Not over here Gandy

'Thong' meaning

Flip Flops. Do not be alarmed if your new found Australian friend asks you to wear thongs to the beach. They are most likely expressing their concern of the hot sand on your delicate feet. Ant the Man. Flip-flops.
I warned you about them Aussies :p

ask @Gregory

I was going to say, ask gregoryp but when I typed him in it seems he has been banned??
I am just giving you a hard time Ruby.

In SA a traffic light is called a robot. Interesting how things can have a different meaning elsewhere.

you both are really awesome!
TY for the laughs, just wish
PR was here to, miss him...
:):)
I have been missing the prayerful presence of @p_rehbein
also, and hope he is okay... he did mention a few days back
about some upcoming medical procedures, but I do not
recall if that was to be with hospitalization or not

@Ruby123 and @GandalfTheWhite, yes, I saw last night also
that Gregory was banned, and it saddened me :( As for Dcon,
his last post was Sept 21; after many warnings to tone down
his antagonistic rhetoric (mod's words), plus short term bans,
mod could no longer turn a blind eye/look the other way.

Speaking of medical stuff, I have just started my chemo again, which is to go on for four months, plus, following surgery in mid August, I think I got a bladder infection or something from being catheterized... I was on a round of anti-biotics for it that ended a week ago Sunday, but unfortunately it did not clear up, and last night I was experiencing quite a bit of shooting pain in my urethra. I hope my doctor can simply order more meds for me without me having to go in to see her  I am supposed to have a tele-conference with her later this week also.

Include a little cranberry juice in your diet daily, it helps with any bladder problems. It isn't a medicine like prescription is, but it won't harm.

Yes, over the years I have heard about the usefulness of cranberry juice in this regard, but it has never been an issue for me before  If my doc orders meds to go directly to my pharmacy, I will try to remember to pick some up then, as there is a Whole Foods store kitty corner and I actually make use of their underground one hour free parking often, though the last times I was in that area, it was 8 in the morning and street parking is free a that time of day :D Hospital parking here has been free during this whole COVID thing also which has likely also saved me quite a bit of money :) I recently saw another member slagging the health care system here in Canada, but honestly, I cannot complain. Oh, well, I could, but why would I? Our health care professionals are sought out not only due to their education and expertise but also because of their demeanor :)

Oy, that's hilarious. I am glad nobody ran him over :censored: I saw a pigeon get "winged" one day quite a while back and it made me cry  I am not particularly fond of pigeons either, but I just don't like to see creatures get hurt. Most creatures, that is ;) We had a moth infestation a little while ago and I did not mind stepping on one or two of them when they were right in my path :whistle::giggle:

Part of what was so sad with seeing the pigeon being winged was the fact that the driver who did it made no effort to miss the pigeons on the road. I had to slow down anyways, and there were other witnesses across the street, on the same side of the road as the birds. One woman and I just looked up from the injured bird across the road at each other and shared a moment of, oh, I do not even know what to call it. Sadness? Sorrow? A winged bird is not long for this world. I saw a crow the other day that repeatedly free-fell nose dived as it was flying, and I jumped up out of my chair to see if it was going to fall to the ground or what, but it did eventually straighten up and fly right :)

I am having a second cup of coffee today :D I just returned from a grocery shopping excursion where I bought six liters of cranberry juice, on your strong recommendation @SoulWeaver ... among a few other things :) I had thought of it last time when I was in Capers/Whole Foods, but while looking a their juice selections it slipped my mind that cranberry was what I was actually looking for :LOL: This time however I skipped Capers and just went into Safeway. I also bought a turkey meatloaf :D Thanksgiving is coming up here, and it is very likely I will be spending it alone and not having dinner with my daughter's family as I normally would :( Speaking of turkey (gobble gobble!) my church fam is generously setting up a page for people to help me out with meals. I told them anything more than once a week would be too much  I love my church fam dearly as they are truly wonderful people :) The woman who is setting the page up has promised me turkey from their Thanksgiving dinner, with lots of stuffing. Oh my goodness, stuffing is the best :giggle: It is funny because I do not think of my diet as being really restricted right now, and yet in going over what I cannot or will not or do not like to eat, wow, the list just kept growing and growing o_O LOL! And I told her, no desserts ;) I have zero sweet tooth now! Except for coffee = sweet and creamy
