The religion of man doesn't believe that the death of Christ alone results in the Eternal Salvation of all for whom Christ died, namely His Sheep Jn 10:11,15 or His Church Eph 5:25, or His People Matt 1:21.

His death for His people produces saving results Jn 12:32-33 23,24

32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

In Genesis 1:2 we see that something happened to cause the earth to be in darkness and covered with water. Whatever happened is much discussed and not the subject here. But what is pertinent is that God cannot indefinitely suffer chaos. He is a God of order and a God of Restoration. You have given some good points above, but there are some more.
  1. Our Lord Jesus died for the "sin" of the whole world (Jn.1:29). "Sin" (singular) is the serpentine nature that Adam was corrupted with and which he passed on to all other men (Rom.5:12), except Jesus. The "wages" of "sin" (singular) is death (Rom.5:17, 23). The death of Jesus allows god, judicially, to RESURRECT ALL MEN (whether saved or lost - 1st Cor.15:22)
  2. Our Lord Jesus died for the "Sins" (plural) of the whole world (1st Jn.2:2). This gives God the judicial right to extend mercy to anyone He likes. It is on this basis that Israel can be forgiven and restored to their Land. This does not mean that the guilty will escape - as the Lake of Fire testifies of.
  3. Our Lord Jesus' blood "speaks better things than that of Abel" (Heb.12:24). Abel's blood cries for justice, so God cursed the earth. Because Jesus' blood covers all sin and sins, God has the jucial right to restore the earth. This is partly applied in the Millennium, and fully applied in making the heavens and earth NEW in Revelation 21 and 22.
  4. Three of the five main Offerings, the Burnt Offering, the Meal Offering and the Peace Offering do not deal with sin and sins. They deal with man's lack in his relationship to his Maker - Jehovah. Our Lord Jesus fulfilled them all and satisfied God for men (this needs a book to explain)
  5. Every Covenant between God and man must be RATIFIED by blood because of sin and sins. The New Covenant, which will be made with Israel (in that day) when they are united and one Nation again (Jer.31:31-33; Ezek.37), was ratified by Christ's blood. That is why it is called, not only blood for the remission of sins, but "blood of the New Covenant".

Are you suggesting that Christ died only for His sheep? The Bible says that Christ died for the sins of the whole world. But not all will obey the Gospel.

I can smell the calvinism from here in this thread. Sadly many people are in the cult of Calvin. This is the cult of intellectual exercises like "debates" "textual criticism". Books, seminaries, doctorates, degrees. Codex, Aleph. Largely stuff the average person does not care about, or know about.

The way it works here is that the other Christians are evangelizing, yet some calvinists have exchanged evangelizing to "debates" and that is what they do, they evangelize people who are already Christians. And once they join, you can see the attitude change and all the calvin-bot replies that come with it.

I joined this forum quite neutral on the topic, but as I got into conversations with these people I quickly noticed how impossible calvinists are to deal with, luckily I dont hang around those circles in real life, but I can only assume how terrifying it is for a new christian to be in a room fulll of know it all elect.

It's no suggestion, yes Christ died only for His Sheep, the whole world of them. And it results in their Salvation.

Since the whole world cannot be the sheep of Christ, you need to make up your mind. Christ either died for the sins of the whole world or He did not. If He did not, you have made God and Christ liars.

My mind is made up, Christ died only for His Sheep, period! Any scripture referring to the Death of Christ, who it's for, it's exclusively His Sheep!

The Death of Christ alone saved them he died for, namely the Elect, the Sheep, since by His One Offering they were sanctified unto God once and for all Heb 10:10

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

What Covenant are you in?
I am subject to the Covenant made with Noah - for it is made with "all flesh on earth" (Gen.9:17)

I am subject to the Covenant of Promise by being IN Christ (Gal.3:29)

That is all. The Covenant of
  1. Law at Horeb is made with Israel. I am a New Creation (Eph.2:15)
  2. The Sabbath is made with Israel. I am part of a New Man IN Christ which is not to be called for Sabbaths (Col.2:16)
  3. The Levitical Priesthood is made with Levi only. I am a priest by order of Christ (1st Pet.2:5)
  4. David is made with David's House (hold). I am not of this Household (Act.15:14-16)
  5. New Covenant of Law is made with Israel (ten northern Tribes) and Judah (two southern Tribes) whose fathers came out of Egypt (Jer.31:31-33). My Father is God (Jn.1:12-13)

Which Covenants are you under - with scripture please?

There are different "worlds" referenced in the scriptures. Why would God tell us not to love the world in, 1 John 2:15, that he "so loves" in John 3:16? Answer; because in John 3:16, it is the "world of believers", and in 1 John 2:15, it is the "world of sin".

All scriptures must harmonize in order to understand the doctrine that Jesus taught.

John 3:16 used the word cosmos (world) which by defenition are those on this earth, not just the elect

Thats wrong information. Christ only died for His Sheep, the world of the elect from amongst all nations. And Salvation isnt offered to anyone, its freely bestowed up Gods elect.

Jn 3 16 is about the believing Sheep. Now do you want to discuss the other points I made that prove Christs death results in the Salvation of those He died for ?

New covenant. Same proof text as yours, Galatians 3:29. I'll add Ephesians as well:

Ephesians 2:12-17

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

We are part of the New Covenant, it was made with Israel but by faith we are included. No covenant has ever been made with Gentiles outside of the one made with Noah, and every human is automatically part of that whether they want it or not, and its got nothing to do with salvation.

This is wrong, this is a fatalistic view of theology, which is incorrect,

jesus died for all. Only the elect will be saved, because this is the will of God, that all who sees and believes will have eternal life

Prove it in the passage, show in the passage where Jesus tells nicodemus it is only his sheep.

otherwise, I will have to continue to believe as I always have,

More Calvinistic nonsense that has already been debunked. You will see that in Calvin's actual Bible commentaries, he had no choice except to confirm that Christ died for all mankind. But in spite of that he perverted the Gospel, And that is exactly what you are up to. This is called "another gospel" by Paul.
