because it is a tradition that you may have liked all your life..doesn’t mean that its a good thing to continue to do when you learn the truth of it. After all we do worship in sprit and truth. God teaches us things every day. If you learn that what you celebrate is wrong...then you should stop it and turn away from it.

She is the mother of our Savior, sure, but pray to her? Bid her pray for us? That is a very wrong manner of honoring her.

The context of Christmas is not pagan in the Christian world view it is the birth of Christ. Found in the New Testament known as the word of God. Jesus never said don't honor his birth the decibels never said don't honor his birth. Old Testament Prophecy was fulfilled at HIS Birth. the Promise of the Lord coming was foretold BY God the Father Angel worshiped kings worshiped Shepard's worshiped prophets prophesied the Holy Spirit moved signs in heaven were given. ALL that is in the very word of God if you have found a pagan , Egyptian goddess being worshiped out of all that YOU NEED to start LOOKING AT the BIBLE.

We don’t really even know the actual day of his birth..it isn’t recorded in scripture...so if God want’s us to celebrate His birth...why not add that info. I also don’t read about the disciples setting up their Christmas trees..or even celebrating Jesus’ birthday. And that’s because Jesus didn’t come into the world for us to celebrate His birth. He came into it to save his from sin and that should be our focus. Salvation.

There’s absolutely nothing in that about celebrating the birth of His only begotten Son.
Also..why would we celebrate the birth of God? He is the I Am..the one who was and is and is to come. He is not created like us..why then should we celebrate an immortal beings human birth? After all He is sitting at the right hand of the Father at this moment..
And it is a pagan holiday that was interspersed with fake Christianity i.e. the catholic church.
How is it a red herring? If God wanted us to celebrate the birth of Jesus..he would have given us a date, don’t ya think? But that’s not why God sent His Son so we could set up trees and decorate them to celebrate the birth of His Son when we don’t really know the exact day.
Not only that we would have seen christmas being celebrated by them as well...Jesus would have talked about His birthday celebrations but no...He talked about the Father and His death and his followers sharing the Good News. That’s what was meaningful with His coming..
