So your saying he shoudl not act like @EleventhHour and the other person here?
that was not addressed to you
unless he hired you as his lawyer, it would be helpful to refrain from trying to post in his place

The elect don't believe. ( Israel) Service and purpose , NEVER salvation. He does without being the elect too. But that goes without saying.
That's not what the verse says ?
They may believe IF THEY WILL.
The will can be a problem, as we discussed earlier.
If they willChose this day whom you will serve.
I think all of this comes down to whether we see saving faith as a gift in the Reformed view.
If Faith must be gifted then God again is picking and choosing, I cannot see anyway around that. .. unless we can say that faith is gifted to all... but how can such faith not lead to salvation if it is indeed faith.
Faith is IN Jesus for salvation ... it is connected to Him... not just a disconnected concept one adopts.
How people can read this and think you believe anything calvinist boggles my mind
If I am not mistaken, regeneration comes with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Isaiah 63:11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of the flock? where is he that put his Holy Spirit within him?Your theory never gets off the ground because no one was regenerated before the resurrection. 1 pet 1.3 .This is a glaring oversight in reformed theology . Desperately forced into the text because of the T .U L
I am calling them out. Just like I called a few calvinists out a few months ago.ummm
I disagree. he is saying 2 different things at the same time
I don't find pointing this out accusatory. I am actually slightly bemused and a bit amused
take that as weakness on my part, but I do see both sides of what he is saying
I would be personally grateful if you would not refer to certain other posters here as false accusers and attacking
just sayin' as they say
I am really not taking sides, but this is what I see.
Election is a descriptor of those who have believed and those who have beleived are called to service.
7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. The verse doesn’t say He gave us the right to become sons of God? Wow.

8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10¶He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14¶And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Can a gift be rejected?
So easy to answer!
see EG?
this is what I am referring to
confusing to say the least but with definite C leanings
what can I say
I am done here too... but making saving faith a gift creates many problems.. “if God divinely imparts faith, then human responsibility is nullified”
It seems to me that in the Ordo Salutis ... saving faith is connected to the rest and does not fail and is not rejected.
Faith comes through hearing the Word of God, through the convicting and drawing work of the Holy Spirit, and through responding to the revelation that one has already received from God.
12But as many as received him , to them... Then 1 cor 15 .1,-4Yep. He gave us power to become sons of God. How do we become sons of God?
I havesee post above
no don't accuse me. I see what I see and that's about it. nothing here I am trying to make true to anyone
How does one become a child of God?
