Thank you for your kind words :) I do design the panels, but the elements themselves (which is what I call the individual pieces) are pieces I have found through various exhaustive searches for particular things such as butterflies, birds, flowers, backgrounds etc, some of which are offered free for personal use (with the stipulation of no commercial gain), and others that I just happen to come across on my web travels :D I make many adjustments to any piece as I add it to the panel, altering the color, hue, brightness, contrast, size, cropping, and sometimes adding filters for special effects, though that is done mostly to the font/text, to help it stand out against the background. I started constructing my own angels a little while ago, and just completed this one yesterday :)

I seldom animate them because it is too detracting from the text, though with this one, because of the length of the text, animation seemed the best way to get it all on one panel. I had tried the dress before on previous angels but it did not work for me; I had to add the arms individually (I added the flowers in the hands, also :)), and the torso and head, to which I added hair, and then used Marilyn Monroe's face :D The wings and halo effects are also added :) My design process is fairly spontaneous, meaning, I do not start out with an idea of how I want the panel to look. I simply start with a blank frame, add a background or two or three, add flowers, put in the text, add the figure, etc etc, and so it goes. If I don't like it I just keep at it until I do, though there are some I started and never finished ;) The figure often takes the most amount of work...

Sounds like you have a happy, busy, family/home life :)
Definite talent. Whether you can call it busy or not but I love writing and reading. I write every day some of it a novel I am writing, some on forums like this and I read every day. Usually have two or three books on the go at any one time. Doing an in-depth study of the background to the New Testament Church at the moment.

That sounds like it could be a very productive study :) I am interested in history, more-so especially as I age, but I do not seem to retain it well :D Certain facts or figures will really stick with me, but a lot just falls by the wayside  For instance, over the many years I have been online as a Christian, I have read quite a bit on the history of the church, and other relevant facts regarding all things Christian, and yet, and yet, and yet... I just interpret that as meaning it is not really for me to know, in the sense of it being something I might share with others to aid in their education, even as fascinating as it can be :) Some people are quite gifted that way :)

I go through stages with my reading  Non-fiction I do not do well with, but certain fiction? Yeah, some books I have read four or five or even six times  And of course over my five years here, and the eight years on two previous sites, I have read a lot :D

What is your novel/genre about?

I have always been artistic-leaning, and was fortunate to get a job as a young adult in the only industry I knew I wanted to work in, which was photofinishing, where I have seen tens of millions of pictures over the years, and I do remember quite a few of them :D So much beauty! Digital has really changed so many things :geek: It is also how I learned some basics in photoshop, which is the program I now use to design my panels. I was using an online free program for a while, but they dumbed it down and rendered it useless for me, which was when my lovely daughter gifted photoshop to me a couple of years ago :)

Rosemary, dear sweet Rosemary, I have seen some of your lovely pictures, of your garden, your healthy beverages, etc, and I enjoy them very much. Cropping can be crucial for removing distractions ;):D Nobody really needs to see the little (or big!) mess in the corner LOL. Some people have been surprised/taken aback when they realize someone actually looks at all the photographs :giggle: It has been my honor and privilege to do so for the last forty four years, and the biggest part of my job has been making them look as good as they possibly can given what has been provided for me to work with :)

It may not be to your taste but my favorite author is John Grisham who writes legal novels. I have about 32 of the 40 that he has written. My daughter usually gives me the latest each year for Christmas. I can't think of anything better than sitting on the beach in the sun reading a good book. My daughter gave me an e-reader for my birthday so it is full of stories that do not cost me more than $1.99. The original price of some of them were over $20.

My novel is written for teen boys as they do not read much. It is about the life and times of two teen boys who live next door to each other and the things that they experience in life including the death of one of them. People who have read it for me have said they always end up in tears. I shed a few tears as I was writing it. I have incorporated Christian values into it without saying as much. Being the positive person that I am alls well that ends well and if I get round to writing number two this one will be a good lead-in.

One of the many good things about autism is memory retention. There are some things that happened 40 years ago and I still remember it as if it was yesterday. They tell me the police like witnesses who are autistic because they know if they say the person was wearing a red beanie, they know that they were wearing a red beanie, no argument.

Talking about digital changing things. Gone are the days when the camera never lies.
