We have to have verses that speak on Salvation during the church age . We must get this right ,to tell others how to be saved. Otherwise we could hinder someone from believing the truth . God is pleased to save anyone through believing.
well who is it that draws people in the first place? fancy wording recommended by you?

you go ahead and take on the burden of salvation, but it is not up to you and people are getting it right without you

I was saved at 5 and I mean good and saved as in I never lost it and have, naturally, grown in my Savior over the years

One thing I know and attest to, people are the problem as you are seem to evidence and make things so complicated even God would go whaaaaa? (not being sacrilegious).

Thats why we need to rightly divide . Jesus said he only came for Israel . Where would we be if we did not recognise the transitions , the Cross , the resurrection and the giving of the Holy Spirit. The birth of the Church , The apostle to Gentiles, the Tribulation ect . And yet some still quote Jesus without realising the above ?

right. so we will just ignore all scripture that shows otherwise and I know what Jesus said. but here is more of what He said which you apparently discount in your haste to preach your own version of the gospel

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3

The death of Christ does not ' save ' . Of course without the death we could not be saved . The death , burial and resurrection is needed . But a person is ' saved ' by his life not his death . Were saved by regeneration not the atonement.
a person is saved by their life as in regeneration?

no that is not so. a person is regenerated immediately; sanctification is ongoing throughout our lives

I have never heard one single person ever...and I have been around...state whatever gospel it is you seem to believe

Were saved by regeneration not the atonement
this is an alarming corruption of the text.

Good grief. Again can we stick to the bible please . Is 1cor 1.21 not true then ?

but you do not 'stick to the Bible'

you have your own version that you either cannot understand (meaning perhaps you are not regenerated enough to use your own words) OR you have not renewed your mind according to scripture

I consider you somewhat of a troll. did they cancel your Bible class at church so you came here?

Does this verse include all mankind, or just a portion of mankind? Psalms 143:2 for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
All have sinned.

John
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Man chooses to resist and rebel. It doesn't get any simpler than that. If you can't understand that, then I cannot help you.

Why do you add ' mere belief ' . 1 cor 2 21 doesn't? not Acts 16.30 either. Its aways translated ' believe' .

oh maybe because the Bible states even the devil and demons believe, but tremble

believe is a verb here. what action does one take when they believe? (hint: not what the devil does)

What does the verse say the devils believe? There is one God. It does not state they believe the gospel of Jesus Christ unto salvation.

Does no good to a man who has closed his ears to the truth. You are completely sold out to the false doctrine of Hypercalvinism. Perhaps you are one of the non-elect and will never be capable of understanding:(.
If you do not care to discuss scriptures with me, that is alright, If you would have the courtesy to not respond to any of my posts. Thank you, and I hope that you can be content with discrediting the power of your God by you limiting his power to do his will in saving all mankind to heaven, in your belief that mankind has the power over God in choosing not to accept him.

I hope that you realize that your theology contradicts Dan 4:35. There are plenty others on this forum that are willing to discuss the scriptures in a calm, and polite manner.

Actually no person CAN repent of sin until they know what sin IS. This knowledge comes to the newly 'born again' by degrees, so repent means to "turn away" from the sin through the conviction of the Holy Spirit of those things.

ATONEMENT is a whole other thing....ONLY the blood of animals could atone for the sins of the people in the old covenant.
ONLY the shed blood of Christ is sufficient to atone for the sins of His people in the new covenant.

The life is in the blood: Leviticus 17:10
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’

Which verse do you use to say the holy spirit convicts of things that are sinful ? And you say repent means to turn from sin ? Just looking for clarity , to track the verse or verses ?

“In whom YE ALSO TRUSTED, after that YE HEARD THE WORD OF TRUTH, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye BELIEVED, ye were SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT of promise” (vs. 13). A sinner hears the word (John 5:24); he believes the truth of the Gospel (Gal. 1:8–9); this causes him to trust Jesus Christ as his Saviour (Rom. 10:13); and upon this act of his WILL, God circumcises the sinner (Col. 2:11–12) and seals him just like you would seal up a bottle of preserves. He is preserved “until the REDEMPTION of the purchased possession” (vs. 14), and “sealed unto the day of REDEMPTION” (4:30).All is clear. The believer’s body is “bought with a price” (1 Cor. 6:20), and his physical body becomes God’s possession (1 Cor. 6:19). “The purchased possession” will be redeemed at the Rapture (1 Cor. 15:50–56), although the believer’s soul was redeemed (Eph. 1:7) the moment he trusted Christ.

REPENT definition from bible dictionary - The repentance (metanoia) called for throughout the Bible is a summons to a personal, absolute and ultimate unconditional surrender to God as Sovereign. Though it includes sorrow and regret, it is more than that. ... In repenting, one makes a complete change of direction (180° turn) toward God.

Hebrews tells us that if we continue in sin (one or more sins) there is no forgiveness therefor we have to turn from the sin. To turn from it means to understand and agree that it IS sin. NO excuses.

Holy Spirit convicts of sin: In John 16:8, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit: “When [the Spirit] comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and ...

Making the simple childlike Truth of the Gospel sound complicated is the work of the Devil. It is he and his servants who hinder the little ones.
...little ones to him belong, they are weak, but he is strong.

This is he legalistic defenition

repent means to change your mind. We have to change out view about God, our sin issue against God, and out thoughts we can be our own God, admit we are guilty and as,it we can do NOTHING to help out that situation.

jesus calls it to become poor in spirit,

one can not learn to turn away fro particular sin issues in their life until after they are saved

They believe you can just believe I in Jesus and your saved forever

they reject that it is only true faith which saves. After one truly repents,

the demons believed in god, that however had no faith in him, it’s why they fell, and why they will end up in hell

many people believe, yet have no saving faith, they have a claimed faith which James called a dead faith. Which will never save
